Where do I define how MessageExchange-XML-Payload looks alike on BC? SHORT!

Hi (again),
I think, I finally understood the concept of the abstract service definitions.
Nevertheless, one thing remains unexplained to me.
If my self-coded BC (need to use axis for a specific legacy application, therefore coded an own BC) receives a MessageExchange in its thread started at the ComponentLifeCycle, where is the content of the xml-payload defined? Or will I use some parsing engine, hoping I do find my parameters within the xml-msg?
As I/my BC don't/doesn't support deploying of service untits and JBI spec page 65 states that in jbi.xml for a binding component details about services MUST NOT be specified, how will I solve this?
As of my knowledge, deploying additional service untis is obligatory, right? Or can/must I somehow deploy those descriptions?
thnx again for reading (and answering),
applet5

I just found the method
public org.w3c.dom.Document getServiceDescription(ServiceEndpoint ref) {
in Component interface. Do I simply return a wsdl-document here? will I - in my case - simply hardcode this into my code or read it from file system??
thnx

• Passing XML payload from Servlet to JMS

Hi All,
My requirement is that servlet will receive the HTTP request , convert it into XML format and publish it to JMS queue.
Now, I am stuck at the part where I need to publish the XML payload to JMS queue.
Is it possible to send the XML payload from servlet to JMS queue? Is yes, please let me know how can we achieve this.
Thanks

I suggest you go to the following page: [http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs103/pdf.html] .
In the "Programming" section, download and read at least "Programming WebLogic JMS" and perhaps "Developing Web Applications, Servlets, and JSPs for WebLogic Server" and "Developing Applications with WebLogic Server".

• Logging the XML payload in Oracle Sales Cloud

How can xml payloads for inbound and outbound web service call be logged in Oracle Sales Cloud?
We need to capture the xml payloads as part of web service calls (inbound/outbound) and store it on server/objects.
Is it possible to achieve this and if so how can this be done?
Thanks,
Abhishek

For outbound invocations from Sales Cloud, how are you invoking the web services today?
If you are using groovy scripts to invoke, you can using a println after the invocation and view the messages through the "Runtime logging" feature.
This should work if you want to view the payload for debugging purposes
However, I also see that you need to store the response. Are you trying to implement auditing?

• Amend XML payload Error for Processing

I have an issue where I need to amend the XML payload for a message that is stuck in a queue.  I am on PI 7.0, SP10 and I know I have seen this in the runtime workbench where you select the message in error and select Message Editor in Message monitoring.
For some reason, when I click the Message Editor, I get the log in, enter this, and the pop up window with the Message Display Tool (Detail Display) but I am unable to change the XML and process.,,,  I have corrected the XML but cannot seem to process this...
Normally it wouldn't be an issue but I have 145 items in the queue and I am bound to get Serialisation issues...
I have seen this and used it before - in this version...

I amended the Idoc at source system via WE19 and processed that way...
The serialisation issues resolved themselves...

msg = (Message) obj;
XMLPayload xpld = msg.getDocument();
String xmltxt = xpld.getText();
InputStream in = new ByteArrayInputStream(xmltxt.getBytes("UTF-8"));
& then using DOM parser i am trying to read the contents.
But i am not able to read anything. And no exception is raised.
How can i read contents of this xml file.
Thanks,

hi,
I am still getting same Blank payload.
My Code for Parsing is:
doc = db.parse((InputStream) xpld.getInputStream());
NodeList list_Set=doc.getElementsByTagName("record");
NodeList list_Set1=doc.getElementsByTagName("EmployeeName");
NodeList list_Set2=doc.getElementsByTagName("EmployeeID");
Audit.addAuditLogEntry(amk, AuditLogStatus.SUCCESS, "12");
String input = "";
for(int i = 0; i < list_Set.getLength(); i++){
Node f=list_Set1.item(i);
f=f.getFirstChild();
String str_f=f.getNodeValue();
Node f2=list_Set2.item(i);
f2=f2.getFirstChild();
      String str_f2=f2.getNodeValue();
input = input + str_f + "," + str_f2 +  "END" ;
Audit.addAuditLogEntry(amk, AuditLogStatus.SUCCESS, "Value added from incoming payload");
Audit.addAuditLogEntry(amk, AuditLogStatus.SUCCESS, input);
And in RWB monitoring, i am able to see:
2009-10-01 14:20:51 Information 12
2009-10-01 14:20:51 Information UNDEFINED
2009-10-01 14:20:51 Information 14
So UNDEFINED is coming for input.

