When syncing music, iTunes automatically cancels sync?

I have all my music on my computer already in iTunes. I would like to have it all on my phone but iTunes keeps canceling the update after it starts uploading music onto my phone.

Can anyone please help? Pleaseee?

When I sync my devices its starts to sync then it says "canceling sync" how do I fix this problem?, I am running iOS7 on my devices and the newest version of iTunes on my MacBook Pro with Mavericks.

The first thing that I always do when I have issues syncing is quit iTunes, restart my Mac and reboot my device.
Reboot your device by holding down on the sleep and power buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen and then let go of the buttons.

Try syncing songs one at a time to see if there is a problem song(s).
Do the songs play in iTunes on the computer?

I want to add that I deleted all the old back-ups and created a new back-up without any issues except sync problem.

Do you have Logitech Gaming Software installed?  If so, uninstall it and see if it resolves the issue.

  • ITunes still cancels sync after adding music

Apple still has yet to resolve this issue without having users finding ways, and solutions around this problem.
I'm at iOS 7.0.4 on a iPhone 4S, and iTunes ver. 11.1.3 on Mac OSX 10.9
A while back, I had this issue, which I resolved after trying multiple solutions.
    & Now, it's back.
I've tried my previous attempts again via different user suggestions.
    Restoring my iPhone.
    Transfering purchases
    Turning off Passcode lock
    Unchecking music and rechecking
    Disabling sync over WiFi
    Manually manage music
    Changing ID3 tags to v2.4
    AAC converted songs
    Using multiple iPhone Cables
    Restarting computer/phone.
    Making a new playlist
Transfering songs and syncing 100 at a time
Deleting iCloud backup of my music
    Syncing genius playlist
I don't want to go through the hassle of resyncing 3k+ songs everytime :\
    Any other solutions?

Download any free apps to unfreeze the frozen apps.
If the above doesn't work try a reset.
    1. Hold the Sleep and Home button down (together)
    2. For about 10 seconds
    3. Until you see the Apple logo (very important)
    4. Ignore the red slider

  • Strange sync behavior -- Itunes wants to sync music on two computers!

I use my iphone to keep contacts and calendars synced between my office and home computers, which it does nicely (asking me each time I switch machines whether I want to merge or replace the data--to which I always reply merge).
I thought Itunes was NOT supposed to be able to sync music with more than one computer--that it was supposed to produce a message saying, "The iPhone "xx" is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library?" And then let me opt out of syncing the music, while still merging the calendar and contacts files. That's exactly what happened with my previous office computer.
Since setting up my new office computer, however, Itunes on both computers WANTS to sync the music on each. That would be fine, if it were syncing my music BETWEEN the two computers (leaving me the same tunes on each computer and on the iphone), but it's not--instead it's alternatively syncing with one and then the other, removing stuff I bought at home every time I sync at the office. If I try to tell the office computer NOT to sync the music, it warns me that that would mean erasing everything on the iphone.
Anyone have any ideas about what's going on here and how I can correct it?
    Thanks!

No, unfortunately you can't sync your music from your iPhone to your computer.
I'd suggest using and external disk to transfer your music from your XP system to your new MBP. You'll just have to authorize your account in iTunes when you first play the songs.
If you have an iPod, you can use that as a disk to transfer the music: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93651 or you can use any other hard disk.
Once you have the songs on your Mac, just sync. The songs on currently on your iPhone will be replaced with the ones in your iTunes Library, as you stated.

  • Itunes keeps canceling sync on my iphone 5 ios 7

Syncing my iTunes to my iPhone 5, iOS7, keeps on canceling out before it has gotten all of the music. I've re-updated my phone, cleared music and re-synced and it just cancels at random times. Sometimes gets to 600 of my 2100 songs or sometimes gets to 16. I am not sure what to do. Help please!!!

this is happening to me as well. I have tried every single "fix" out there that I can find.
I have restored my phone from backups.
I have uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it on my comp
I have restore to factory settings and started from scratch
    literally nothing is working.

    No problem.
Okay ... Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Does that install go through okay? If so, can you connect the phones now?

  • Itunes 7.5 not syncing music folder but podcasts sync fine

    Hello,
I'm hoping someone can offer some advice. Since upgrading to iTunes 7.5 and Vista, I've noticed that my iPod classic and iTunes are no longer syncing the Music folder in my library. I've been able to repeat the following behavior:
    - music files purchased from the iTunes store do not automatically update my iPod. I can, however, drag those files to my iPod manually.
    - music files from non-CD external sources do not automatically update my iPod. I cannot drag those files to my iPod.
    - files in the Podcast folder behave as I would expect. They update my iPod whenever I connect with no intervention required on my part.

I had a similar problem with my iPhone 4S. First time syncing all my music seemed to be transferring. Then, when sync had finished, the iPhone reported that 416 tracks could not be transferred and I should see iTunes for details.
iTunes had no details to give of course and when I tried another sync nothing happened to the tracks that were missing. In fact, when beginning to sync the iPhone would report 11.9GB of music on the phone and then at the end of sync that would drop to 7.3GB, which accounted for the 416 tracks missing.
Also, when I clicked on the phone in the Devices Tab, and opened up the triangular arrow, then clicked music, I could see the missing tracks greyed out and having the sync symbol at the start of the columns.
Eventually I figured out how the fix this. It seems to be something to do with a corruption in the ID tags or the modification dates. I changed the genre of all the affected tracks to 'Other' (they were set as various things before - Other just changed them to something else.. it is the change that is important).
Then all the tracks transferred across fine.
    Weird!
    Hope this helps...

  • Does syncing to iTunes automatically update the iPad 2?  Or is there another procedure to updating the iPad 2?

    Hi,
I very recently bought an iPad 2 for my wife.  She tried to do some online shopping and couldn't get past the checkout screen.  Poor girl tried all day and was so frustrated when I came home.  I told her to use my PC laptop and she was done in minutes.  I went to the local Apple Store and their advice was to disconnect and reconnect the iPad WIFI connection.  And to update the iPad.  I sync'd to iTunes and couldn't figure out how to search for updates.  Does syncing automatically do the updating?
    Thanks

No - to update the operating system (iOS) on the iPad connect it your computer's iTunes, and in iTunes select the Device on the left-hand side, and on the summary tab click 'Check for Updates'. The current version is 4.3.3 - you can tell which version your iPad has by looking at the Version field in Settings > General > About on the iPad (the bit in brackets is just the build number of the iOS release); the iPad's current iOS version is also shown on the summary tab mentioned above. If you do not currently have the most up-to-date version then the download is just under 600 meg, and therefore may take a while to download.

  • Syncing music- ITunes can't locate

When I try to sync my iphone to itunes there is an excalmation mark and it says "the song ... could not be found. Would you like to locate it?" When I try to locate it isn't anywhere on my computer. On 'my computer' when I click on my iphone the only stuff in there is my pictures ( other people have been told to go on "IPOD_CONTROL but I don't have that ). I have tried to 'transfer purchases', I have tried to 'back up', I have tried to go on 'purchased' on itunes store and nothing works, what can I do?

Can you actually play the music in iTunes? If not, then it is NOT on your computer. At least, it's not in the location iTunes believes it is. Re-add the music to iTunes, then try again.

  • IPad 1 gives error message -54 when sync music  it won't sync songs

It gives error -54 when sync music

Try a system reset.  It's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
