  • Where are the audio files in an iPad mini?

    Hi.
    Where are the audio files in an iPad mini? (iTunes, Garage band...)
                                                                                                                         W.W.

    Thanks Jonathan.
    To be more specific. After you record an audio file with Garageband on the iPad mini where is it stored, to be copied, transfired?

  • Upload audio files and share them for free

    I would like to upload audio files onto ITunes.  I would like to do this at work so that I can share it with whomever wants to listen to them for free.  Is this possible?  If so, how many audio and or visual files can I upload, what would the duration of the video be and would I have copyright to these files?
    Thank you,
    Ashifa

    Unfortunately, LE7 doesn't include what you need, although (pre-Apple) Logic Audio 6 did - the EXS Instrument Editor. Keymap, from Redmatica, is a more robust editor, but it hasn't been released yet (second half of 2005, according to their site).
    I don't know of any others, maybe someone else here does.

  • No audio play through when uploading audio file

    Hello. I have been trying to use GB '08 to upload audio files of recorded interviews. Problem is when I begin uploading, no audio plays so I can't adjust levels, etc. I've tried looking through preferences/other tools for "play through" features but can't find any. It doesn't do me any good to try to upload interviews if I can't hear them to make sure the audio quality is good enough. Can anyone help with this? Thanks!

    Yes, I am importing the audio from an external recording device. I set up a basic track and then hit record but then I can't hear anything except the metronome or the timing clicks. So I have to stop it after a few minutes to check that it has recorded the audio properly - levels OK, etc. And then if the voice levels are too low or some other problem, I have to guess that I'm adjusting the input levels OK, and then I hit record again and repeat the process. I want to be able to hear the audio while I'm recording. That's what I can't seem to fix.

  • Where are the audio files located?

    You know how when your video source is missing, it shows that ! with a yellow triangle around it? Then, when you hover over the !, it shows you where iMovie expected to find the video, and then you can just move the video there and it's fixed. But for audio, it doesn't show you where it is supposed to be located when you hover over the ! in the audio file (music green bar).
    So, where are the music files supposed to be located so that it can find them?
    Thanks!

    To the best of my knowledge, iMovie simply links to the music file from wherever it is located in your system. That could be the iTunes Library, your Desktop, an external drive, or other places. So if you move the music to a different location, I assume that iMovie will lose track of it. iMovie doesn't actually import the music to the project - it's just referencing it (as far as I'm aware).
    If you know the name of the track (or tracks, or artists), try doing a search both within iTunes and on your hard drive using Spotlight. If found, the best solution is probably to drag it again into your project, then do the necessary edits if applicable.
    Note that, in iMovie the music tracks are identified by song name - it's shown at the beginning of the green audio bar. So the songs shouldn't be too difficult to track down. It's just a pain having to re-instate them.

  • Uploading audio files

    I have 3 approx 50 mb audio files of study notes I would like to share with my friends. Does anyone know a free way of doing this? The free sites I found for audio sites are for musician.
    Austin

    Why not get a cheap USB flash drive and just pass it around? 50 mb is a lot to try to upload, store online and let people download, all for free.

  • How can I see previously stored tunes no longer on my computer? Where are iCloud audio files?

    Maybe my question has an answer too "obvious" for me to see it.  But lately I've become aware of tunes that, for one reason or another, are not showing in my iMac's iTunes program. I went to System Preferences and clicked on "iCloud."  Immediately, I saw how to check iCloud for the following files and documents: Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Safari (not sure what this category could be for--seeing what was on the web at some prior point in history?), Photo Stream, Documents & Data, Back to My Mac, Find My Mac.
    In other words, going to iCloud appears to reveal categories for all of your iCloud content EXCEPT your music files.  I know about iTunes Match, and I think I like it, now that I've gotten used to a few of its quirks.  But certainly there are times when the owner of downloaded, commercial audio files (i.e. Tunes) will not have them on his computer.  And certainly there must be a way for me to see what I've previously stored in the Cloud--if only to remind myself of the music I've purchased and have available to me.
    I may be missing something about the whole iCloud concept.  Is there a way for me to see tunes I've previously stored in the iCloud but no longer have on my computer?  (I'm always careful not to delete tunes from my iTunes program unless I see 2 or more identical files appearing on my computer).
    Thanks for any directions to the iCloud musical holdings / archives--or clarification of any misunderstandings.
    Cap
    (I see that I'm currently running OS 10.8.2.  I have only 500 gigs of memory, and my music collection is so larg, I'm almost dependent on being able to access songs in the iCloud.  Next time, I'll certainly pony up for the largest memory Apple offers on an iMac.)

    They are not showing up in Lightroom at all. I already deleted them.
    When I try to import them again into Lightroom it wants to add another 2012 folder to wherever I am trying to insert them and then it does the month/day folder when it already has the month folder it should automatically go into and not be adding a seperate 2012 folder first.
    I can't even get it to do the above right now. Now all it does is it wants to make this seperate 2012 folder with the month/day folders but has little boxes beside each folder showing that there are no images to import. The images do show up on the import screen but they are all darkened and unchecked. When I click the proper folder to import them they come on bright and have little boxes checked, but that lasts for less than a second before it decides they are not new. They are new images, I deleted them all out of Lightroom, and probably missed deleting some through Lightroom but instead deleted them straight from the folder outside of Lightroom. This is what is probably causing me such grief and I have found nothing in my searches to tell me how to correct this. *sigh*

  • Storing Uploaded Audio Files in Your Database

    I have been using the cffile tag to upload files into a
    directory on the server and then writing the details of that file
    into a database, but I would like to now instead of uploading and
    writing the file to a directory, I would like to write that file
    into a field of a database table and then call it out later to
    listen to it or view it.
    Does anyone have any experience with writing a file into a
    database along with it's file details and then code to read it out
    and display the file details and view or listen to the file?
    I'm guessing that I would need a field in the database table
    that is a byte array, data type "image" to hold the file and then
    the other fields would be "type" "varchar" to hold the details of
    the file.
    MySQL or SQL Server are my choices of databases.
    Thank you!
    Tom

    You should have a blob type column (In oracle) to save the
    content ..
    First upload the file to webserver
    <cffile action="upload"
    filefield="form.FileName"
    destination="C:\temp\"
    nameconflict="makeunique" >
    Convert the same to binary
    <cffile
    action = "readbinary"
    file = "C:\temp\#cffile.serverFile#"
    variable="file_blob">
    insert statement
    insert into files (FILE_ID,file_content)
    values (7,
    <cfqueryparam
    value="#file_blob#"
    cfsqltype="cf_sql_blob">
    delete the file from the server
    <cffile
    action="delete"
    file="C:\temp\#cffile.serverFile#">

    It's the first one I happened to get to when I did a search on his blog for: external table.

  • Upload mp3 audio files from imac onto my facebook page?

    This is more of a facebook related query, but can I upload audio files from my imac onto facebook. I only see see options to load photo and video files. Also how does one delete unwanted photos that others have posted on my facebook page?

    Not when that is the answer and poster do not bother to read it
    You DO NOT have an iPhoto issue - you have a third party software issue - and the answer is to contact the software provider - Not really a difficult concept for most people - contact the author for help with their product
