Whenever I connect my iPod touch 5th generation to the charger and turn it on, my touch sensor seems to stop working so I cant unlock my iPod without having to take out the charger. Whats wrong with it?

I got this iPod about 3 weeks ago. Whenever I connect my iPod to the charger the touch sensor seems to stop working. When my alarm goes off in the mornings i have to unplug the charger to stop the alarm. I cant do anything while the charger is connected. Any ideas what the problem is or how I can stop this happening?

A few other users have report the same but I have not heard of a solution. Y can try:
- Another cable
- Another USB port
- A wall charger
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Select the songs, press CTRL+I to Get Info, on the Options tab set Skip when shuffling to Yes.
If you want to the hide the songs from your main music view you could consider changing the media kind to audiobooks or podcasts if you don't mind the side effect of them showing up there instead.

Hi All, I am facing an issue wherein Decimal value of 0.01 is getting converted to 0.00. Let me brief you about Source-Target Types Source - Flat FileTarget - DB2Powercenter Version - 9.6.1 HF2 Issue - Field in Source Flat file is defined as Number(5,2). Corrosponding field from DB2 Target Table is defined as Decimal(5,2). Mapping is simple straight forward mapping with 1:1 loading from Source to Target. Now, my Source File contain data as below0.010.020.0312.01 When I execute mapping DB2 target Table gets loaded with all records. Value from corrosponding field from DB2 target table is - 0.000.020.0312.01 As you can see, value of 0.01 is getting converted to 0.00 where as all other values are working fine as expected. As a quick fix I have applied to_decimal(source_field,2) before loading into Target. Could anyone explain if this is a bug in Powercenter or there's some other issue. How do I access my iPod Touch (5th Generation). Broken Home Key, Locked Screen, No assistive touch currently off and no access to itunes on original PC.

So a friend had damaged her iPod touch by dropping it some time ago. It has been sitting in her drawer ever since (she got a new device). It is now out of warranty and she said I could have it, but only catch is i'd have to fix it some how.
Problems are:
1) iPod is locked - She doesn't know the passcode it was set to.
2) Home key broken - Unable to do a reset as per the many links I see online.
3) Assistive touch is off - Unable to turn this on as the phone is locked and I can't unlock it.
4) We no longer have access to the original PC that it was sync'd with. I've managed to get it linked to my itunes but can't do anything with it do to the fact it won't let me as iPod is locked.
So basically it almost seems there is nothing that can be done but would appreciate your help if possible. Ideally if I can get it unlocked without losing the data so I can keep the music that is on there it would be good. If not then a full reset is fine.
Can this be done? Can we turn on assistive touch without unlocking the phone and no home key? Please help,

I just got an iPod touch 5th generation back in November and while I was out in my garage trying to find something on a shelf while standing on a stool, I dropped my iPod touch the screen cracked a bit- anyone know repair prices from Apple?

So I dropped it... And the screen cracked a bit. It's fairly new (got it in November) but I noticed Apple doesn't cover accidents like mine. Anyone know the prices for getting a replacement/ repair? It's not that bad of a crack, but it's annoying and new so..Yah. Any help with prices for a replacement/warranty would be helpful and on how I should do it. Maybe I can get a replacement for cheap or free cuz I got it recently and I've never complained to Apple before? I know it's my mistake but I'd be thankful if you guys could help! Thanks!

Sorry, but the warranty does not cover accidental damage no matter how recently you got your iPod. As to servicing, Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here:

There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". It is also possible to purchase parts and find instructions on doing a repair yourself, though it's not particularly easy. So i have had this iPod touch since October 2014, i have had this problem once before so i called Apple support and we fixed it. basically, last night my iPod was working fine, but this morning i woke up and find that i couldn't turn on my device, i have left it to charge for several hours in multiple wall outlets and a Macbook port, all it does is say its charging with that annoying battery screen but it wont, i have tried to put the device in recovery mode, but iTunes will not recognize it, when ever i plug in the device to charge, the apple screen shows up fro anywhere from 5 seconds to a minute but will not turn on, i dont know what to do anymore, please help?

HELP! My brand new iPod touch 5th generation might be broken!

Hello, I recently got my Space Gray iPod touch 5th Generation that is 32GB and version is iOS 7.1.2. When I finally got it and was opening the package and trying to open it. I didn't know that there were 2 tabs on the bottom and top and I tried to pull the ipod out itself. I noticed I had to pull the tabs and then I got paranoid that I bent the ipod and it broke from the inside. Anyways, I set it up with no problem but when I went to sign in to App Store from my apple account and switched the keyboard to the numbers and other characters the keyboard got these weird short white lines and I got paranoid but when I switched the keyboard again and went back to the numbers keyboard the white lines did not appear. Now nothing strange is happening but I though that was a sign of my ipod was broken from the inside so I shaked ipod and heard nothing rattling from the inside so that gave a little relief. But I'm still VERY stressed out and paranoid because my mother got me this iPod from going to 5 stores to find the color I wanted and now I thought I was going to break it . Please help me apple community. Is the inside of my ipod ok? are there any other signs of the inside of the ipod broken? Please help, I'm only 12 and I'm going through so much stress .

When i go to sync my ipod nano 5th generation i get an error saying "A duplicate file name was specified". what do i do then?

I am trying to sync my iPod nano 5th generation to my computer and when i go to add music through iTunes i get the following message:
The iPod "X's iPod" cannot be synced. A duplicate file name was specified. Any ideas how to fix this?
On my computer (iMac) while in iTunes it is showing that the music is indeed on my iPod, but when i eject the iPod there is nothing there.

I have a 27" iMac with the latest version of iTunes. I tried restoring my iPod and even removing and re-installing iTunes. What eventually worked for me was plugging into my PC and restoring/reformatting it to work with my PC. I don't know why it wouldn't work with my iMac, but now it seems to be working.
