Where are CDA warning flags in OCI v8?

In v7 OCI there was a field in the CDA structure that contained warning flags like "procedure compiled with errors", etc. In v8 a function may return the OCI_SUCCESS_WITH_INFO code that means some warnings exist, but how could I know WHAT warnings? Online documentation says OCIErrorGet() must be called, but it returns ORA-00000 error and nothing more

Where are the internatonal flags?

I want to change the flag that is displayed in the menu bar. Instead of the usual Union Flag that is displayed when British is selected in the Input Menu of the
International Prefs I want to change this to something else. Finding the resource image and changing this while retaining the same file name should allow me to do this.
Does anyone know where this resource is stored?

The images are buried somewhere in system/library/keyboard layouts/AppleKeyboardLayouts.bundle
I doubt it is practical to change them. Better to just make a copy of the layout you want using Ukelele

and make up your own mylayout.icns flag to go with it. Put both in Home/Library/Keyboard Layouts, logout/login, check the box in system prefs/international/input menu, and you should be able to select your custom flag.

Where are the Pick/Unpick/Reject Flags stored?

Hello all,
On LR4.0 I went through the process of creating a new catalog and importing the 3.6 cat with the proverbial error at the end of the update and have been working with that cat in LR4. I've added around 300 new images to that 4.0 cat and have done some Pick/Reject flagging as well as Star Ratings.
I've just moved to the LR4.1 RC1 and successfully upgraded my original LR3.6 catalog without any errors. Now I have added/synchronized my LR4.1 RC1 cat to add in place the folders of images I've added that have the Pick/Reject flags. I see the Star Ratings but not any of the Pick/Reject flags on those folders. I do see the flags on the images that were updated with the catalog though.
Where are the Pick/Unpick/Reject Flags stored? In the catalog only? In the sidecar XMP file? Both? Doing a Ctrl-S doesn't seem to make a difference.

Conflict with 4.6 & 4.7 - what are the corresponding flag s.

My z_xxxxxxx program is using the flags declared in the std. program RSSTATPD ...
However the program RSSTATPD in 4.6 c contains stapar internal table which is declared with individual fields
where as in 4.7 E, the code of stapar internal table is commented & the stapar internal table declared using SAPWLPARAM structure.
so
In 4.6C in our z_xxxxxxx program, we coded as
STAPAR-ACCOUNTLEVEL = ' '.
STAPAR-COLLECTIVEFLAG = 'X'. and is working correctly ...:-)
Where as we need same functionality in 4.7 E also.

Where are these settings saved in Fx?

Firefox saves 'print' settings as print.* prefs in the prefs.js file in the Firefox profile folder.
You can inspect and possibly modify prefs on the about:config page.

You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

Where are the home and end buttons

so i'm new to mac and purchased a mac book pro and that's when it hit me, where are the Insert, Home, End, Page Up, Page Down keys? Where are the arrow keys. I'm not much of a track pad user and although I think it is awesome I like to keep my hands on the keyboard as much as possible.
Also, is it me or does the Delete key on a Mac move in the wrong direction (from right to left instead of left to right)?

The answer is the Fn key...
Held down in addition to the Left arrow is Home, with the Right arrow key is End, with the Up arrow key is PgUp, with the Down arrow key is PgDn, and with to the Delete key is Forward Delete.
You might find it helpful to enable the Keyboard Viewer in Hardware, Keyboard, Show Keyboard viewer in menu bar. On OS X 10.6 it displays a flag for your selected country. (Not sure about OS X Lion 10.7 though.) When enabled, click on the flag and select Show Keyboard Viewer. As you press Shift, Fn, Ctrl, Alt/Option, and Command you will see onscreen what keystrokes result, separately and in combination.

What's listening on port 454 and 455 in Azure? Warning flagged by security scan

We are about to go live with an Azure Website and, as a precaution, did a security scan on the IP address that has been allocated to us.
There were a number of low severity warnings listed which we're not too worried about, however the scan did flag that something appears to be listening on port 454 and 455, and supports TLS1.0.
RESULTS:
Available non CBC cipher Server's choice SSL version
RC4-SHA DES-CBC3-SHA TLSv1
Does anyone know what this is? I can't find it obviously listed anywhere. If it's not necessary, can I switch it off? And if it is necessary, can I set it to require a more secure protocol?
We're hosted in the "Australia East" datacentre, in case that's relevant.

These ports are used for internal communication in Azure Websites infrastructure. They are not site specific and you cannot turn them off. It is safe to ignore them.

