Who modified the package?

Hi friends,
In our database, a package body has been recompiled by someone recently. How to identify from which system it was compiled?
We use Oracle 11.2.

You can determine when it was done.
DBMS_LOGMNR might reveal which local schema did the compile.
Determining which remote system/user requires more in depth investigation.

Try the following way
-->goto se16 Enter the table CDHDR and press enter
--> Enter "KUNHIER" in Change doc Obj.. and
Enter the date range in Date field.
YOu should get some items in the table.
( If there are no items, that means. no change was happened to the Customer Hierarchy structure or the changes were not being store. )
--> If you want more details refer to CDPOS too..

How to modify the Package

Hi,
I have package created by user A (owner), I want to modify the package with user B, How can I do this ?
When I modify and compile, it is storing in my user b Schema, not in the User A schema...
Please help.

Even though I am totally aware of the risk involved with granting any of the "ANY" privs to users, I actually have a business directive to do just that.
Instead of signing on as the generic package owner of code in order to alter and create it, we've been asked that we have to have each person sign on with the ability to alter another person's code (but only that other person's set of code).
I stressed to uppers that the only way to accomplish that is to grant some of the "ANY" privs and risks involved. They seemed to be ambivalent about the "risk even though I think it is large" because it satifies a security audit.
Am I crazy? As far I can tell there isn't a way around granting some of the "ANY" privs in order to accomplish the agenda. Has there been any new breakthough's with 10g or 11g that I don't know about?

Task name while modifying the packages

From where can I find all the task name , that I can enter into the "Task Name" while modifying the package.
Is there any such givin task list or how do we come to know that which task has to be used in proper place.

Actually... I am not looking for any package. I want to modify the given package or create a new one. So for that... when we modify the package... then we can give either info, prompt or task. On the left side... only prompt and info are given. For task there is option for task only ... but what should be the value inside that task .i.e "task name" and its use.
My doubt is about the task. I dont know which all task I can give and what is the use of those task.

I think you need to look into these fiels
CREDAT Create date
CRETIM Creation time
otherwise check any change documents available for this table in CDHDR or CDPOS
and find this table is NOT buffered so you will not find records from DBTABLOG

Shortcuts tab is missing when edit/modify the package

Hi,
1. at the end of package creation (before saving) I modified a shortcut icon and changed the icon name under Shortcuts tab
2. deployed the package. Got the correct icon but the original app name, not a changed one.
I thought that may be forgot change the name and decided to edit the package in order to verify and change (if necessary) the name of the shortcut.
When edited I don't see the Shortcut tab at all.
Sure I will try to resequence the app but would like to know what may cause Shortcut tab disappearance.

You Need to perform the step "Update Application in Existing Package" as the description said "Use this Option to edit shortcuts or FTA's of an existing package".
You can also edit the shortcuts via the UserConfig.xml

you can check the infosource status, menu - extras - infosource status. there you will find info abt the comm and transfer structure, active and modified version, last changed, date, time etc. I dont think it would work if the structure has been changed after the structure has been changed with the formulas.

Who was the user that modified an Analysis

I´m using obiee 11g v 11.1.1.5.0 on Oracle Linux 5
I have 2 users for my example, user1 and user2 (both BIAdministrator Role)
user1 creates an Analysis with 2 colums: 1 from dim_table, 1 from fact_table (user1 saves as Analysis_name_X in SharedFolder_X).
user2 opens and modify the same Analysis_name_X from SharedFolder_X (adding a new dim_column and just save the Analysis_name_X).
so... in catalog says:
SharedFolder_X
Analysis_name_X | Last Modified Time DD/MM/YYYY HH24::MIN:SS | Created by user1
My question is: "How to know, who was the user who modified the Analysis_name_X" (in this case user2)
I search in Catalog Manager
columns availables:
Created Time, Last Accessed Time, Last Modified Time, Owner
but no something like: Last Modified User
Also with user weblogic searching in all folders (activating Administrator view) without success.

