When the "degregister iMessage" page tells me I have exhausted all of my tries, try again later, how long do I have to wait to try again?

I think I solved my problem of not receiving the code to deregister my number for iMessages, but now it tells me I can't submit my number because I've ran out of entries. How long do I have to wait until I can retry?????
