Where is External Connector Property?

I'm looking into implementing an External Navigation Connector which will fetch the navigation nodes from an external system for the middle of the navigation hierarchy. According to the documentation ([Adding External Connector Nodes|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/45/003c4b3be30485e10000000a155369/content.htm]), I'm supposed to set a "key" in "External Connector" property in a workset, role or role folder, but I cannot find the property. Do I have to customize the SAP delivered components and add this property? What am I missing here?
Thanks!

Hi Mina,
The property does not appear in the Workset or Role creation wizard. After creating the PCD object, open it in the edit mode, and make sure you select the property category as "Navigation" or "Show All". You should be able to see the "External Connector" property.
No customization is required to add the property.
Hope this is useful.

  • Role Navigation through External connector

    Hi,
I have created a main role, and under that, I have some folders created; I want to link the External Connectors of this folders to point to a sub role. ie., when I click on these folders in Detailed Navigation, I should be taken to that corresponding role.
My Question is: What url should be given in Folder's External Connector property to make it point to a sub role.
P.S. I dont want to delta Link the sub roles to this main role.

  • RDS External Connector installation confirmation and Event ID 4106

We purchased external connectors and I have activated a 2012 R2 RDS License server per instructions at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/887432. Those instructions are for 2003 - 2008 R2 but I did not find any RDS External Connector instructions specific to
2012 and the 2008 R2 instructions matched my options. All RDS session hosts are in per user mode and pointed to the license server via group policy. Users are able to logon to the RDS session hosts successfully. This is a new deployment.
The problem is we are seeing event id 4106 on the RDS License server with messages like "CAL reporting: Windows Server 2012 : RDS Per User CAL - Installed: 0, Issued: X" where X is an increasing number depending on number of unique users that have
logged in since we activated. I ran a Cal Usage report in the RD Licensing Manager and it shows users listed under "Successful Per User License Issuance Detail", but Installed CALs says 0 and CAL Availability says 'None'.
Are we in some sort of grace period that will expire, or are we making use of our RDS External Connectors? How can I confirm?
    Regards,
    Steve

  • 2008 R2 RDS External Connector - No licenses available

    Hi,
I have external connector licenses for the 4 session hosts in my farm.
I have activated a license server for the hosts to use.
The instructions in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/887432/en-us just say to set it up but don't add any licenses.
If I do this then all my hosts report that no licences are available.
There is no key for the external connector so I'm unsure as to what to do next!
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Hi,
On your 2008 R2 RDSH server(s), in RD Session Host Configuration (tsconfig.msc), please make sure you have set the Licensing mode to Per User and Specified the name of your RD Licensing server.
On your RD Licensing server, please use RD Licensing Manager (licmgr.exe) to Activate your server.  You do not need to install any RDS CALs since you are using the External Connector license.  Please keep all documentation regarding your external
connector license purchase in a safe place.
After completing the above, please test by logging on to your RDSH server with a few different user accounts.  Next in RD Licensing Manager create a Per User RDS CAL usage report, then right-click on the report and save it as a .csv file.  Finally
open this file in Notepad and verify that it has the user accounts listed.
Additionally, please check for 4105 warning entries from Source TerminalServices-Licensing on your RD Licensing server.
    Thanks.

Well, I've already solved one of the two issues
In order to display the icons on my buttonbar buttons, I just needed to point at {hostComponent.data.data} instead of {hostComponent.data}. I'm not sure why, but {hostComponent.data} in my skin class is a handle on my instance of ButtonBarButton, not its "data" property. Any explanation is welcomed
I still have got the first issue though. Oddly enough my design works if I put an mx Image instead of the spark BitmapImage for the client logo. That will do the trick for the moment but I'd prefer to deliver a 100% pure spark component in my prototype, and I can see no reason why BitmapImage works inside my ButtonBarButtons and doesn't otherwise...

  • Z1 external connector cover error and sd card connectivity problems

    Hi
I have a few problems with my new phone in that I suspect it is faulty
I get this error message despite the covers being firmly closed: 'please close the external connector covers to secure waterproofness' when there is an SD card inside and when there isnt one. This happens everytime I switch the phone on
On the camera: 'memory unnavailable' when accessing camera function having set memory to SD card when it is inserted
It does seem to recognise an SD card in the phone but cannot access any data from it (even though it did before). On inserting SD card comes up with message that it is safe to remove. when going to settings->storage it has 'Mount SD card' in the SD card section
Any ideas before I take it back?
    Thanks for your help

    1. that is a reminder, it should give you an option to disable that message/reminder
    2. it seems that your SD card its acting up, test it with other phones and/or a computer