• How to get the XML Payload of called process from calling process?

I have two SOA processes say process A and process B.
Process B is called by process A.In process A I, am using the getRequestMessage() method in Java code to get the XML payload of process A.
But i want the XML payload of process B in process A.How can i achieve it?

Doug,
              I used the property loader method but I could not load the limits of any sub sequence call calling an external sequence file.
I took the FlowRate_test.seq example from the NI Example folder "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 4.2.1\Examples\PropertyLoader\LoadingLimits\LimitsFromExcelFile\UsingCVI". I created a sequence called PumpTest.seq in the same folder path. I then moved the Pump Test step from the FlowRate_test.seq to the PumpTest.seq. Now created a sequence call in the FlowRate_test.seq and called the PumpTest.Seq as the module path. When I execute the FlowRate_test.seq , I get the error as shown below:
Attached is the Flowrate_Test.seq and the PumpTest.seq which should be there in the folder path "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 4.2.1\Examples\PropertyLoader\LoadingLimits\LimitsFromExcelFile\UsingCVI".
Let me know whether I am doing something wrong in this method.
My idea is to alter the runstate variable High and Low of Pump Test in the PumpTest.seq and then run the Flowrate_Test.seq.

• In PI how do I convert the XML payload (input) to a text file and send out

I am extracting data from SAP and sending thru XI / PI to a file (non-sap system).
On the receiving end, I need the file to be a text file, with one row for each "FTZ_Row concatenated_data" tag in the input.  It needs to be just a plain text file with no XML tags.
Currently the file gets one record which matches exactly to the XML payload below.
I want it to create a file that looks like this :

               CONCATENATED DATA 2

thanks for the input but I am still having issues - I get an empty file when I use the content conversion option.
My payload coming into XI is :
            <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
- <n0:FTZ_Concatenated_Row xmlns:n0="http://intel.com/xi/INTEL_PROCUREMENT/ForeignTradeZone" xmlns:prx="urn:sap.com:proxy:FI0:/1SAI/TAS0C0412CDBC3E782D0219:700:2008/06/25">

</n0:FTZ_Concatenated_Row>
Here is the layout of my data type - I am using the same for input & output

                </xsd:complexType>
             </xsd:element>
          </xsd:sequence>
       </xsd:complexType>
</xsd:schema>
I mapped these items :  FTZ_Concatenated_Row & FTZ_Row & concatenated_data
I set up my content convesion with :
      recordset structure   FTZ_Row
FTZ_Row.fieldSeparator     #
FTZ_Row.endSeparator     'nl'
I am not sure why the following row looks like this ??
        <FTZ_Row concatenated_data="CONCATENATED DATA 1" />
I thought FTZ_Row would be one tag and "concatenated_data" would be another one.
any help would be appreciated.
I have read many entries/blogs/etc in SDN but and tried many different setups, but nothing is working.

Running PB 12.1 Build 7000.  Using Easysoap.  Error ""Error while parsing SOAP XML payload: no element found" received when invoking Web Service".  This error does not appear to be coming from the application code.  Noticed that there were some erroneous characters showing up within the header portion of the XML ("&Quot;").  Not sure where these are coming from.  When I do a find within the PB code for ""&quot;" it gets located within two objects, whereas they both reference a "temp_xml_letter".  Not sure where or what temp_xml_letter resides???   The developer of this is no longer with us and my exposure to WSDL and Web Services is rather limited.  Need to get this resolved...please.

