When its over 100% do the following actions
Hello,
We have a following script.
Purpose of this script is to received email notifications when FS /opt is over 90%.
PCT_USED=$(df -k /opt | tail -1 | awk '{print $4}' | sed 's/%//')
echo "Info:PCT_USED:[$PCT_USED]"
MY_THRESHOLD=90
if [ $PCT_USED -gt $MY_THRESHOLD ]; then
mail -s "/opt is Over 90% in TestNode 1" [email protected] < /home/oracle/FSwatch.log
mail -s "New Changes to the FS in Test Node 1" [email protected] < /home/oracle/NewFile.log
mail -s "Here are the Large files over 100MB from Test Node1" [email protected]
< /home/oracle/LargeFile.log
echo "Info:Sending Mail"
else
echo "Info: Usage [$PCT_USED] not greater than [$MY_THRESHOLD]"
fi
We get values from the cron job as below:
30 6,14,22 * * * ( date ; df -h / /opt /tmp /dev /bkup /var /usr /opt/oracle/clearcase_release /var/vobstore /wcmsrch) >> /home/Oracle/FSwatch.log 2>&1
45 6,14,22 * * * ( date ; find /opt -mtime -1 -ls ) >> /home/Oracle/NewFile.log 2>&1
50 6,14,22 * * * ( date ; find /opt -size +100000k ) >> /home/Oracle/LargeFile.log 2>&1
00 7,15,23 * * * /home/Oracle/callover90
Now I would like to add logic when its over 100% do the following actions.
1) send message to the users to contact system administrator
2) remove /opt/oracle/headdump/javacore (remove all javacore files)
How to add this logic?
D
I have added following logic in our existing program to find FS size, new files, size over certain numbers:
mail -s "Action1:Please remove javacore files" [email protected]< /home/oracle/action1
mail -s "Action 2:Please contact System Administrator" [email protected]< /home/oracle/action2
# more action1
Please remove javacore files from /opt/oracle/AppServer/profiles/AppSrv01
#Here is the command to remove all javacore files from the System, cd to above p
ath and run the command as
# rm javacore*
#more action2
Please contact System Administrator for further assistance
Do u have any better thought?

Hello All,
I'm trying to do a fresh install of Mac OS X 10.6 Server on my Mac Mini Server and at the end of the setup process I keep getting the above error.
I connect the Mac Mini Server to my home network using its build in wireless connection and when it asks me for my Primary DNS and Computer name I enter:
Primary DNS: macminiserver.private
Computer Name: Mac Mini Server
I have managed to get it complete the install once without error but I can't seem to be able to replicate the successes and it is driving me nuts Would appreciate any help and/or advice I can get.
ThanksMac OS X Server expects functional DNS. If you don't have that (and on a NAT'd LAN, you don't have it until you set it up), you'll want to let Mac OS X Server set up its own "runt" DNS server. Once that's set-up and your installation is complete, you can rip it out and replace it with your own full DNS server configuration. And as is the usual course of further confusion here, no, you can't refer to your ISP DNS here, as that's not going to get a translation for NAT'd boxes on your LAN.
Primary DNS: macminiserver.private
That's likely asking for a DNS server on your LAN. Press return and see if you can skip that prompt, and see if Mac OS X Server will then (as usual) set up the "runt" DNS server for you for this case.
Computer Name: Mac Mini Server
I'd suggest "McNair" or "Foo" or something that'll be less typing than MacMiniServer.example.com, and I'd suggest getting yourself a real and registered domain name. While you can camp out in another domain or can create your own bogus domain name, migrating domains is a hassle and if/when you want to use some of your DNS publicly, you'll need a real and registered domain. -
I have a problem syncing iCal on my Macbook air (10.7.5) and my iPhone 4s (5.1.1) over iCloud. The following server error message comes up "The request (CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation) for account “iCloud” failed." Been to Apple Store - no luck instore, or with Super genius over the phone when with genius in store, taking data in real time via ethernet!
I had to do a full wipe of my system because of time machine back up issues 2 weeks ago, and the error has only occured at some point since then. I only did a drag and drop of my user account folders/files into an External HDD rather than a copy of my user account (advised by the staff in store at Apple to do this) and when reimported, the Mail folders are all present but each message is in a sub-sub-sub folder that is numerically named. I do not have a mirror image of the hard disk prior to the wipe, only a time machine back up from 2 weeks prior to it being done. I am uncertain if this reinstall has caused the issue.
I am not happy to upgrade the software in my iPhone until I have the calendars working. I have purchased Mountain Lion, but again am concerned about upgrading until the issues are sorted.
I have tried the other solutions on here with no luck. HELP please.
Many Thanks.Progress Update.
I made a back of what existing phtos and Videos I had on my Iplhone. I used Image capture to do this making an entire back up of photos and videoa that were still intact on the phone.
Image capture is god for this purpose, as it does exactly what you ask it to do without applying any rules or squishing the files back into iphote (which might also be corupted)
Image capture wil do the basic function of retriving the contents of the phone and save them as native files on your hard drive.
Once I did this I erased my iphone, and re intitialised it restoring an older back up from icloud.
As the retore was happneing - I did retreive the missing files that cuased the intial beviour as above, and I could play the videos that were missing in the above scenerio. The wierd ting was however that even though the source files were now back on the device, the thumbnail previews were missing. Where I ahd balck thumb nails for server portions of the resotred content.
I then went to bed as the restore is a long process. When I woke up the library had library had cleaned itself up. Mysteriously the prcess had deleted the files missing the their thumbnails.
This is very perculiar and bad behavior.
I am now repeating the process, and will attempt to download the missing content as it is restored and prior to the phone trying to fix itself.
Here are the lessons learned.
DO NOT rely on Photo Stream to keep back ups and synchornise videos from you IOS device. IT DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS CAPBILITY
DO NOT rely on iCloud Back Up alone - always fd an occassional iTunes back up or more reliably still always take a back up of photos and video files using Image Capture to be doubly sure that you a have backd up any content.
DO THIS NOW - dont wait to loose your phone ofr have your phone repaired by replacement at the apple Store. (I did both :-( -

