  • Outlook 2013 won't auto-save emails if encryption or digital signature is enabled.

In Outlook 2013, I recently noticed that although I have Autosave enabled, I never get drafts autosaved. The option is located in File > Options > Mail > "Save Messages" section > "[ ] Automatically save items that have not been
sent after this many minutes [3]."
Experimenting with why I have lost 2 long emails after system crashes, I discovered that Outlook 2013 will
only automatically save emails if the Encrypt and Sign buttons are turned off. By default, I enable both in our corporate environment. So I never benefit from auto-save. I've changed the Autosave location and tested various other settings to
no avail. But Autosave always works fine if there's no digital signature or encryption enabled.
Has anyone else encountered this? Is this a bug?

    Hi,
I just tested on my Outlook 2013 and experienced exactly the same.
This is pretty much by design, actually you may find you are even unable to manually save these emails as drafts if encryption or digital signature is enabled.  I can also confirm some email service providers don't allow saving Encrypted Emails
as drafts either, so this is not a bug but how it works in Outlook.

  • Can you wrap an image with a link in an html email signature?

When I cite a remotely hosted image in an html signature, and try to make that image a link, the link is ignored and the just the image is shown.
    e.g.:
    <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ubiquia/146019678805381" target="_blank">
    <img style=" position:absolute;
    height:30px;
    width:30px;
    left:172px;
    top:157.5px"
    src="http://png.findicons.com/files/icons/2779/simple_icons/48/facebook_48_black.png" alt="ubiquia facebook" moz-do-not-send="true"
    >
    </a>

For each icon that you want to use in your email signature:
locate icon on internet webpage - right-click on the icon and select 'Save Image as'. Save the icon to your computer in a suitable file.
    Then in Thunderbird
    insert > Image
choose file - locate the saved icon on your computer
click on Link tab and enter the www etc webpage link info
click on OK to insert image with link.
Codewise, where you have the actual icon you would need something stating where the icon is located:
    eg
    <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ubiquia/146019678805381" target="_blank">
path to image saved on computer included in within <> </a>

  • How can i add graphics to email signature

When I copy an HTML email signature into my ipad signature bar in settings. I pasted and shook and undid. I can see it fine. It was even visible when i sent my self a test to my Windows laptop. But it works intermittently. When I went to reply to an incoming emial, it failed again to shoe the graphic, only the text.

Set your Graphics App as an external editor in iPhoto
In order of price here are some suggestions:
    Seashore (free)
    The Gimp (free)
    Graphic Coverter ($45 approx)
    Acorn ($50 approx)
    Pixelmator ($50 approx)
    Photoshop Elements ($75 approx)
There are many, many other options. Search on MacUpdate. You can set Photoshop (or any image editor) as an external editor in iPhoto. (Preferences -> General -> Edit Photo: Choose from the Drop Down Menu.) This way, when you double click a pic to edit in iPhoto it will open automatically in Photoshop or your Image Editor, and when you save it it's sent back to iPhoto automatically. This is the only way that edits made in another application will be displayed in iPhoto.

  • Error Message  when trying to "Save Email as Activity" on Outlook 2007

    Hi all,
This is a problem that we have logged with SAP, but they cannot find any reasons as to why we are having the problem. So I'm hoping someone here might be able to shed some light...
After logging onto SAP through Outlook:
When "Saving an email as Activity" using the Outlook ADDON, we get the following error message:
    AppName: bo_syncext.exe      AppVer: 8.0.0.49      ModName: bo_syncext.exe
    ModVer: 8.0.0.49      Offset: 000cc9d5
This does not seem to work on any of our computers, except one!
He is a Superuser, and he can save emails on his PC only.
I can also save the emails, if I am logged on his computer, and am set up as a Superuser. I cannot if I am not a Superuser.
He and I cannot send emails as a Superuser on my PC.
This would lead me to think that it is a problem with our PC settings (security settings?).
Has anyone else had this problem?
    Outlook version: 2007 (12.0.6514.5000) SP2 MSO (12.0.6425.1000)
    SAP Business One 2007.
    Many thanks
    Shaoni

    Hi
I also have the same issue.
I can save an email as an activity for only one user, this user is a super user.
If i log on to that users machine as them, then sap as a user with the issue change them to a super user it works.
However logged on to any other machine it won't work. We get the error message ;-
Outlook itegration - error signature - AppName bo_syncext.exe, AppVer 8.0.0.49  Mod Name ntdll.dll ModVer 5.1.2600.3520
Has anyone fixed this on a system ???

