When inserting .lbi, whole page turns white.

Good evening everyone,
I hope I am putting this question in the correct place, if not, my apologies, please just let me know where I should go.
Here's my problem:
I have created a library (.lbi) file for my navigation menu that way I only need to update that once and that will update all of my sites. It is a very basic layout and looks as follows:
Test
Test2
Now when I go to insert this library into a page, which I have with a background gradient... It turns the whole page white (seems to cover the background.)
I've tried making the background of the library and the table and each cell all a clear image (clear.png) and that hasnt worked.
I've also tried to make it just "default background" and that doesnt work either.
If anyone has seen this before or has any suggestions please let me know... very frustrating to not be able to figure this out.
If I just throw the table on each page it works fine, transparent background is not an issue, but then I have to update tons of pages with new links and thats very annoying!
If you also know of a better way for navigation please let me know.

Whenever I try to play gaia, the page turns white and reloads.. Help?

Okay, here's what happens.
- I go to the Gaia Homepage
- I log in.
- IT takes me to the My Gaia Page and it's fine for 2 seconds.
- The page turns white and it reloads forever, and never shows the gaia page again.
... I don't know what's going on, and this has been happening for a while now... help??!

Can someone please change how to make fullscreen not push the page down when toolbars are shown on mouse hover in FF? The toolbars should behave more like IE. This would make FF SO much better. Please dont take the IE comparison the wrong way as FF is quite superior and the ONLY browser I use, but this one thing has got to be changed. It's irritating the way FF pushes the whole web page down while in fullscreen mode when the toolbars are shown on mouse hover.

Certain pages turn white when I use Silverlight

I'm running the latest version of Firefox, Silverlight, and Flash on Mac OSX 10.8.5 with the latest software updates.
As soon as I start using silverlight (for example, if start streaming netflix in one tab) parts of other pages go white. See links below for examples.

It only happens when I begin using silverlight, and it happens every time I use silverlight, so I don't see how it can be anything else. I have no other issues with other browsers. Restarting FF fixes it, but only until I start running silverlight again.

Quit the videos app completely.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Try the videos app again.
If that doesn't work, reboot the iPad. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that fails, try this. Swipe to the right from your first home screen to get to the iPad Spotlight search. Type in the name of rhe movie in the field at the top. When the movie appears in the search - tap on it and it should start to play. Let it play for a minute or so - hit done - go back to videos app and see if all is OK.
But remember, once you start to play the rental, the timer starts.

Safari - certain pages turn white

At the index.html page when a link is activated, instead of rendering the next page everything turns white. Seems to only happen with a couple of sites, e.g. www.unhm.unh.edu . Any suggestions? No other browsers in PC land give Us trouble.

There are a number of tools to check if your website is valid, you don't need a Mac to do that.
One good tool is HTML Tidy and of course always the W3C Markup Validation Service.

Problem with CS5 crashing when inserting or deleting page

I have a legacy file (educational textbook) that was created in CS2 and has been edited and updated over the past couple of years with no problems. The file is approximately 360 pages with around 30 illustrations, a ToC, and large index. When updating the material today, I went back to insert a page due to overflow text and InDesign crashed. This happens every time I try to insert or delete a single page. I can insert a single page on pages i through viii, but when I try to insert a page beginning at Sec2:1 InDesign crashes. I can open and close the file and edit it anywhere with no problems.
If I insert 2 pages at a time, it works fine and I can flow the text into the page. But, when I go to delete the extra page I don't need, it crashes. It doesn't seem to be specific to any particular master page in the file. I tried several times to export to an IDML file, reopen and save it to an InDesign file but the same problem occurs.
The same thing happens with the file on the same verson of InDesign that is on my laptop. This problem does not occur with other InDesign files that I have created in the past. I need some help. Thank you!

