Well JOptionPane.showOptionDialog returns an int.

I have a big problem with an applet:
I�ve make an applet that sends files to a FTP Server with a progress bar.
Its works fine on my IDE (JBuilder 9), but when I load into Internet Explorer (signed applet) it crash. The applet seems like blocked: it show the screen of java loading and dont show the progress bar, but it send the archives to the FTP server while shows the java loading screen.
I will pay with a domain or with paypal to anyone who can help me with this problematic applet. I will give my code and the goal is only repair the applet. Only that.

harmmeijer: the applet is signed ok, I dont think that is the problem...
itchyscratchy: the server calls are made from start() method. The applet is crashed during its sending files to FTP server, when finish, the applet look ok.

(I test too with apache commons-net, and the same effect...)
The ftp is Filezilla in localhost.

The start() method calls iniciar() method where its is defined the array of files to upload, and connect to ftp server. The for loop on every element of array and uploads a file on subirFichero() method.

I have a report from WhatisHang which (in theory) tells my why my firefox constantly hangs up. But I need someone who can help figure this out.

I hope this section will work, i couldnt find a place for Hang ups, and this problem doesnt usually cause a full crash, which is why it was hard to figure it out.
I finally used the program WhatisHang to try to get an idea of what is causing the seemingly random hanging, but have been unable to find anyone who can help me with it.
I have posted the Troubleshooting Information, though i dont think it would be of much help.
I have the report available but dont know where i can post it.

I must admit I seem possibly to be suffering from hangs also, although as I am often not in a hurry when using firefox on this machine it has little impact. I am using a legacy computer and tend to blame this on the computer or maybe background tasks such as from security software or indexing.

Have you tried to rule out
* background tasks are the problem, (at least monitor what else is running using Task Manager or sysinternals process explorer)

* any other interacting programs or plugins (some may not be listed in firefox, you may need to check / uninstall from the OS {Windows Control Panel})
**it may also be an idea to check hangs still occur when WhatIsHangs is not in use.
* have you tried logging the cc & gc times in the error console, (if for instance you see times in 1000s of milliseconds appearing you may have then identified one reason for firefox being unresponsive, even if the cause is not yet identified. - a symptom the memshrink firefox developers will no doubt be eager to investigate)
* if you can get hangs in safe mode, on at least the Aurora channel releases I suggest you immediately go ahead and file a bug yourself. (I will try to find time if not today then next weekend to look more closely at my own system to see if it is showing hangs in firefox use)

** As you have changed preferences, I suggest you include as a attachment in the bug your list of user modified preferences (use ''about:support'' or Troubleshooting Information option)

I will try to find and download a copy of WhatIsHang, see if it works on my system and what results it then shows.
I realise I have not said anything terribly helpful I solving your problem, but I suspect you are not alone in having hangs, if you are able to spare the time to investigate and report I am sure it will help others.
Firefox has had a few problems recently that would have been solved sooner if they were investigated when first reported, but unfortunatly an advantage of firefox is how easy it is to customise, but the downside is differentiating between a firefox fault and customisation problems.

Hi...I've been reading the forum for days and have been finding information in small bits and pieces...but I need someone who can help me put it all together. Basically, we are trying to move our mail server in-house. We have a better than T1 connection, I just need SOMEONE who can tell me exactly what we need to do to set up mail service on osx server 10.4.8 to work for us. Any takers?
I have enough knowledge to set up our web and file sharing services (very easy, no brainer stuff), but really I'm lost on the Mail Service setup.

0.1. You must have a domain name pointing to your public IP
0.2. Your router (if you have one) must forward smtp, pop, and imap ports to the private IP adress of the sever
Server Admin
1. You must have DNS enable with your domain name configured. I presume that you know to.
2. Setup your mail service
in General
2.1. Activate POP
2.2. Acivate Imap (if you need)
2.3. Activate SMTP
2.4. Accept incoming mail
2.5. Retain outgoing mail
in filter
2.6. Set up as you need
in advanced->security
2.7. Set up aurhentifaction for smtp and pop.(important for smtp because you can be a spam relay)
in advanced->Hosting
2.8. add your domain name in localhost window
Users admin
3. Go to your users account (mail tab)
3.1 Activate mail
3.2 Choose receipt method.
I've followed this procedure 5 or 6 times and it's working fine every time.
Be carefull. In 10.4.8, something change in Imap service and the send of messages dont work. There is a little corrective to apply (a line to change in a config file but I do not remember what)

Looking into the stack trace, this seems to be related to mylyn plugin. Try to remove it (remove it from the plugins dir and restart eclipse) and see if this is still happening

You would know for a fact if the device is in use, but if you go back to the find my iPhone app in iCloud.com, you can either select to erase it, or place it in lost mode, in which case, once the device makes a connection to the internet, it will automatically go into that mode.

You could repartition your drive to have a different OS X with the older iTunes there, and the newer iTunes on the existing partition. Back up everything beforehand. See Kappy's advice in this thread. Partitioning my Hard Drive

If you are having trouble creating the aglets, you should make sure you're doing it correctly in the first place.
Make sure you open Thaiti and can create the aglet in there. Then once you have one aglet, that aglet should use it's AgletContext to create a new aglet. Don't use the static creator method. So you would use Tahiti to load "MyAgent", which would immediately spawn another aglet.

I believe that Lion and Mountian Lion use BootCamp 4.0 and earlier versions used 3.0. I don't use BootCamp but from reading The link below you need to get new drivers, burn a cd and install. Check out #20 on this page.

First of all, I would have to say that getting in touch with you is a nightmare and I am not at all happy that I can't just email or live chat with someone who can help! I am not a technical person, I just want to be able to use Photoshop Elements and get on with it. I bought Photoshop Elements via Amazon some months ago and it worked fine. I then got a message that advised that the trial version would expire, which it subsequently has (I have been trawling your site for weeks and weeks trying to find an email or phone contact to get some assistance). Relucltantly, I am now typing this - and I suspect it will not help in the slightest! I bought the FULL not TRIAL edition of Photoshop Elements and I have contacted Amazon who confirmed this, but say I need to contact you. Can you please let me know how I can resolve this? You need to contact Adobe directly for activation and licencing issues. Click the link below. Use the dropdown menu for boxes (1) & (2) to scroll down the list and choose:
1. Adobe Photoshop Elements
2. Adobe ID, and signing-in
3. Click on the blue button: Still need help? Contact us – then click the area marked chat 24/7, then click “start chat ”
It’s usually possible to start a live chat, if an Adobe agent is free, and often to get the problem fixed right away. Have your serial number available. The agent can directly troubleshoot your system if you agree to activate the Adobe Connect add-on. Don’t let them pass the buck. Stay connected and ask to speak with a supervisor if necessary.

My Canon Pixma MP 540 does not scan any longer after update mountain lion. MP Navigator EX 2.0 starts and immediatley stops and comes with this message:

*** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[NSImageCell loadingState]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x825c0f0'
Printer works normally. Who can help.
