Which version of iDS for OWB 9.2?

Hi there,
We are trying to download OWB 9.2 from OTN but currently have firewall problems. While we sort those out we are ordering the CDs instead and when we try to order we are told we should get iDS 9.0.4 or 10.1.2. Which of these has OWB 9.2 (specifically 9.2.0.2.8) on??
Cheers, Kate

Actually you want iDS 9.0.2, I believe...

  • Which version of Java for SAP NetWeaver 7.02 in Windows Server 2008

    Hi ,
I want to install SAP NetWeaver 7.02 (not SP6) in Windows Server 2008 R2 x64, but I don't know which version of Java I should install first, I have downloaded the following four types of Java:
    j2eesdk-1_4_02_2005Q1
    j2sdk-1_4_2_09_windows_i586
    j2re-1_4_2_19-windows-i586-p
    j2sdk-1_4_2_19-windows-i586-p
But, I don't know which type I should choose to install first.
        Thanks for help!

    Hi Cathal,
        Thanks for your help!
But the document of SAP installation says:
If you start sapinst the first time, you will be logged off your operating system and afterwards prompted for the installation directory of JRE 1.4.latest or 1.5.0_22 (tested).
Do not use 1.6.x! The installation will start, but not finish.
JRE 1.4.latest or 1.5.0_22 (tested): it means I should install j2re-1_4_2_19-windows-i586-p, is it right?

  • Which version of OCCI for Oracle XE 10.2?

    Hi,
I have Oracle XE, Linux version 10.2.0.1 installed. I want to connect my C++ application running on the same machine as the database.
I've seen lots of dire warnings about the importance of making sure that the right versions are installed, but after trawling through the (frankly confusing) documentation I can't for the life of me work out which version of the OCCI I'm supposed to use to connect to this version of the database. Can somebody please tell me?
Also, as I want to run this application on the same machine as the database, can I use some of the libraries that are installed with Oracle 10g, rather than having to install them separately?
    Thanks,
    L.

    Hi,
The key parts where the version is truly important when using OCCI are:
    - the compiler (and runtime libraries)
    - the OCCI libraries
    - the Oracle Client version
Under Linux the OCCI version 10.2 libraries are compatible with gcc (g++) 3.4.3 through 4.1.x versions so you should be OK with that part.
When using Express Edition on Linux and having everything on the same machine you automatically have a "match" between the Oracle Client and OCCI libraries (since they are all under the one and only Oracle Home).
On my Express Edition test machine I have the following version of gcc and I have not had any issues (so far!) with OCCI and the database installed "as is":
    [oracle@oel02 ~]$ g++ --version
    g++ (GCC) 3.4.6 20060404 (Red Hat 3.4.6-3.1)

  • Windows 7 - which version to buy for Premiere Pro 5.5?

Ive had a quick scout about but I cant seem to find a definitive answer to the question of which version of 64 bit Windows 7 is the best option for Premiere Pro? I didnt want to waste money by purchasing Ultimate only to 'tune' out most of the services - ala black viper's 'barebones' setup, to get the best from my limited hardware setup
I am bulding the following simple system for a Non internet connected workstation for exclusive SD editing purposes, amd 64, 8Gb, GTX550 TI, 160 Gb Velociraptor primary drive, 2 Tb Assets drive and a 1 Tb output drive. I will be running production premium.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers guys, Les

Win7 Home Premium is enough, but if you ever consider upping memory beyond 16 GB or using network services for a home network or backing up to a NAS, then you are better off with Win7 Pro. The price difference is small, so Pro looks like the better, more future proof option.

  • Which version of Safari for old old xp on Windows 7 Professional Virtual Machine?

    Ok, ready for a challenge?
I've had the "competition" (yes a PC) for two years now.
SONY i5 Laptop V111 model series (more details if you need it) running WIndows 7 Professional Edition.
On the Main Desktop, Windows 7 Professional Edition is running the latest Safari as I prefer it as mostly have Macs but Work (College) runs in a PC mindset.
Now I have this XP Virtual Machine Desktop and have never been able to do much with it.
Finally found out why, it had no interconnection to the Internet, so now it has it through IE 8 (again sorry) but that successful installation today  opened up the two year old question that I no longer have the store (Sony Style store closed here) to help me with answers.
Can I get a Safari for the  XP Virtual Machine Desktop?  It appears to be a 32-Bit version (despite the WIndows 7 Professional being the 64-bit version).
All I see is Safari for Mountain Lion.  Maybe as I am not able to search properly from the PC, the  Apple pages as I have on my Mac my home page is the Apple store and communities for questions/help.  Where is the "older" Safari's  hiding out?
Or maybe I don't need such an old version of Safari, as I can't find out which Safari works for my PC as whenever I go in it says my Mac version and I can't hide that since I'm using the Mac to access this Forum!
Please write if you are confused as I am and I'll find whatever information you need.
    Thanks everyone!