My Finder keeps grabbing over 100% of the CPU which seems to stop me from opening any folders.
Only quitting the Finder from Activity monitor resets it to normal.
Any ideas?Nope, I don't have a "/Users/charon/Library/Mobile Documents" directory, let alone anything underneath it. Is that like an iCloud thing or something? I tend to avoid the Apple-supplied services when I can (I don't use iTunes either unless I can help it).
As an update, as of about two days later this problem seems to have solved itself. Possibly sleeping and waking did something to it (though that seems unlikely given how many times I rebooted), or else there was just some long-*** kernel process that finally worked itself out. But my system CPU is back down to normal and the cursor freezes are gone.

I have inadvertently changed a file permission setting. When opening Aperture I get the following; "Aperture cannot access this library. To use this library make sure it's file permissions are set correctly". I am an old dude new to Mac OS. Looked in settings but have no idea how to allow file sharing to myself. I have been using Aperture actively for 6 weeks. I'm the only one using this Mac. What up?
Back up all data now.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. You can demote it back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:20 ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ 2> /dev/null
Be sure to select the whole line by triple-clicking anywhere in it. You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up. You don't need to post the warning. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar. A text window opens.
In the Terminal window, type this:
resetpassword
That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select ▹ Restart from the menu bar. -
When I quit Photoshop CS6, the following message appears:
" Could not save Preferences because the file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the ‘Get Info’ command in the Finder to ensure the file is unlocked and you have permission to access the file. If the problem persists, save the document to a different file or duplicate it in the Finder."
If I try to change the Workspace in PS6 from Essentials to any other Workspace, the following messsage appears:
"Could not apply the workspace because the file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the ‘Get Info’ command in the Finder to ensure the file is unlocked and you have permission to access the file. If the problem persists, save the document to a different file or duplicate it in the Finder."
I have checked the Sharing and Permissions section of the "Get Info" panel accessed from the Finder and I have set Read and Write Privileges for my user account for Photoshop CS6. System and Admin are also set to Read and Write.
I have a MacBook Pro with OS X Version 10.9.5 and have all available updates for Photoshop CS6, Lightroom 5 and Bridge CS6.
I tried uninstalling the program and downloading it again and reinstalling, but nothing changed.
Can you help?
Thanks,

Hi texasslagle,
It sounds like you are having issues installing iTunes on your Windows 7 PC, a frustrating situation I am sure.
There is an article that you may want to use to try to complete your install here -

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

What Kappy said, or maybe your Battery charging cable is faulty, or something's happened to the input slot.
I'd take it to Apple and have them troubleshoot it for you. -
When opening iTunes, I get the following error message: "The registry setting used by the iTunes drivers for importing an burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes."
I have reinstalled iTunes twice and still get the message.
Any clues??
Thank you.I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

Hi Rick,
by "repair" I mean I went to the control panel, option - programs and features, and in the list of all my installed programs I selected "Apple Software Update". On top of the screen you find the options Uinstall, Change and Repair. I clicked the repair button and that did the trick. After the repair I could uninstall the program. I also uninstalled iTunes, Apple Application Support, Apple Mobile Device Support en Bonjour, thus all Apple programs. Then I installed iTunes 10.5 again and everything went fine.
Success,
Peter -
when installing itunes I received the following error "service Apple Mobile Device failed to start, verify you have sufficient privileges to start system services"
Me too. And if someone comes back on here with the same solution of "uninstall and re-install", please provide further advice after you have done that 3 times and the program still has the same problem in addition to the "failure to load the C runtime library" R6034 issue. I have removed itunes 3 times however I do not have permission to remove the program files/apple file and the uninstall doesn't remove it.
You're not alone buddy.
Frustrated. -
