You may need to connect the iPod in Recovery Mode and then restore it via iTunes. See this article for instructions on getting your iPod into Recovery Mode.;

I have forget my 4 digit passcode for my ipad 3 and exhausted all the attempts, Now the screen shows "ipad is disabled connect to itunes" How can I unlock my ipad now. Also I have not put "Find my iphone" in icloud as well. Please guide me to unlock it.
Also when I am trying to connect ipad to my windows PC, it shows, your software is up to date and later starts restoring while updating again. Then automatically it stops to update halfway and I have to repeat the process again and again, still in vain.

The number pad would not let me type in a 1 2 3 for my 4 digit code. After numerous tries, the phone now says iphone disabled connect to itunes. When I connected to itunes, it asked for the code which I was unable to enter. Help!
Open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB cable. Hold both Home and Power buttons on iPhone until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Restore the iPhone Firmware.

How do i recover ipod touch screen with usb cable and arrow to itunes
ipod touch 3 has usb cable and w pointing to iTunes. Can't get it to recovery or restore
Connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
If necessary:
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
For how to restore:
iTunes: Restoring iOS software
To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store -
Ipod touch won't start, just shows screen saying to connect to itunes.
Ipod touch won't start or charge, or do anything other than when I plug it in, the screen shows a picture of the usb cord connecting to itunes. When I tried to connect to itunes using my computer, nothing happened. Any suggestions?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Then try again

When I start up, desktop went back to OG and didn't ask for my login...
When I started my computer, it removed my desktop wallpaper and put back the original snow leopard wallpaper and it also doesn't ask for my login when I start my computer. What's up?
Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Disk Utility and click it. When it comes up is your Hard Drive in the list on the left?
If it is, then click on the Mac OS partition of your hard drive in the left hand list. Then select the First Aid Tab and run Repair Disk. The Repair Disk button won't be available until you've clicked on the Mac OS partition on your hard drive. If that repairs any problems run it again until the green OK appears and then run Repair Permissions.
After repairing use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for restarting from your hard drive. -
Cannot get into ipod like a hard drive
When I look on itunes and select my ipod I cannot delete songs or playb them they are all greyed out. Can someone help please, and also when you go to my computer and select the ipod it should be like a hard drive and browse your ipod but it doesnt show the files either. Thanks
How come the songs are greyed out and you cannot delete them from the ipod?
Because an iPod which is set to sync automatically will contain all the content set to sync with it in iTunes up to the iPod's capacity, and no other content from iTunes. It needs to be set to manage music manually to do that.

ITunes not asking for passcode lock when connecting
Just seen this on the Apple site:
"+If you protect your iPhone or iPod touch with a passcode, you will be prompted to enter the passcode when you connect to iTunes. Once you successfully enter the passcode, iTunes will recognize that device as authorized and you will not require your passcode to back up or sync+."
I never get asked to enter a passcode when I connect my iPhone to iTunes. Ever.
I didnt think it was a problem until I read this. Should I be getting prompted?

Why are you unable to put in the passcode? Does the iPod belong to someone else?