    Hi Cooljoe,
Based on my understanding, local machine control-alt-delete key combination is control-alt-delete.
Virtual PC's control-alt-delete key combination is Right Alt - Delete.
Remote Destop session's control-alt-delete key combination is ctrl + alt +
    end.
There should be no conflicts between them.

  • Which version to download for Ubuntu 14.04

    Hi,
I am running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) since June 2014. I want to use skype on it but do not find any download for 14.04. The latest on ubuntu, I find is for precise (12.04) which was released around 2012.
Should I go with the Dynamic version?
If yes, how do I install it? - I didnot find any more than the following in the README:
"If you are using the dynamic and statically linked generic versions, you
will need to choose a path for Skype to exist in. We recommend copying the
Skype binary to /usr/bin and installing sounds/, lang/ and avatars/ into
    the /usr/share/skype directory."

Install the 64-bit version which is automatically selected when going to apple.com/iTunes/download

  • Which version of Windows for autocad 2010

I just switched to mac from being a lifelong PC user. I will still need windows to run autocad and accurender to create 3-D renderings for interior design. I have been reluctant to use newer windows os and was using windows xp 64 (which is a little obscure). Wondering if anyone has any success stories or recommendation as to which windows version would work well with autocad 2010. also does anyone have success running accurender? How much of HD will I need to partition? Lastly, seems like some people had no trouble setting up bootcamp, while others had none. I really don't have the expertise or time to mess around. Anyone recommend places like tekserve?

  • Which version of windows for new 09 white macbook?

    Hi all-
I just bought the new 09- 13" white macbook. My wife needs some really basic MS office stuff- just word and excel- for her work so we're looking at buying some version of windows or office or something. I know with Bootcamp we can use windows, but I only want/need the most stripped down version I can get away with and still have word and excel.
What should I buy? I see Windows XP for under $100. Office for mac is more expensive. Again- just really need word and excel, so any opinions?
    Thanks!
    -Danny

For my 2 cents, Office for Mac is the "pits". Most of the reviews give the program high ratings, but my rant with the program is that the "learning curve" is more than I want deal with. I bought the program and every time I open it up, I have to hunt for menu items that I can find in a flash with the Windows version. The Word program is not as bad as the Excel program (which I find almost unusable). If you're going this route, I would strongly advise checking it out before shelling out cash. The Excel program definitely ***** IF you're transferring files back and forth from Windows.
After my experience, I went with Parallels 4.0 (virtual machine) and loaded Vista Home Premium. It runs fine, but I probably should have gone with XP. I'm running my '03 Office there and it works fine.
If you're willing to take on this learning curve with Windows for Mac, that's probably one of the cheapest ways to go. I think the Home version is around $75.

  • Which version is good for me to buy? Logic 8 express or Logic studio?

As I said in another post, I did till now all my work in Garageband. I compose mainly classical music for all kind of instruments, I don't do anything with electronic music, nor do I write pop kind of music. What I did in Garageband was setting up my tracks for the orchestra instruments, or solo piano, or chamber instruments, give them a pan position according to the Jam pack orchestra manual, and added at the end of the recording some reverb. The result is mostly good enough but especially for bigger instrumental groups, like orchestra or strings, I am not happy with the result.
This is the reason I am looking around in the Logic 8 world. I want to have better results. My question now is should I buy Logic Studio or Logic 8 express?
What is the difference between the two except the extra jam packs? I already have the Orchestra and voices jam pack and have many orchestral sound fonts that I bought in the past.
Mainstage is meant to be used for stage performence, right? I will never use something like that if it is, or maybe I didn't understand yet what Mainstage is about.
Studio effects: Logic 8 express does also have reverb effect, but are they good enough to make a good classical orchestral recording? Or do I need Studio for this?
Soundtrack Pro 2: A wave editor. This maybe I could use although I never felt the need for this in Garageband. Still, you never know.
SO what do I miss exactly when buying the express version?
Hope to get some advice on this.
    Andr+e