  • I am trying to determine how I can take an email without an attachment and save it to a folder.  I am not able to paste the message anywhere.  I can copy but to no avail.  I want to set up folders in email to move and save emails.  How can this be done?

I am trying to determine how I can save emails into folders in my email account.  No ability to create a folder to move an email over into.  How can I do this?

If you are using iPad Mail app, in the left hand column tap the arrow in the top left corner until you return to where your main email address appears. This is the main account screen.
Then tap the email address/account once.
In the left column in the upper right, tap the Edit button.
At the bottom of the left column/panel there is a New Mailbox button.
Tap the button. At the top of the left column, a keyboard entry field appears.
Thiis is where you tap and enter the name of your new Mailbox folder.
Once done naming, click the done button at the top right of the left column and you are done.
This is how you add additonal mailbox folders to your email account.
Once the mailbox folders you need are created, you can return to any email entry, Tap the Edit button in the upper right of the left column, again. A button appears next to all the emails in the left column.
Tap the buttons for the ones you wish to move to a particular mailbox folder, at the bottom of the left column, choose the Move button, then pick the mailbox folder to move the emails to and they will automatically move to that mailbox folder.

  • How do I add a hyperlink like Facbook to my email signature?

I am trying to change my email signature to add the icons for Facebook, Linkedin etc... How do I do that on my iMac with snow leopard?

You can speed up what a brody suggests by making a text clipping of the link. Type it in anything, such as TextEdit, then highlight it and drag it out of that doc and drop it on the desktop; move it to a convenient place. Then, whenever you want to use it in a new email message, make sure the insertion point is where you want it to appear and then drag the clipping into the message window and let go.

  • HTML, images, links in email signatures

I am trying to add hyperlinks to website addresses inside my email signature.
I am also trying to add a Skype status button to my email signature. You can see the code it generates from this page:
    http://www.skype.com/share/buttons/wizard.html
I have read older guides on how to create webarchives via BBEdit and Safari. I tried that but did not have success with the image showing up and the hyperlinks I added in did not work.
Is there an updated tutorial for editing signatures in html for Leopard?
    I am using Mail 3.0

This is how I've found a way of doing:
Go to home/library/mail/signatures select all the files in there
Go to preferences in Mail and create a new signature
In the home/library/mail/signatures you will see a new file *.webarchive
Open your html signature with Safari
Go to File/Save as ... Save as over the new *.webarchive choosing webarchive for the format
Restart Apple mail if you need to
(for the images you will need to have them posted on a server)

  • How do I save emails with graphics into documents appear as broken page tried saving as html and all files

I am using Windows 7, and ISP provider is AOL 9.5 dialup.
When I attempt to save emails with graphics to My Documents,
any graphics, usually in body of email as a bitmap or jpeg file, when I reopen email from My Documents, the graphics appear blank, as if a broken/torn page. Is there some settings I need to adjust on Firefox to be able to save complete files.

I'm not a Mac user, that's my caveat, however there is a button on the ribbon for SharePoint Document Libraries on the Library Tab called Connect To Office.
If that works with Office 2011 you'll start seeing your SharePoint site as a place where you can store documents in Office.
Otherwise, you need to click "New" in teh library itself and have SharePoint open Office for you.

