When setting up Firefox, I skipped adding on Plugins, how do I go back to do this?
When I set up Firefox, it offered me the opportunity to set up plugins ones which I think I have using the other browser I was using-- Internet Explorer and I skipped doing it and I think I need them-- Java, Real Version, Windows, Google. Please tell me how to go back and install them now.
Go to Tools> Add-ons to see your current Extensions and get more. Or, you can go to https://addons.mozilla.org/ to find more add-ons you may like, too.

That issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session.<br />
Use "File > Exit" or "Firefox > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit Firefox") if you want to restore multiple windows.<br />
You can use "History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time.<br />
You may need to click the orange/gray Firefox button to see History.<br />
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default <b>about:home</b> Home page.<br />

My link preview has disappeared from the bottom left of the page (it no longer pops up when I hover over a link.) Thoughts on how to get it back? I really LIKE having it!
It is possible that the screen is too high and that the scroll bar and the find bar and add-on bar fall off at the bottom.
If that works then close Firefox (File > Exit/Quit) to save that setting.

I have used Firefox forever. (I also use Thunderbird.) When I opened Firefox all I get now in the menu bar is the word "Firefox" with the "About Firefox," "Preferences," etc. list. Nothing else. I cannot open Firefox and I cannot quit it, either. I can do nothing with it at all. How can I get it back. I need my hundreds of bookmarks.

What happened to the size of photos when streamed they use to fill the whole tablet now you can,t see them and that,s. What I paid $600 for also the pictures are horrible there is no retina change where as before after a few seconds the pics would just be clear and very nice now they look fake I paid for retina display 3 months ago and what I paid for you guys changed after a few months you took them off your or our screen and I,ll bet 10 to 1 they,ll appear on the newer models for a few months until people buy them then you take off and do the same thing again that is fraud and I see a law suit coming on I want what I paid for. The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ... -
I have tried Safe Mode after Firefox Restart and Third - Party are already enabled. The check box for privacy policy is above, then a Blank Box, and then 'Type the text ' Box. I can not setup (Create Account) Firefox Sync via: Tools> Setup Sync> Create A New Account> Account Details

I don't know if this is my computer or Firefox. When I type in a URL in the navigation bar and hit "enter" .... nothing happens - it won't browse. I have to look up the URL in Google and click on it to navigate to the URL. Is there some kind of setting that is messing me up? Please help.
I had this too. Starting firefox in safe-mode and disabling all add-ons solved the problem. After re-enabling all add-ons did not bring back the problem.

When I open Firefox I get a black screen; how do I get rid of it?
When I first click on Firefox my monitor shows an all black window for a home page. A small rotating circle shows up on the black window; the indicator that a web site is loading. After a few seconds the circle goes away and for a flash the screen shows the url itself of my established home page, with a bit of an outline of that opening. Just as quickly, that disappears and the window goes black again. I can close it by right clicking on the Firefox logo and selecting "close all windows," and I can minimize it by using the windows key and the letter M. I feel that the correct screen is underneath the black window, but to which I have no access.
Before all this happened the search engine Ask had made itself the home page for Firefox without my consciously asking for that. By going to the control panel and the Internet entry, I removed what had become the url (of Ask's supplied home page) in the choice for home page, with my usual one (www.excite.com). That's when the above trouble started and remains.
Obviously, I am writing this contact to the Internet and a different machine. On the computer with the problem I couldn't see what I am doing. I could have also used Windows Explorer on the troubled machine; it has not been affected with the same problem.I have also found that unchecking the "Use hardware acceleration when available" option solves this issue. This option is in the Advanced section, under the General tab.

When I installe Firefox version 4 my finger print scanner quit working. Any fixes for this?
I downloaded and installed Fire Fox 4.0 a few weeks ago. As soon as I downloaded the new software, my finger print scanner quit working. The scanner light that normally appears when ever there is a request for entering a user name or password no longer turned on and the scanner was no longer functional. I removed the new Fire Fox version and re-installed version 3.6.17. My finger print scanner is now working again.