Continue to use GarageBand until some new update for Logic Pro is released because upon opening your GarageBand 09 v5.0.1 projects into Logic Pro 8.0.2 you will receive the message, "Warning! This Project was created by a newer Logic Pro version. This may cause problems. Please update Logic Pro." After I hit "OK", a message says, "Logic Pro: Plug-in “Pedals” not available!, and then "Logic Pro: Plug-in “AmpSim2” not available!
Logic Pro is not for sampling right now because of my experience using it with my Mac Pro (Early 2008) 8 Core 3.2GHz, 32 Gig RAM, and Quadro FX 5600. I told the Apple store sales guy at the Apple Store that I needed comparable hardware and software for my new Mac Pro comparable to my Tascam GigaSampler PC workstation. He also had me get advice from the top trainer for Apple Logic Pro One to One training at their store. I made it clear my needs were to have the same capabilities and performance at that time that are possible with Tascam GigaSampler. The trainer said he sold his PC he used for sampling. So, in order to afford my Mac Pro, I sold my PC. Big mistake. Now I have not been able to continue working on many projects, now in the in-progress archive of mine, that I can not open anymore because Logic will not access even 3 Gigs of memory for projects with the EXS24 or any other sampler for that matter. With my Tascam Gigasampler accessing 16 Gigs was a breeze with no error messages. This enhancement will not be available until some update is released for Logic Pro above version 8.0.2.

  • Which version of sharepoint for OneNote sharing

We are starting to use OneNote for consultants, and we're thinking about savings the OneNote workbooks onto a server.  While consultants are at client sites they need access to selected workbooks, so we thought of using Offline files (for Windows laptops),
but that doesn't help with Android tablets.  As well, I think I read in the docs that offline files are NOT recommended for this purpose.
I would like to experiment with sharepoint to hold the docs and sync them with tablets/laptops.  I would like to do a pilot with a handful of users, but I'm wondering if I need to buy a SharePoint license?  I believe there is a free version of
sharepoint - will this support the syncing of OneNote files or do I have to buy a license?

Sadly MS have re-used terms and left the 'cloud vs premises' story very hard to understand here, most people get horribly confused by it. The most common situation is to use the OneDrive for Business application to sync to 'OneDrive' in the cloud.
However, OneDrive for business can sync to non-cloud SharePoint, where it's still called OneDrive. It's confirmed here:
    https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/What-is-OneDrive-for-Business-187f90af-056f-47c0-9656-cc0ddca7fdc2
"If you’re using Office 365, you get 1 TB of space in the cloud for OneDrive for Business. If your OneDrive for Business library is hosted on a SharePoint server in your organization, your organization’s administrators determine how much storage space
    is available."

  • Which version of windows for parallels desktop

I have resisted for many years, but it looks like I am going to have to partition a mac mini to run parallels desktop so that my medical office can run Medicare Remit Easy Print (Windows only) software in my all Mac office.
What is the cheapest version of Windows that will work for this?
    Thanks.

Check with the provider/developer of Medicare Remit Easy to see what version of Windows is required.
Also, you said you had to partition a "mac" to run Parallels. You do not partition to run Parallels. You install Parallels the install Windows in Parallels.

  • Which version of DB for OEM Grid 12c is stable?

    Hello friends.
My intention is to set up a new OEM Grid 12C OMS installation.
This will be for a relatively small number of databases, approx. 40 or 50, mixture of production and test/dev.
I intend on having the OEM repository database on the same server (or VM) as the OMS software.
I've done it this way in the past and it works fine without any resource contention (regardless what Oracle recommends).
The question I have is if I set up the OMS 12c, what is the latest and most stable (recommended) version of database to use for the OEM repository database.
My initial thoughts were to use 11.2.0.4 EE, because I'm not crazy about using the first version of an Oracle database release (i.e., 12.1).
In the past, for every version I can remember going back to v.6, the second release resolved all the major issues with the first release, and also included new features that didn't make it into the first release.
My installation will be on a VM running Redhat Linux 6.4.
    Thank you in advance...
I've found the OEM forum and moved this message to the OEM forum.

If your OMS is installed on a host that is protected by a firewall and the Management Agents that provide management data are on the other side of the firewall, you must perform the following tasks:
Configure the OMS to use a proxy server for its communications to the Management Agents.
Configure the firewall to allow incoming HTTP traffic from the Management Agents on the Management Repository upload port.
Check this documentation link below, it will help you. " Configuring EM for firewalls"
