My dad has an iMac, and he was on Safari one day when he realized that his address/URL bar was missing. We have tried to no prevail to find out how to get it back. Please help - it is a minor problem that has now turned majorly annoying. Thank you!

Then go to View > Customize Toolbar and choose the Address Bar field if that's the only thing missing, or choose the Default Set of icons at the bottom if everything is missing and drag them into place.

• Where, O where, has my address bar gone? (And how do I get it back?)

My location bar has disappeared. There is only the search bar. I want two separate bars, not one. How do I get back my location bar?

You have the Classic Theme Restorer extension and that makes the Navigation Toolbar work differently.
You can check the settings of this extension in its Options/Preferences in Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions.
It is also possible to hide the Navigation Toolbar when CTR is installed and enabled.
Make sure all toolbars are visible.

Open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.

• Where is my location bar?

Where is my address bar or the place where I type in a web address?
Also, when I need to go back one page, the left and right arrows are not there? Very crummy set up is Mozilla Firefox!!!! Also, Firefox does not show on the home page where I can print off an article.

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.

• How do I turn off that silly flash warning where the favicon is suppoed to be in the address bar

I recently noticed that the powers that be at Mozilla are now dumbing down firefox to the level of AOL. They added a new 'protect me from myself' feature where there is a little icon in the address bar next to where the favicon is supposed to be that warns about a page using flash. REALLY? You think users are THAT stupid? How do I turn that off. It is so silly and stupid.
BTW, PLEASE stop going down that path. The main reason FF has been superior is that it didn't try to warn me about every little thing on line and protect me from mys elf at every nook and cranny. Crap if you are going to continue this route why not make us type every single character three time and they confirm it with a yes/no dialog so we will be safe???

Are there any messages about this plugin in Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins or on the about:plugins page?
This icon at least let you see that plugins are present. If you set the default action to always activate then the plugin shouldn't be blocked.

• How can I get the tabs back where they belong beneath the address bar , NOT on top ???

how can I get the tabs back where they belong beneath the address bar , NOT on top ???
they are on top, which puts the address bar at a variable position depending on how many tab rows exist - makes a moving target for navigating to across my dual 24 inch screens
I tried your "solution" using about:config and setting browser.tab.on.top or whatever to false, but that had NO effect
Maybe because TabMixPlus is installed?
It does allow putting the tabs all the way at the bottom, but I don't like that either.
PLEASE, give me the address bar at TOP with tabs under that!!!
Also, I don't want FlashGot to be at the right of the address bar!!!

why should we use yet another add on to get the tabs back at the bottom? Big mistake.
Moreover, why make FF look more like Chrome? If I wanted Chrome, i would have installed it long time ago.
FF 29.0 is NOT an improvement.
Nasty piece of mud.

• In the address bar, how do you get rid of the Amazon button, the "e-pub catalogue" button and change my search button to Google vs Babylon? Where is the button beside the forward arrow that would allow you to see your current history of links?

On my address bar, there is now a superfluous Amazon button at the right of the forward arrow where there used to be a button that would allow you to see your recent links. It's gone. In addition there is a useless "epub catalog" button and the search button is Babylon instead of Google. How do I go back to my working address bar.

Right click the Back / Forward buttons to get a list of sites you visited.
To reinstate Google as your search engine, do the following.
* In the location bar, type '''about:config '''and hit Enter.
* In the filter at the top, type: '''keyword.URL'''
* Double click it and remove whatever's in there and replace it with http://www.google.com/search?q=
* Go to File | Exit
* Restart Firefox, go to the site you want to set as your homepage.
* Go to '''Tools '''| '''Options '''| '''General'''.
* Make sure it says "''Show My Homepage''" in the first dropdown menu.
* Click the button called "'''Use Current Pages'''" to set the homepage to the one you have on the screen.
The URL to add in "keyword.URL" becomes a link in this post, so right click it and choose "Copy Link Location" to copy it to the Windows clipboard. Then hit CTRL+V to paste it. Saves you having to type the whole thing.
'''EDIT''': Remove the AmAzon button by right clicking a blank part of the tab bar and click '''Customize'''. Then drag it into the panel which opens.

Could you attach a screen shot of the "speed dial?"

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

• Where is the little "F" box on the left before the address bar that allowed me to make quick posts to Facebook?

Before this update I had a little box on the left in front of the address bar that allowed me to click it and get a quick post box pop up to Facebook from whatever page I was on, now it is gone and I cannot find it. I had to do a reset of Firefox because it was running very slowly. I got a little message at the bottom that suggested the reset and so I did that. I have never had issues when there was an update. But it seems that my add-ons are gone :( I had a little menu drop down on the left side in front of the Most Visited that had all of the social media quick links also and it is gone now. I will check back in 24 hours to see if anyone has any ideas on where my little quick post button went.

That is not a standard feature of Firefox.
'''Reset''' removes all extensions and themes, along with other specific things, as explained in this support article.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-firefox-easily-fix-most-problems#w_what-does-the-reset-feature-do
You need to reinstall which extension added that '''F''' to Firefox.

• Is there a way to move the tabs bar back where it was in the older version, meaning under the address bar?

When I downloaded Firefox 4 my tabs bar moved to the top and I hate it there. I like where it was in the previous version. Is there perchance a way to move it underneath the address bar again? Thanks in advance.

Right-click on a toolbar, then click on the "Tabs on Top" entry to de-select it.

• WHY IS LINK BEING PUT IN ADDRESS BAR OF EMAIL INSTEAD OF BODY OF THE EMAIL WHERE IT SHOULD BE ???

When sending a link to someone (I choose Yahoo to launch the application), all of the sudden the link I want to send is being automatically inserted into the address bar of the email. What's up with that? This seems to have started all the sudden on its own. I click File - Email Link - Yahoo opens. After Yahoo opens, a blank email comes up but instead of the link being in the body of the email where it should be, it's in the Send To (address bar) of the email.
This is obviously wrong, how do I change it?

I have to back up my Address Book daily.
You say that like it's something you shouldn't have to do - I backup mine hourly (with Time Machine), and additionally at least once a day with SuperDuper. ALWAYS have an up-to-date backup of your important data.
As for the missing undo command, yes that is an annoyance and I too wish it were available. It's missing from iTunes too, which has long been a frustration for me.
Having said that, ranting here in the discussion forums will not get you anywhere. Anyone at Apple who can do something to fix the issue isn't reading these forums. If you want to send your bug report in where it will actually be read by someone who can do something about it, you should file it here: http://bugreport.apple.com
You will need to sign up for a (free) ADC membership to use the bug reporter.
EDIT: I should mention that this isn't likely to ever get fixed in Leopard. Apple has discontinued all development for Leopard except for security updates.
