Where can I find the "Shared Variable Properties" VI to be used in my program for configuring SV remotely?

I was using the "configure Alarms" and "configure Logging" VIs to design two user interfaces to make use of these VIs when I came across a problem. In both VIs you can enable logging of alarms. So which one is valid? Which one has priority? Then I looked at the "Shared Variable Properties" built into the project explorer. Now I realize that I am spending all of this time redesigning this properties dialog (which also has two options of enabling logging of alarms (on the Alarms tab to the far right side as well as on the Logging tab). So now my question is, how do I access this "Shared Variable Properties" dialog through my program (Note: this would be on a different machine than where the shared variables are set up. The point is to configure shared variables remotely).

Here is a VI I re-created and posted for all. I'm not sure why NI doesn't provide their VI to the developer. The only thing I can't figure out is that when reading in the "Ack Type" into a variable, it generates an error. It will work if you go into "project explorer" and right click on the library with the shared variable and "deploy" but eventually stops working. I have tried using the "undeploy library" and "deploy library" to see if this would be a work around but had no success.
Just pipe the path of the shared variable into the vi.

So it sounds like you are trying to burn a DVD with photos on it so the photos can be either transferred to or displayed on a Windows PC, is that correct?
For the purposes of this I am going to assume you are using iPhoto '11.
Gather the photos you want to burn to DVD in one album in iPhoto. This is not absolutely necessary but it sure makes things easier for me.
Select that album, then go to the File menu and select Export...
In the dialog that shows up, select the File Export tab. Select the setting you want to use for export. Click the Export button.
Another dialog will show up. Set the location to Desktop and click the New Folder button. Name the folder something nice and descriptive and click the Create button.
Click the OK button. Quit iPhoto as the rest of this work will be done in the Finder.
You will now have a folder on your desktop with that nice descriptive name. Find it and select it. Go to the File menu and from it select Burn "Descriptive folder name" to Disc...
Insert a blank DVD when prompted.
Let the finder complete the work and eject the disc afterwards.

I purchased a set of Cli 8 cartridges when I owned a MP510 printer, but the printer died.I am now looking to purchase an all-in-one printer that uses the Cli 8 cartridges so the won't go to waste. Using iPhoto as the email client in iPhoto does not creatge a sent copy. iPhoto indicates in the Info drawer if a photo was emailed by iPhoto (under the Sharing section):
There's no easy way to search for photos that have been emailed. Each photo has to be inspected via the Info tray.
One could add a keyword to emailed photos which would let a smart album keep track of those photos.
A better solution, IMO, is to set Mail as the email client (in iPhoto's General preference pane) and use it. That will give you an sent copy, better access to your contacts and, if you want a theme, numerous photo themes under the Stationary section of Mail.

The difference is in the type of variable you are binding it to. A project variable is a variable that lives within the specific project in which it was created. A PSP URL is an address using the Publish-Subscribe Protocol (PSP). PSP URLs will enable it to communicate between different machines and also between projects which may or may not be open. The project variable will exist within the project.

Where can I find the file where the static mapping allocations of the DHCP server are stored?

In our company we are using DHCP to assign static ip addresses to our clients.
Now we are forced to change the ip address range. To prevent changing each allocation
of mac-address to ip-address manually with the admin tool i would like to change the allocation
in the file where the allocations are saved. The reason ist that i just have to use copy & paste for all
the allocations.
So how is the file named and where can I find the file where
the static mapping allocations of the DHCP server are stored? Is it just an ASCII file?
Must i note anything when i change the file manually?

     Static IP address to ethernet address bindings are stored in the /etc/bootptab file and in Open Directory. Bindings specified in the /etc/bootptab file take precedence over those in Open Directory.
     See bootptab(5) for more information about the /etc/bootptab file.
     For Open Directory, bootpd looks at the /Computers records for the following properties:
/etc/bootptab is a standard text file, while the records in Open Directory can be manipulated either through the command line, or via Workgroup Manager.

Can't open/access Shared Variable Properties Dalog Box

I've just upgraded to LV 8.6 from 8.5. Now I can't open up the Shared Variable Properties Dialog Box. In the Project Explorer, I expand the shared variable library, select the shared variable, right-click on it to get the pop-up menu, select Properties, nothing happens. The same is true when I right-click on the shared variable library or My Computer and select New>>Variable.
On another computer that I upgraded to LV 8.6, I can do the same things and get the dialog box, albeit it looks different in 8.6 than it did in 8.5.
There were no errors reported in upgrading these computers. Any ideas as to what is wrong?

I've tried re-installing LV 8.6 from the DVDs sent to me. I get the following errors:
Error 1335. the cabinet file 'mib.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error , an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. - I responded with 'ignore'
The NI Assistant Framework LabVIEW Code Generator 8.5 installaion has failed with the following error.

You need to log in to service marketplacewith S userID& password. After logging into SMP, we need to find the relevant Database to find the Shared libraries that is LIB_DBSL.SAR file & then need to unarchive in order to load the DB dependent shared libraries.

I believe this is the line to have a new menu:
replace_menu(:global.menu_module, PULL_DOWN,
:global.first_menu,NULL,FALSE);
For example: pass in parameter 1 as people, parameter 2 as people.
global.menu_module is par1 and global.first_menu is par2.
When the form loaded in, "working on people" is on the top of the form as the menu. When I click "working on people", It load in another oracle form (.fmx), I want to figure out where "working on people" comes from, what the new form (.fmx) called.
From the help, I noticed that if the last parameter in replace_menu() function is set to FALSE, the menu information should come from database. I want to know where should I check to figure out which database table it come from.

Where can i find the Media browser folder

Hi guys hey where can I find the media browser folder if I want to delete some FCPX videos to free up some space.

They are placed inside the project folder, in a folder called "Shared Items." The default location of the project folder is in your Movies folder, called "Final Cut Projects." On an external drive, the "Final Cut Projects" folder is at the top level.
The shared file will have a name that starts with the project name, and ends with whatever you shared it to. For example, "<projectname > - Mac and PC.mp4"
There will also be a file called ShareStatus.plist in that folder. It tracks all the instances of when you share the project. I will also control whether a little icon appears next to your project name in FCPX. Finally, if you delete an item that was shared and it still exists in that .plist file, you will see an exclamation point next to the shared icon; it is harmless but to get rid of that you need to delete the entry from the .plist file.

X$ tables are a view of internal Oracle kernel memory structures. And you need to be careful how you use these - not just how you interpret the data in them.