  • Resize html image in email signature

Hi, I have been trying to insert my company logo in my email signature on Outlook Client 2013 but the results have been disappointing. Would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you in advance!
My company logo is in png-format. Its dimensions are 1221 x 374 px, and has a dpi of192. Its size is 37.9 KB.
I have read from various online sources that it is better to resize the image such that it is not larger than 10 KB.
However, I do not want to resize the image (to ideal width: 150 px) before inserting it in the signature editor, because doing that is bound to degrade the resolution of the image, no matter how good the photo editor is. I have tried gimp and various
photo editors, but the resulting picture quality is poor and grainy. I can barely make out the text in the logo.
These are the 4 methods that I have tried:
    1. I followed this YouTube tutorial. I insert the image in signature editor. The location of the image is at my Desktop. Save and close.
I insert the signature in a new email. The resulting image is large and appears according to its original dimensions in my signature. So I resize the image in the inserted email signature, copy that resized image, then paste it in the signature
editor. The resized image will appear, with reduced dimensions. I save and close the signature editor.
Then, I insert the signature again in the email. The dimensions of the image are correct and they appear perfect. So I do a test by sending an email to myself. When I view the email on Outlook Client, the image looks perfect. However, on Outlook
Web App, the image is extremely large and out of place. I have been racking my brains on how to solve this problem.
    2. Same as step 1. But instead of inserting the logo from my Desktop, I inserted the logo located on the web by typing its URL in full. I used: Insert > Link to File.
However, the same problem appears. The image in the send email looks great on Outlook Client, but too large on Outlook Web App.
    3. Re-render the image to 96 dpi using IrfanView. I read from this source that Outlook will rescale any image that is not 96 dpi.
Tried Step 1 again. But image size in Outlook Web App is too large again.
    4. I followed the steps in this link to create a HTML email signature. I used an online WYSIWYG HTML editor
to generate the HTML code. I realised that altering the height and width of the image in the html changes the size of the image only in the WYSIWYG editor. I believe that Outlook Client overrides all provided image dimensions.
Thank you so much for your help!

    Hi Joy,
    Try this.
Compose the signature in Outlook, insert the original image, resize it to the correct size, by dragging the image using mouse.
Compress using inbuilt Outlook tool, this should not degrade the quality of the image much.
Click the picture or pictures that you want to change the resolution for.
Under Picture Tools, on the Format tab, in the
    Adjust group, click Compress Pictures.
If you do not see the Picture Tools and Format tabs, make sure that you selected a picture. You may have to double-click the picture to select it and open the
    Format tab.
To change the resolution for the selected pictures only and not all of the pictures in the document, select the
Apply only to this picture check box.
Under Target output, click the resolution that you want.
Now, copy all and create a new Signature out of this.
Send out an email with this new signature and see if it works on OWA.
Ensure you are checking it on the same PC and the Web browser is on 100% zoom level.
In my case its appearing slightly smaller on Browser then on PC. Check if its same on different PCs as well.

    Satyajit

  • Nokia e63 save email attachment as text file

When I receive email with text document attached and select save, it is always saved in office notes. While this is probably  a reasonable thing to do, the problem is that I cannot find the saved file using file manager. So this text document becomes unavailable for other installed programs. Answers to following questions would help mightily:
    1. How to save email attachment to specified folder (any attachment)?
    2. How to save note from Menu->Office->Notes to some specified folder?
    3. Where Menu->Office->Notes stores the notes? (Active Notes stores them in folder called ActiveNotes in root folder)
    4. Is it possible to remove this program, since its features are completely covered by Active notes?

The email client saves attachments to the folder Others if you choose 'save' from the menu. Notes cannot be individually accessed, they're a some kind of database hidden deep into your phone. To save your note to some folder the only thing you can do is copy and paste it to Quick Office and save it from there.
You can't remove the Notes program. I've moved all my notes to Active Notes and use the memory card to store them. As you said, Active Notes does all that Notes does, and more. Notes just starts up a few milliseconds faster

  • HT3529 Where can I add a signature to my messages being sent?

Where can I add a signature to all of my outgoing text messages?

The iPhone does not provide a setting to add a signature to SMS messages. The link the poster above provided only sets a signature for email accounts. Right now it is the same signature for all accounts, however it has been shown that iOS6 will allow for separate signatures for different accounts.

  • Where do I save .doc file on an ipad

I understand that by using pages app that I can open and modify a microsoft word document. But how and where can I save the file as .doc file????

    Hi
I have been using Pages Only on my iPad, but need to save files as .doc regularly... Whenever I want to make a .doc file I use the "Save As . . ." option and choose .doc in the format box.
The document itself is kept with my other Pages documents, which I believe may be what you originally asked.
As far as I can tell, on the iPad there is no way to "organize" them, like there is on the iMac or other desktop/laptop. As far as my understanding, the iPad was not intended to be a full laptop - but maybe that has changed as they have added more functionality to the iPad 2.
You can, as others mentioned, email the .doc files to anyone you choose from within Pages.
    I hope this helps