Where are "Site settings"?

I've finally upgraded from a very old version of Dreamweaver to CS6. Trying to connect, I'm told that the server certificate is unsigned or not issued by a trusted certificate authority. I am then told to go to "Site settings" - but where are they? Not under "Site"!

That is taken care of by your hosting company on the server. DW is just warning you that your site is apparently not secure, owned by Scammy McScammerson, or the administrator oopsied and let their security certificate expire.

Where are the photos stored on the computer?

When I used the camera software to import my photos, the photos wind up in the Pictures folder. But the photos in iPhoto are nowhere to be found on my hard disk. Where are they except in the program itself?

By default, the photos are stored in the iPhoto Library in your Pictures Folder.
With iPhoto 7 (iLife 08) the old iPhoto Library Folder is now a Package File. This is simply a folder that looks like a file in the Finder. The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves.
Want to see inside? Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Standard Warning: Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.

There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
*For Users of 10.5 and later*
You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.

Many internet sites such as Flickr and SmugMug have plug-ins for accessing the iPhoto Library. If the site you want to use doesn’t then some, one or any of these will also work:
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. However, if you're using Gmail you can use iPhoto2GMail
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
*If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running*:
For users of 10.6 and later:
You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu. Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and later:
Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

Where are the FrameMaker 10 dictionaries located?

My FrameMaker 10 installation seems to be doing British English rather than American English. In the spelling checker, I do import dictionary, but can't find any! The dictionary directory on the DVD seems to contain invalid dictionaries.
So where are they hiding, and how do I install dictionaries for different languages?

The dictionaries are located in a Lingusitics folder common to Adobe installations. The exact location varies depending upon the O/S. However, you do not/cannot import any of these files - FM automatically uses the specified dictionary of the paratag or character tag containing the word in question. This allows you to mix languages in a single document.
You can tell FM to Learn a word for your Personal dictionary though via the SpellChecker.
FWIW, in my FM10 installations, both spellings are allowed with US English, whereas the UK English flags the "center" spelling.
Note: the message from FM about "no inserion point" indicates that you didn't do the global update correctly.

Open Terminal again and type the following, one line at a time, and press the Return key at the end of each one:
cd ~/Desktop
screencapture test
You may see a couple of warning messages appear. Ignore them.
Do you hear the "camera shutter" sound, and does a file named "test" appear on your Desktop, and does it look like this?
Open it. It should open Preview with a picture of your screen.
Close Preview and drag the "test" file to the Trash.

Where are the .java files compiled from .jsp files stored?

 I'm new to weblogic server. When I use Tomcat as the jsp server, it compiles .jsp
 files to .java files and then .class files. So when an error reported I can track
 it in the .java file.
 But what should I do with weblogic? It only saves the .class files in the work
 dir. Or is there a better way to trace errors in jsp files?

Pages 08 Template images -where are they saved?

I know Pages 08 does not have clip art but I like many of the pictures on the templates. I want to use some of the template images (like the cat.tiff or frog.tiff) on a blank document. Copying & pasting works but I'd rather be able to see all the template tiffs at once. Where are the template images(tiffs) located on my hard drive. Is there a specific iWork folder I can find them in?

The images are "buried" in each template which is buried in the Pages application. You can find them by Control- or right-clicking on the Pages application > Show package contents > Contents > Resources > Templates & then the folder for the template category you want. Then Control- or right-clicking on the template icon > Show package contents > Contents where you will find the actual images.
Or you can just copy & paste from an open template.

The photos are still on your phone, and if enabled in your Photo Stream. They are not automatically transferred to your computer when syncing.

Where are printer drivers stored in OS 10.8?

I am trying to set up a Epson Stylus Photo R3000 as a new printer on OS 10.8. The printer setup locates the printer and automatically selects Epson Stylus R3000 with the notation "The selected printer software is available from Apple. Click Add to download and add this printer." However, clicking on Add leads eventually to an error message: "Can't install the software for the EPSON Epson Stylus Photo R3000 because it is not currently available fromthe Software Update server." This result blocks me from setting up the printer.
I know the driver is part of the Epson driver software package that is installed with OS 10.8. I would like to select it manually. My question is where are printer drivers stored? How do I select a driver?

While a bit of a stretch, you can download the entire Epson printer package from Apple and install it. This will include all drivers for all Epson devices as opposed to the one just for your system. The package is 1GB in size, but will include everything supported.
