Where do I enter the serial number into Lightroom to reactivate it?

I installed the free 30-day trial and then bought Lightroom as a standalone product, but I can't work out how to reactivate it.

If there is time left on the trial, a window should open when you launch the program asking if you want to continue the trial or to register. If the trial has finished it will only ask for a registration key. If LR opens normally without the window, go to Help/Lightroom Registration and put in the 24 digit key. I would recommend also opting for sending the info to Adobe to create an account and record the number there.
The above is predicated on the assumption that you have been using the perpetual license version of LR 5.7.1 and not by mistake the cloud subscription version (there has been a lot of confusion since Adobe started selling the two versions). If there is any doubt, uninstall the version you have now and do a new installation from here:

I just installed Adobe Premiere Elements 11 because I was not sure if it is supposed to be Adobe Elements 11 or Premiere. Now I need to enter the serial number but do not know how to get to that point after starting the organizer.

I only installed Premiere Elements, so far, last night. Sorry to confuse. I could have said it differently I suppose.
It has an option to install either one. Now; it said enter the serial or use trial version with a supposed option to then enter the serial number later. But to know how to get to where to do it? I found the new serial numbers one to each. I do not know how to get to where to enter one, unless I uninstall then re-install and then put in the new serial number as I set it up. If neither John or I are correct then it's possible that you've downloaded the CC trial version by mistake....you can't enter a serial number into that version and will need to uninstall it and then download the standalone version (fear not if it comes to that you'll not lose any work).

If the code you are trying to enter has letters then you are not looking at a serial number. A serial number only contains numbers - 6 sets of 4 numbers.
Find your serial number quickly
You might be dealing with a redemption code. This is especially so if you purchased it from a store or the like.

Where can I download photoshop cs 8.0 I have the serial number from the case but I can't find the Cd that came with it. I can't find where to download the software for it so I can just enter the serial number and download the program.

I am trying to find at least the trial version so that I can enter the serial number that I have on the back of the case and activate the full version so I can get some work I need to get done finished. My laptop was thrown away after a flood in my basement and I believe the cd was still in it. I don't recall ever taking it out.

Forget your existing disc and serial number. They won't work.
Download the new non-activation version of CS2 (applies to CS owners as well) from

Install then enter the new serial number provided at that link.

It sounds like what you're seeing is a malicious pop-up on the web. Do you have anti-virus software of some kind installed? If not, note that that's the only thing that can scan your computer for malware. A web site cannot do that, but it's trivial to display a pop-up in your web browser that looks very official, telling you viruses have been found and that you need to install their software to remove them. That's a classic malware trick... the software the pop-up wants you to install is the malware.
Can you provide a screenshot of the window warning you that you have malware? Press command-shift-4, then the space bar, then click the window. The screenshot will be placed in a file on your desktop. Add it to a post here using the camera icon in the post editor's toolbar. (Don't drag it into the post or copy and paste it... that will appear to work for you, but we won't be able to see it.)

Hi memorse414414, Your Adobe ID will suffice for activation. For subscription, the installer would validate from the server using your Adobe ID.

i know extremely frustrating that there is no one to contact!
i got my friend to help not sure if your having the same problem but i had to download stuffit expander from the app store to expand the zip files that you initially download you should be able to open them and enter serial number from there

Follow up from my post- I have resolved the issue I had. After several more attempts to get it to work, I finally had a chat with an agent. For all intents, I did not get a resolution for the problem, all she did was repost a link to download. What I ended up doing was uninstalled the trial of Lightroom, along with the creative cloud software, and then loaded Lightroom from the link I received when I purchased it. The program runs just fine...

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