Maybe "extraneous" is an incorrect term.  Apparantly, based upon the writeup within Wiki, the parser I am using does not interpret the "&quot;"?  How do I find which parser is being utilized and how to control it?
<<<
If the document is read by an XML parser that does not or cannot read external entities, then only the five built-in XML character entities (see above) can safely be used, although other entities may be used if they are declared in the internal DTD subset.
If the document is read by an XML parser that does read external entities, then the five built-in XML character entities can safely be used. The other 248 HTML character entities can be used as long as the XHTML DTD is accessible to the parser at the time the document is read. Other entities may also be used if they are declared in the internal DTD subset.

• XML Payload extraction from XI Message

Hi to all,
I use the SXI_MONITOR transaction to see the XML Payload of XI Messages. In this transaction, each successfully message has a field "MainDocument" under "Response" section that contains the XML Payload of the message.
<B>There is a function module that I can use to extract the XML from MainDocument field?</B> I've tryed to look into SXMSCLUP and SXMSCLUR abap data tables but here I founded only the SOAP Header and SOAP Body data of the message. Here I can't see the "Payloads" data, so the MainDocument tag.

Unfortunately there was no more need for it so i did not implement but
easily speaking in all the mapping got the payload therefore u need just to create a full mapping adn to process the data u get.
In java for example is given as input stream that u can store some where and process.

• Retreive xml payload from Orabpel meta table.

Hi guys,
I am trying to trace where does the invoking xml payload get persisted for gor each bpel invocation
By analyzing the orabpel meta tables at a high level i thought i might have to join tables cube_instance, invoke_message, xml_document on conversation_id and message_guid. But on some more investigation, it seems its not that simple.
For each invocation of a "HelloWorld" program, a row is getting added to cube_instance but nothing gets into invoke_message & xml_document tables.
So, how can i drill down to my actual payload for EACH invocation?
Anybody tried this before?
Thanks in advance

Edit your posting and copy and paste the following two tags before and after your PL/SQL code..
and
This will properly format your PL/SQL code and make it a lot more readable. Remember that none here gets paid to read code and assist - so by making code easier to read ensures that it is easier to provide assistance and suggestions.
A couple of comments.
It seems like the code is confused about whether it is a web server process responding to a HTTP request, or a web browser initiating a HTTP request.
It mixes HTP (web browser) calls with UTL_HTTP (web server) calls.
I have posted sample code for a PL/SQL web browser in this thread. Perhaps that will assist on the web browser side (using PL/SQL as a web browser to retrieve XML from a web server via a HTTP command).
If you're intention is to be the actual web server process supplying the XML, then the code seems all wrong to me. You need to use OWA calls and mod_plsql to interface the PL/SQL procedure with a web server.

• How much XML/Java does one have to know?

I'm new to OA and I have a question. Besides Oracle and PL/SQL how much XML/Jave does one need to know in order to pick up this product. Does it get in your way if you don't know either? Can you get by with out it?
In other words where is that knowledge inportant?

I think this thread has been discussed so many times on this forum, always search old threads before raising new! One need core java knowledge along with pl/sql to start with OAF.
You definately don't need knowledge of xml here as it is generated automatically by Jdeveloper. If you have some knowledge of j2ee design pattern , it would be an added advantage, but basic knowledge of core java is sufficient to start with OAF.

• How to access Payload in XI Adapter Module

Hello,
I have to enhance a adapter module in xi very urgently. Target is to access a node of the XML payload and retrieve the corresponding value.
This is how my document looks like:
<mt_test>
         <element1>
              <…> </…>
         </element1>
         <element2>
              <LOG_NO>4711 </LOG_NO>
         <element2>
</mt_test>
I need now access the element <LOG_NO>. This can only appear one time in the whole xml document. My code that I did so far (inside the process method) to retrieve this element is like this:
XMLPayload xmlpayload = msg.getDocument();
         DocumentBuilderFactory factory = null;
         factory = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
         DocumentBuilder builder = factory.newDocumentBuilder();
         Document document = builder.parse ((InputStream)xmlpayload.getInputStream());
         Element rootNode = document.getDocumentElement();
<…and now I have no clue anymore…:-/…>
May you give me an example how to access the node <LOG_NO> and save the corresponding value in a String variable?
I would be really thankful.
Greetings and thanks in advance,
