When menu bar is on a Master page, it is always on bottom layer on its child pages.

How do you put items under it on its child pages? I don't want it getting covered over with added graphics. The workaround of pasting the menu bar on every page sucks.

Wondering if anyone ever worked this out - I am having the identical problem and more, on the individual pages, my "controlled by master" is completely greyed out. My layout works well when I am working on the master.
I am totally new to liquid layout, any tips welcome.

Cannot click bookmarks on menu bar after ALT-key when menu bar is hidden

If you personalize the toolbars, dock the "Bookmarks objects" to the menu bar (useful to reduce space) and hide the menu bar (making it visible by pressing the ALT key) you're not able to click a bookmarks bar's item anymore because (after having shown it by pressing ALT key) as you click the bookmark button the menu bar loses focus causing the whole bar to be hidden again and the click event to be catched by the main window instead of the bookmark button.

With F10 you obtain the same result, the menu bar is shown but when you click on a non-menu item the bar is hidden again not allowing the bookmark item to catch the click event.
Of course I know how to move the bookmarks bar back to the tab bar, but it is not a solution to the problem I've posted, just a workaround. As I've said in my previous post I've moved the bookmarks bar there to limit the height of the window's heading section: if I move it down again I miss my target.
Anyway, I don't think we are here to decide wherever to place the bookmarks bar, but to notify to the developers the presence of this issue.

The new look where the menu bar is hidden, looks really nice.
...but I can't find the Tools option when the menu bar is hidden.
Therefore I can't access plug-in options like Session Manager.
I would really like the Tools menu appearing i.e. below the Options in the Firefox 'start menu'.

When Menu Bar is visible Firefox cannot be draged

If the Menu Bar is visible, the Firefox can be draged only by using a "line" where the title of a tab is shown, i.e. the area/line above the Menu Bar.
If the Menu Bar is hidden, then the whole windows title area can be used to drag the window.
Is there any settings which can be used to "fix" this problem?

Some features not accessible when menu bar is turned off

Have you noticed how some features aren't accessible if you turn off the menu bar. e.g., History > Reload all windows from previous session. There's a "History" item in the "mini menu" but it just opens the history window. This seems like poor design.

I just found out even with the menu hidden I can still access it by hitting Alt+<menu letter>, e.g., Alt+i for history. Or just hit Alt to show the menu.
On the Mac, I guess that would be the wiggly key or whatever you call it.

Getting master graphics to be on the bottom layer.

Hi all, I have a master page with a footer that has a shadow coming of the top. On my pages, this shadow is covering up the graphics. I want my page graphics on top, but I can't seem to figure it out, even though I've put the master graphics on the bottom layer. Anyone have a solution?

Thanks for helping. So this is a combination of two masters. The first is my base master, with the footer. The second is a master with product information. When I open the product page master, it looks fine there. Below is a screenshot of what the master page looks like.

I have FF 28, this and other recent versions do ot have my Home pages loading. Always last sessions, though I have "home page" selected. Suggestions?

How to get torch home screen to just show no apps when menu bar is closed?

Please bear with me, I'm struggling with how to explain this ha ha!
On the torch homescreen, you touch the 'all' bar at the bottom to display the full menu. When you touch the bar again it closes the menu of apps.
When I first got the torch the menu, when closed, displayed just one row of 4 apps (SMS, browser etc) But I must've pressed something unknowingly or changed a setting so it showed no apps at all when i closed the menu. I preferred this as I like the home screen to just show the background on the phone and not look cluttered.
However it changed back recently and is now showing TWO rows of apps now not even just one! and can't for the life of me figure out how to change it back??

Just touch and drag down to the bottom of the screen. You'll then see just the arrow ^ (You can adjust that way for 0 to 3 rows of icons.) Then, when you tap the bar with the arrow, you'll get your full screen of icons back.

How to customize my default web page size, i always need to reduce whenever my web page is opened which is cumbersome

when my web page opens it occupies in full screen and most of the objects getting hidden , hence i have to use the zoom function to reduce or increase the size of the page. instead if i am given an option to open my default size web page and later on my request i can adjust in the view tab it will be quiet helpful. that is in stead of 800x600 i can switch over to much reduced resoultion size and later adjust accordingly. the web page size must in a position to be kept saved, for every time i can open and customize time to time as per my wish.

The customization role is only used for applying MDS customization. In this role you cannot change your base application outside of MDS. You'll need to select a different role for regular development, including modifying xml documents.

Can you make a Spry Menu Bar a snippet?

Is there a way to make a Spry menu bar a snippet so you can
edit the snippet and have it updated on all pages?

The include method is good, but make sure to use root
relative links in the menu so that if you place the menu on a page
in a sub folder of your site that the links will still point to the
correct place.
If you are using Dreamweaver, it may be possible to place the
menu into a non-editable region of a template and updates will be
made in all of the child page. Or you might be able to make it into
a Library item (again with root relative links), and then changes
to the library item will update throughout the site. With both of
these options, you'll need to upload the changed pages, so these
aren't as quick and easy as the include method that V1 Fusion
suggests.
If you edit the Library item and the include file, you'll see
in Dreamweaver that the menus are not styled, that's because the
file that you're editing does not have the CSS file(s) linked to
it. You should be able to add a Design Time style sheet ( IN CS3:
Text -> CSS Styles -> Design-time... ) to assist you in
seeing it like what it would look in Dreamweaver without the
library/include option.

While uploading only that page from Muse to your host, use the "Host Directory" option to upload it to a different folder. Cannot seem to change the size of the tabs, widen according

It is a while since I used XP. It will display the Firefox button but is designed to operate best with the standard menu bar from what I remember.

You should also be able to see the menubar toolbar even if the Firefox button is present by holding down the Alt key, does that happen ?
If you are unable to get the menu to appear you may need to reset the controls for the menubars, either use the firefox reset (that will get rid of any extensions you have),or just delete the ''localstore.rdf'', that just rsets customisations and is the better option,even if not quite as simple to do.