Pragma associated with the package BOMPCFGI

Hi All,
Oracle standard functionality creates the standard star part number with default sequence number appended
But our Client requires the Star Part Number to be customised.As a result Oracle configurator is going to be implemented for Compression Product line.
Inorder to do the technical changes for the same, I have to modify the package BOMPCFGI . It has a function called user_item_number
As per the requirement, I need to call another function CTO_CUSTOM_CONFIG_NUMBER.user_item_number from the function BOMPCFGI.user_item_number
But I'm not able to do it as there is a PRAGMA associated with the package BOMPCFGI which is as follows:
PRAGMA RESTRICT_REFERENCES(user_item_number, WNDS);
Please advise whether I can comment it or do I need to raise an SR with Oracle for the same.

         I am fine.
         Actually I can see the Maintenance Packages of the tasklist by navigating through Maintenance Order but my problem is I want to Print (create shop paper) the operation and the Maintenance package associated with the operation. Also when I check the operations in the tasklist there are 250 to 300 opertions with different frequency so it is difficult to find.
        Is there any solution whatever the operations copied in the Maintenance Order from the tasklist I can see the MAintenance Package.

Trace to find who out who has deleted / modified the attendance record

Dear All
Some one has deleted the attendence record of a particular user of previous month , so how i can track who has deleted / modified the same in salary slip it is showing 1 leave record for the same month, but while checking throught pa30 there is no record shown for the same . can you please tell me how to trace that and which tables are updated once we update the attendence and while processing the salary slip , from which table it picks the leave availaed data .

You have to activate the audit Trail.
RPUAUD00 isthe program to see the changes in infotypes records, but before that you have to configure T585A, T585B, T585C

The person who creates a Package is able to create EEWB project

The person who creates a package is only able to create a EEWB project with that package. Using someone else's package is throwing error. Is this the standard behaviour of EEWB. Or is there a break through.

I created a package in the CRM 7 system. I am able to assign my projects in EEWB to the package I created. But when someone else tries to assign their project to the package I created it says "You are not authorised to make changes. Authorisation object".
And then if he makes some changes to the package , I mean he re-states the descripotion,then he is able to use the package, but then I am unable to make changes. This functionality looks weird. Can you suggest a work around??

The package name in the java files are modified

Hey All,
After creating a Portal Web Project, I imported the existing web applications to Weblogic Workshop. Then I found that the package names in the Java source codes are modified. The <folder name>. is added to the existing package name.
For example,
package com.symphonia.script.engine;
is changed into
package ScriptingEngine.com.symphonia.script.engine;
because ScriptingEngine is the folder name.
The package name of some other Java codes are doubled.
For example,
package symphonia.util;
is changed into
package syms-util.com.symphonia.util;
Are there any ways to avoid this package rewriting when importing web applications to the Workshop?

To avoid path modifications add all 'base' paths(paths form which you will store the source code) to 'source paths' to Tools-->Project Properties-->Selected-project
Then you add files/directories to one of the source-paths.
They should not have any package modifications.

How to modify the Procedure which exists in Package individually?

Hi,
I need to modify the procedure which exists in package individually. I.e. I don't want to recompile the entire package.
This task to be done in SQL Plus not in TOAD. Because in TOAD, we can directly place the script and recompile using the option.
Do we have any syntax to modify the procedure which exists in package?
[Like..... create or replace schema.packagename.procudrename....etc...?]

Explain the reason why this would make any sense. Convenience. I wouldn't mind this option either.
1) Currently, i am working on a PACKAGE which has
over 2k lines. In general, changes are made in a
single PROCEDURE only. I then copy the code (from
notepad) and paste it into SQL*Plus. This takes a few
seconds. If i could just ALTER the one PROCEDURE, it
would save time. (The little adds up to a lot during
testing.)
2) If two developers want to modify the two parts of
the same PACKAGE they would have to rename the
PACKAGE so one's changes do not overwrite the other.
Allowing to change the particular PROCEDURE inside
the PACKAGE would obviate this need.
3) If PACKAGES are to be stored in a versioning
system, it might be convenient to store each
PROCEDURE separately, instead of storing the entire
PACKAGE as one file.
It is certainly not required, but it would be a nice
convenience. That is why it would make sense.OK, then why did you chose to make packages? You do realize you can make stand alone procedures / functions outside of packages don't you?
I can see how 2 seconds of waiting for a package to compile could set your testing back by weeks (warning, being highly sarcastic).
