You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. I keep getting asked to install teh latest Adobe Flash player which i already have. Only on Firefox. IE works fine

I currently have Adobe Flash player 11.1.102.55. when i try to play certain media i get a message saying i need to install the latest Flash player. this IS the latest Flash player. IE is OK with it.

Can't Play Video "need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player"

Ever since upgrading to FF 26 I can't play video on YouTube or many other sites.
It says "You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video.
Download it from Adobe."
So I click on the link which takes me to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/, do the install which goes without trouble.
But afterwards I get the same message when I try to play videos.
Running Windows 7 on a Desktop PC. Having NO problems playing videos in IE or Chrome. FF used to be great but it's becoming more trouble than it's worth.

You can try uninstalling it completely via the control panel and then installing it back on to the computer. You can also do a plugin check if you'd like.
Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the [http://mozilla.com/plugincheck Mozilla Plugin Check site].
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions.
If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow ''Update'' button or a red ''Update now'' button, please update these immediately.

My daughter uses an app for homeschooling that needs adobe flash player to run all it's elements. But adobe says flash player cannot be put on the ipad. How can I get around this? Is there another option?

Do you mean app or a website ? Any app in the app store shouldn't need flash player as flash is not supported on the iPad, and probably never will be.

Flash is not, and probably never will be, supported on the iPad : http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/ . Plus Adobe have never managed to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, and they have recently announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it.

Same error message, I disabled tab mix and made sure I only have the newest version of Java, restarted firefox, now it seems to be fine no error yet on Pogo games or pictures upload to ebay which were the biggest problems besides hanging. I had also had disabled AVG secure search yesterday but that did not solve the issue. Now I will try to add back in AVG search...I have very few adds ons, also the note embedded about re- installing a toolbar went away, my old one did not work with FF4, so I installed Yahoo toolbar but the message still did not go away until I applied this fix.