  • External Table : property name="oracle.kv.parentKey"

    Hi,
Base on external table example in version 2.0.23, I have major key + minor key as follow:
    /user/user<i>@example.com/-/info/
When I changed the property oracle.kv.parentKey in the config file to be full majorKey instead of one part of the major key, there is no results
    For example:
when the value of this property is: /user (the default in the example) - I got all KV pairs starting with /user prefix
but when I configure it to: /user/[email protected] which is the full majorKey I didn't get answers at all (although the KV exists).
Does this property support only first part of majorKey or may I misunderstand the concept?
    Thanks in advanced,
    YosiK

    Hi YosiK,
The parentKey value in this context is treated the same as parentKey argument to the KVStore.storeIterator() methods. As described in the javadoc for those API calls:
parentKey - the parent key whose "child" KV pairs are to be fetched. It may be null to fetch all keys in the store. If non-null, the major key path must be a partial path and the minor key path must be empty.
So, in fact, the parentKey MUST NOT be a complete major key - it must be partial. There must be majorKey components following the parentKey that is specified. The subRange argument does interacts with this though. In the example, if you leave parentKey as "/user" but add a subRange parameter with value
"I/[email protected]/[email protected]/I" you would achieve the result that I think you originally anticipated.

  • Where has the bookmark property for specifying the icon gone?

In FF3 if I selected a bookmark and its properties, I was provided a field where I could specify the location on my PC for the desired icon for that bookmark. This was particularly true for specifying the icons for the Bookmarks Toolbar. I have the TotalToolbar v1.9.1 extension installed, but I am not sure that that extension gave me that capability for FF3. In FF4 there is no such property for bookmarks to specify, or change, the icon. One step back.

This issue is caused by an extension that isn't working in Firefox 4

  • Where is Background Color Property for Text Field Prompt in Developer 6i

I update all my works from developer 2000 to developer 6i (forms 6.0). All my screens are now irregular becoz, the text field prompt background color property is not present in forms 6i. Can you help me how to solve this prob.
(one more solution i found is, can do the prompt as separate canvas object, but is there any way to set the background color for prompt entered in text field.)
    Thank you

    Hi
I think there is a bug in the first release of Forms 6i,
where the prompts got the same backgroung color of the
related item (in fact, it must have no back color,
because it has no "background color" property).
Try applying a patch over it.

  • Where to set SET_MAX_TIME property in BPEL?

I am writing a simple synchronous service in my jdeveloper. i want to change the max waiting time property(default 45 sec) to 2 min. where can i set this?

I'm supposing you are talking about 11g version.
You can set the SyncMaxWaitTime parameter in MBean Browser, from Enterprise Manager.
Click with the right mouse button on soa-infra > SOA Administration > BPEL Properties
In this page follow the link at the page botton to open More BPEL Configuration Properties, to open the MBean browser filtering by oracle.as.soainfra.config:name=bpel,*
In the right pane you will find the SyncMaxWaitTime  property.

  • External connector for 3G IP...

Recently I bought an attachment for my IP (iBreath). It's a digital breathalyzer and also a FM transmitter for music to a FM radio. The unit plugs into the charging port on the IP for power ONLY. The problem is that with my outer shell, I can't get the iBreath unit to mate fully with my IP to power the unit. The male on the iBreath just won't go in far enough.
Does anyone know of an extension that I can plug into my IP and then plug the iBreath into that? The only other avenue I have to correct this problem is to cut the bottom of my outer case off which would look a tad messy or go shell-less or find another case that is more open on the bottom. Right now I'm going bare which actually is kind of nice, but soon or later, I'll probably drop the IP and I'm worried about dents or internal damage.

My external batteries don't have this problem because they come with a cable with the standard charging plug on one end and a mini USB plug that goes into the battery. The problem with my iBreath is that the male input plug is just too short (works fine without a case).
I'm going to take a look at the richardsolo case. I thought all they made was an external battery pack that plugs directly into the IP.
In defense of the iBreath, a longer male interface would have the potential to get "beat up". What is really needed in my opinion is a "hinged" male connector that stores internally and bends or pops out when needed.

  • Does it matter where the external usb hub is plugged in?

I just got e new 7 port powered usb hub from Sitecom to connect a camera (once in a while) or card reader, printer(s), scanner, external drive etc. When I use one of the four ports on the backside of the iMac, only 1 -and only this one- specific port (let's name it "A" for now) of the Sitecom is recognised by the iMac. The other ports are not detected wether or not connected with an instrument.
But when I use the usb connection of the Apple-keyboard all of the 7 ports are detected.
    What's wrong here?
