Where do I find DBMS_STATS procedures?
I am just beginning the preinstall section for the Oracle 9.2.0.6 patch set and they indicate that I should run the following procedures (scripts?)":
SQL> DBMS_STATS.DELETE_SCHEMA_STATS('SYS');
SQL> DBMS_STATS.GATHER_SCHEMA_STATS('SYS');
This is to clear out stats before the upgrade so that I won't be waiting while the install pointlessly goes through the SYS table. But when I tried to execute the first command above, all I got was this:
SQL> DBMS_STATS.DELETE_SCHEMA_STATS('SYS');
SP2-0734: unknown command beginning "DBMS_STATS..." - rest of line ignored.
Are DBMS_STATS procedures distinct from the base Oracle DB install? Do I need to grab another package to get them?
Either execute each procedure one by one
exec DBMS_STATS.DELETE_SCHEMA_STATS('SYS');
exec DBMS_STATS.GATHER_SCHEMA_STATS('SYS');or put them in an anonymous block
begin
DBMS_STATS.DELETE_SCHEMA_STATS('SYS');
DBMS_STATS.GATHER_SCHEMA_STATS('SYS');
end;

Where can I find Correct Procedure to Restore My Mac G5 to original OS X?
When I bought my Mac G5 Tower in 2004, it came with a Power Mac G5 Software Install and restore CD and a 3 CD set of Panther Upgrade and install discs.Last summer I installed Mac OS X Leopard 10.5. I have since installed download upgrades to OS X 10.5.8.
I was having problems with alignment when I printed, so I used the latest version of Norton Systemworks. The next thing I knew was my computer was stuck in an endless several minute loop, then it would make a lot of noise, restart and start all over again. I had to get a Mac Computer Tech to break the endless loop.
Now I'm having problems loading software, so I believe my system software is all screwed up. I feel I need to remove both Panther and Leopard and restore my computer to the original condition. Then Reinstall both Panther and Leopard.
Where can I find the Correct Procedure to Restore My Mac G5 to original OS X software?

Could not find stored procedure
Dear gurus,
I am working, for the first time, on a SAP BPC ( MS ) demo.
I have created a new input schedule based on a dynamic template, with some modifications.
However when I try to submit data, it gives an error:
"Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.up_ConcurrentLockDEL_HR'.;"
DEL_HR is my application and is based on a existing one "FINANCE", but I have added new dimensions and deleted another ones.
I can not understand this message because I don't know where I define stored procedures. I also commented all script logics that this application had.
Could you help me on this?
Best regards,
Vitor RamalhoHi Vitor,
You need to login to the server, where SQL has been installed. You can login to that system using remote desktop connection.
Once you login to the SQL server, under the databases, you will find your application set. Expand it and navigate to Programmability and then to Stored Procedures. Here, you will get all the stored procedures.
The above statements will guide you to find the stored procedures. However, the problem, we are looking at is little different. Usually, with every application, a stored procedure with the name, "dbo.up_ConcurrentLockappname" gets created automatically. However, I am guessing that this stored procedure is not available for your application. Search for the stored procedure just to make sure that its available or not. If its not available, search for dbo.up_ConcurrentLockFinance. I am asking to search for the Finance one since your application is copy of the Finance application. So, just to make sure that the source application is fine. If this stored procedure is present but the stored procedure for your application is not present, then I would suggest you to create the application once again. Process it properly.
Hope this helps. -
Blurb Book in Lightroom 5 on my Mac disappeared after 3 days of work. Where can I find a backed up copy via Time Machine or anywhere else?
Welcome to the WD Community.
1) I assume I can just hook the unit up via USB to my Mac and use iPartiion to reformat the drives, assuming each of the 4T drives will be seen by iPartition as a separate drive. That much seems straighforward.
Yes, and in case you ipartition dont see the unit properly, you can use the disk utilities on your Mac and you will be able to reformat the unit to make it compatible with your system.
2) Is my next step to reinstall the WD software and how do I do that? I've downloaded the Drive Utilities and Securities install apps - I assume I just run these with the drive still connected and that's all I need to do?
Yes, just run the applications.
3) What about the firmware update for Mac - when should I run that??
Normally, firmware updates are released to fix any issues that you might encounter on the drive. the latest one was released on 9/24/2014 and it fixed an issue with the drive dropping off of the list after system wakes up from standby mode.
5) And what about the "My Book Live Duo Setup" app for Mac - is that for a completely different model? What's the difference between "My Book Live Duo" and "My Book Duo"? It's these little things that I find so confusing.
Those are different units. The MBL Duo is a NAS (Network attached system) and the My Book Duo is a DAS (Direct attached system)
6) Lastly, when I have all the software installed, is that when I follow the procedure described in the Knowledge Base article ID 5724, "How to install a My Book Live or My Book Live Duo on Windows (8, 7, Vista, or XP) or Mac OSX for the first time"? Or is that procedure only for "My Book Live Duo" but not for "My Book Duo"??
That procedure is for the network units, not for your drive.

