Can anyone tell me which version of SAP was EC-CS introduced? Was it 4.6C or later?

I am not sure of actual version, but referring to help in SAP we can conclude the it existed as of Release 4.0b, of course with not the full functionality as of today.

Hi Experts,
We are using SAP 4.6C. I am not able to find BADIs for VA21. My question is know when were BADIs introduced. I think they were introduced in 4.6c but many additional functionality was added in 4.7.
Can anyone through some light in this regard.

in general BADI's were introduced (i think ) in Rel.4.7. .
But specially in the SD - Area there are no usable BADI's even in ERP2004 - the BADI's which are existing there are 'Only for SAP-useage'. So it takes a while to get off the old form-routines
'USEREXIT...'.

Please let me know that Idoc PEXR2002 is supported from which version of SAP. Is it supported by 4.7. If not than what is a corresponding Idoc in 4.7.

Which exe in SAP WAS 6.40 i need to execute to start J2EE engine

I am working on SAP WAS 6.40 SP9,
I need to start the J2EE not from the mmc (I know how to start the J2EE from MMC))but by invoking exe's.I was able to figure out that I need to invoke
C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\os_libs\jcontrol.exe
with argument as
pf=C:\usr\sap\J2E\SYS\profile\J2E_JC00_[your_machine]
but when I execute the same on te command prompt the exe runs but when I use IE browser with URL "http://[your_machine]:50000/index.html" I dont get to see the index page
My work involves runing the SAP WAS 6.40 j2ee engine using ANT.I have to use ant tags to start,create deployment descriptors and deploy the ear.
I would be grateful If one can help me out

I saw the http://help.sap.com/ site and there it has been mentioned that :
The following processes must be running for the simplest installation (one dispatcher, one server):
Message Server ( msg_server or msg_server.exe)
Enqueue Server ( enserver or enserver.exe)
Dispatcher and server process (two jlaunch.exe)
Software Deployment Manager (SDM, jlaunch.exe)
Also when I see the developer trace file for jcontrol.exe It actually invokes Jlaunch.exe internally
based on the above stacktrace will you be able to suggest me what might have went wrong
Actually I am trying to find out which all exe file files should be executed in what order so as to start the SAp J2EE engine so that I can deploy some applications on it

SAP WAS Developer version?

I am interested in obtaining a version of SAP WAS 6.4 in order to develop/test the integration of SAP WAS with my middleware application. That is, I am not going to build an SAP WAS application itself; rather I have developed middleware that can run with various Web Servers, and I'd like to integrate SAP's WAS into it as well.
Is there a development licensing scheme, or partnership opportunity that would make this feasible?

I should add an application server to central XI. But I do not know which version of SAP netweawer to use in order to install (and which options...)
I know that used version is not newest (we are not using PI but XI so e.g we have (Integration Builder:Configuration and Integration Builder:Design).

No VI viewer as far as I know... To know the version of LV used... hummm... ... Do you have any idea if it's close to LV2 or LV8 ?
There might be some tricks but I would try open with LV5, then LV6 and so on starting from the oldest version you have.
When you know the first digit (e.g. LV7) I have no idea of how to find out if ti was LV7.0 or 7.1 or 7.1.1....
I often have to switch form a version to another when I maintain old apps so I always put that kind of info in the "documentation" of my VI...

how can i find that which version of SAP like 4.7 or 5.0 or 6.0 etc is used for any client?
i know one method that from easy access screen go to system tab and then to status.but sometimes in version field i found only "SAP R/3 enterprise" and no versionis mentioned.
so which is the fullproof method?

In case of 4.7 only it will show as SAP R/3 Enterprise......
Rest other systems; it will give u the versions i.e. it may be 4.6C or SAP ECC 6.0 or whatever......

It is installing upto 91% and giving the following errors:

Restart the install and search this forum for "MiniWAS", "Mini Was", "620 install" and you'll find half a dozen people who had the same problem.

i think BW has no dependency with the version of R/3. you can use any of the newer BW versions with any r/3 versions ,but needs to take care of version of BW service API in R3.
Posting the same question in 2 forums is not a good idea because we are same in both the forums.

RDF - Which version was it created in?

Is there any way of telling which version of report builder a particular RDF was created in?
I am using 6i Reports and when I open a particular module, I get the 'REP-20129' error (Warning: Opening a report saved with a newer version of Report Builder. Functionality may be lost. Continue?).

    But the document of SAP installation says:
If you start sapinst the first time, you will be logged off your operating system and afterwards prompted for the installation directory of JRE 1.4.latest or 1.5.0_22 (tested).
Do not use 1.6.x! The installation will start, but not finish.
JRE 1.4.latest or 1.5.0_22 (tested): it means I should install j2re-1_4_2_19-windows-i586-p, is it right?