I think Steve was looking for a bug that affects new Macs, which we can rul out at this point.
I suspect some corrupt text of some sort, but that's just a guess. Ther first thing I'd do is make a copy of the file for backup, then start trying to find the problem.
You mentioned this was a CS2 file originally. What was the last version, and how much editing has beeen done in CS5? Do you have the old file and can you add pages in that version?
In the CS5 version, are you able to select half of the pages at a time in the Pages panel and use the Move Pages command to move them to a new file (you need to make the new file first)? In the new file, before you move the pages, rename Master Page A to something that you didn't use in the file that is giving you trouble so that it isn't applied to any of your pages when they are moved, and open the Paragraph Styles panel flyout menuand choose Load Styles. Load the [Basic Paragraph] style from the problem doc and replace the existing one, then you are ready to move the pages.
If you are able to move the pages, move half the pages into one file, and the other half into a second file. Save both files with new names. This is a divide and conquer search technique to see if we can isolate a problem page. With each half document, see if you are able to add or delete a page. Hopefully the answer will be yes for at least one half. If it's yes for both, move the pages from one of the new docs into the other to recombine them (you may have broken a text thread when moving the pages, so check for that at the point where the two were originally separated), save As with a new name and you should be good to go.
If only one half is working, repeat the exercise with the bad half, moving halves to two more new files. Continue to do this until you are down to a single page from the old file, then remove half the text (or illustrations) and try the test again. You should be able to isolate a problem very quickly this way -- about 8 steps to get a 360 page book to down to one page.
If NEITHER half doc works, it might be a corrupt style (and that may be the problem even if one of the half-docs is OK if that style is rarely used and doesn't get imported). When you move pages to a new doc, the styles will travel with them unless there are same-named styles already there. If you suspect a bad style, you should make a new blank doc, then define, not load, duplicate styles for all of the styles in the problem file, before moving the pages. This may be a lot of work, so an easier alternative might be to place your cursor in each story, then export that story to InDesign Tagged Text (If you ask over iin scripting, someone may have a script to export all the stories at once). You can then place the tagged text into a brand new file and see if that works.

When inserting a single page pdf into another pdf, some of the text disappears

Currently working on a fairly big pdf. Have a single pdf which opens up fine. What i am trying to do is insert this single page pdf into the larger document. When it is inserted, not all the characters are being displayed like b, v, u etc. If I highlight the areas that have the text missing and choose copy, and paste it into word, all the text is there. Its just not actually showing in the final pdf. What has got me, is that if I open the single page pdf by itself, it opens up fine. Parts of the text only disappear when it is inserted into the larger pdf document. Any thoughts as it has me stumped!!!

Does the Visio PDF look correct in Acrobat? You might try to save the VISIO file as an EMF file or other vector graphic and create a PDF from there. VISIO has had major problems in the past and that may be associated with your problem.
Just for the heck of it, have you tried the reverse insertion? Try inserting the longer PDF into the single page one and then move the page to where you want it with the pages view.
Excuse my mood, but I am real tempted at this time of the evening to simply say your error was in using VISIO. Like I said, sorry.

InDesign CS5 shuts down when inserting left master page.

InDesign CS5 is shutting down whenever I attempt to insert a page from a master. I am attempting to insert a verso page before a spread. Normally it would bump the current verso to recto and the recto down to the next spread. (I need to add many blank versos in a document that has facing pages.) I have the latest update (7.0.3), and have read all previous posts on similar issues. Have tried several fixes (including deleting columns on the master pages which I have done, to no avail.) and am about ready to save all of my files back down to CS4 just so I can get the work done. Is there a remedy to this bug yet? I was hoping that 7.0.3 fixed it, (and the random elements that appear from master pages on documents that have been converted from CS4), but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Is anyone else having this trouble? Adobe? are you working on this problem? Thanks for any help.

We're seeing more reports of trouble with leagcy files in CS5 than any previous version. I'm now advocating that files you intend to convert should be exported to .inx or .idml from the original version, then open that instead of the .indd in CS5.
And if this pops up again with a file that you can't get to work with a simple export to .idml for CS5, try opening that in CS4 and re-export to .inx, then move that back to CS5. you never know.

When i click a button the webpage doesn't load... and sometimes the whole pages goes white and just shows words on the far left...

idk if it is java or what, but every time i go to certain websites, like youtube.com they go blank and just show words, no images or nothing.. however i updated something and youtube works fine.. but now a website called roblox.com every time i hit the play button on a game, (it should load the game into a new window) doesn't do nothing when i click the icon.. to load it... can anyone help me with this problem?

How to insert a whole page of figure into text

software: Pages 09' 4.2
For example,
I have three pages of text with page number 1, 2, 3. Now I need to insert a page of figure between page 1 and 2 and give the figure a page number 2 while the original text in page 2 and 3 are changed to 3 and 4. After insertion, the text in page 1 and page 3 are still continous. Any one knows the proper solution?

No you haven't.
It sounds like you want a page 2 with a Figure/Graphic of some sort and have that labelled page 2. Pages does that.
The next page will be numbered page 3 and the one after that page 4. All things Pages does.
If what you want is text to flow from page 1 jumping page 2 to continue flowing on page 3, just make the figure on page 2 floating and fill the page with text wrap on. Text will then be pushed off page 2 and continue on page 3.
Which is what I think you were asking for.