Hi,
I have a HP pavilion dv7-3135eo with a corrupt BIOS. I get the 2 flashing LEDs on the CAPS LOCK. This leaves me unable to do anything with the machine as it won't start at all. The solution to this problem (LED Codes) is to "Restore BIOS from onboard backup (jumpers)". Is there any place where I can get a service manual or other manual that shows me where this jumper is?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
- TomBIOS restore function is usually initiated by holding winkey+b on powerup.
It *may* require battery removal, ac power removal, holding start button to bleed onboard capacitive power.
Then winkey+b before ac plug power and power button until lit, then release other keys.
System should blink, may beep. May or may not display a bios recovery screen.
If it shows some activity, but does not reboot, give it five minutes before trying again.
It could be verifying in the background.
Some recovery procedures beyond this are here:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-compaq/304332-c700-cq40-cq45-dv4-dv5-dv6-hdx18t-insyde-bios-recov...
If it's not insyde but is pheonix bios, check around the board or google for it - enough bios modders out there that you should find a procedure that works. -

Where do I find "finder.plist"
where do I find "finder.plist"
I have a line in the favorite bar that is not removable.
Deleting the finder.plist should resolve this issue I understand.
But how deep I go into my system in the library under preferences there is no finder.plist.Repairing the permissions of a home folder in Lion is a complicated procedure. I don’t know of a simpler one that always works.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
Drag or copy – do not type – the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
chmod -R -N ~
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. When a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) appears below what you entered, it’s done. You may see a few error messages about an “invalid argument” while the command is running. You can ignore those. If you get an error message with the words “Permission denied,” enter this:
sudo !!
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up.
Next, boot from your recovery partition by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the recovery desktop appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, enter “resetpassword” (without the quotes) and press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select ▹ Restart from the menu bar. -

Exec XP_CMDSHELL cannot find store procedure problem
I run EXEC sp_configure 'xp_cmdshell', 1
Message is"....change from 1 to 1 "
Then
EXECXP_CMDSHELL 'Dir N:'
cannot find store procedure xp_cmdshell
I check master database.
No dbo.xp_cmdshell under store procedure.
How to fix it? I need run command
EXECXP_CMDSHELL 'Dir N:'
ThanksHallo Bestrongself,
- what SQL Server version do you use?
- since SQL 2005 xp_cmdshell is located in the sys-schema and the procedure itself is located in the resource database of Microsoft SQL Server.
You can check xp_cmdshell by using the following command:
SELECT * FROM sys.all_objects WHERE name = 'XP_CMDSHELL'
I bet you will see it in the master database because you cannot drop system procedures and will return an error if you try to do so:
USE master;
GO
BEGIN TRANSACTION
DROP PROCEDURE dbo.xp_cmdshell;
DROP PROCEDURE sys.xp_cmdshell;
DROP PROCEDURE xp_cmdshell;
ROLLBACK TRANSACTION
To execute xp_cmdshell you need to have [CONTROL SERVER] permissions otherwise it won't work. Let's say I have a login which I grant exclusive permissions to execute xp_cmdshell it will fail!
USE master;
GO
-- create the login and the user in master-database
CREATE LOGIN test WITH PASSWORD = 'glmdpf12345', CHECK_POLICY = OFF, CHECK_EXPIRATION = OFF;
CREATE USER test FROM LOGIN [Test];
GO
-- grant explicit permission to execute the xp_cmdshell
GRANT EXECUTE ON sys.xp_cmdshell TO test;
GO
-- tryp to execute xp_cmdshell as test
EXECUTE AS login = 'test'
EXEC xp_cmdshell 'DIR C:';
REVERT
-- Housekeeping
REVOKE EXECUTE ON sys.xp_cmdshell TO test;
DROP USER 'test';
DROP LOGIN 'test';
As you can see from the above statement the login "Test" got exclusive permission to execute xp_cmdshell but the execution will fail with the following error message:
The xp_cmdshell proxy account information cannot be retrieved or is invalid. Verify that the '##xp_cmdshell_proxy_account##' credential exists and contains valid information.
The above error message is clear. Test is a "normal" user which has the permission to execute the proc BUT due to missing permissions to retrieve the information about the service account it fails!
You have to grant SERVER CONTROL to the account.
So - next step...
What is your permission on server level?
You can check your permissions by using the following statement:
-- what are my permissions on server level
-- check for CONTROL SERVER!
SELECT * FROM sys.fn_my_permissions (NULL, 'SERVER') ORDER BY permission_name;
-- what are my permissions for the object xp_cmdshell
SELECT * FROM sys.fn_my_permissions('xp_cmdshell', 'OBJECT');
Can you provide us with the results of the above query?
BTW: xp_cmdshell is a well documented statement and official command which is fully supported by Microsoft. You can find all information about functionality and security of xp_cmdshell here:
