The package name in the java files are modified

Hey All,
After creating a Portal Web Project, I imported the existing web applications to Weblogic Workshop. Then I found that the package names in the Java source codes are modified. The <folder name>. is added to the existing package name.
For example,
package com.symphonia.script.engine;
is changed into
package ScriptingEngine.com.symphonia.script.engine;
because ScriptingEngine is the folder name.
The package name of some other Java codes are doubled.
For example,
package symphonia.util;
is changed into
package syms-util.com.symphonia.util;
Are there any ways to avoid this package rewriting when importing web applications to the Workshop?
Thanks!
Jeff

To avoid path modifications add all 'base' paths(paths form which you will store the source code) to 'source paths' to Tools-->Project Properties-->Selected-project
Then you add files/directories to one of the source-paths.
They should not have any package modifications.
HTH,
Raj

    ArrayList list = client.getFlight(arr, des, FDat, TDat, type, clas, adult, child);
    Iterator it = list.iterator();

  • Confuse..where are the java files(bean) related to JSP in Portal??

    Hi..
    Can anybody plz help me..
I already deploy the new JPDK Jan 2003.
It's works fine in the Portal.
Just, i don't understand, where they put the java files(bean) related?
    For example..the Lottery (lotto.jsp)
    it called this bean..
    "<jsp:usebean id = "picker" class = "oracle.portal.sample.devguide.lottery.LottoPicker" scope = "page" />"
but, when i searched in the Server, i cannot find this LottoPicker.java.....
Pls help me, it is urgent..

    Hi,
All the bean files are in samplev2.jar at %OC4J_HOME%/j2ee/home/applications/jpdk/jpdk/WEB-INF/lib. If you extract the zip you will see all the class files for samples in JPDK.
btw, as per J2EE container specification, the default location for any java class file (i.e. '.class' files) is WEB-INF/lib (packaged as a jar) or inside WEB-INF/classes as individial class files (with their complete package structure)

  • Where are all the .java files????

I placed a few of Oracle's demo JAR and fmb/fmx files on my server to test a couple of things, and they are working fine. (I moved them over to the server by copying the JAR file off my local machine and pasting then into the forms90/java folder on my server. Then I copy and pasted the fmx and fmb files over and created a [this_demo] profile for each one I was using. I also added the .jar to the formsweb.cfg)
    Anyways.....
I would like to look at the actual code for one of these demos, but can't find the .java file anywhere. It's not in the JAR file. All that is in the JAR file is META-INF and oracle/forms/demos/enhancedItems2/.class(es) files.
I also downloaded sun's juggling duke JAR file(s) -juggler.jar and methodtracer.jar. I created a test form and got Duke to juggle just fine, but I would like to take a look at the .java code. Where should that be???
    Thanks in advance

An error occured when trying to open the file for reading. Filename: ".\jad\tmp\MOLine.java"
    Current Working Directory: C:\Program Files\Cavaj Java Decompiler\
System error message: The system cannot find the file specified.
C++ exception: ios: failbit setDo you get the same error if you use a directory name which has no space in name?
Question is, when I am trying to decompile MOLine.class to produce MOLine.java, why is it looking for MOLine.java? Most probably because you cannot decompile the class file (I believe if it was possible, Oracle would have provided the java file).
    Thanks,
    Hussein

  • Where are the .java files compiled from .jsp files stored?

              hi,
I'm new to weblogic server. When I use Tomcat as the jsp server, it compiles .jsp
files to .java files and then .class files. So when an error reported I can track
              it in the .java file.
But what should I do with weblogic? It only saves the .class files in the work
dir. Or is there a better way to trace errors in jsp files?
              Thanks!

This should give you the information you need to set the keepgenerated flag:
              http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs60/jsp/admin.html#53346
Also, the .java files will be right next to the .class files with are under
a tmp directory in the /WEB-INF directory under the WEB-INF if it is an open
              directory or in the
              config/mydomain/applications/.wl_temp_do_note_delete/WEB-INF directory if it
              is .war file.

I suspect you are trying to compile the files one by one. You may also be trying to compile them disregarding the package structure.
From your post, I gather these files are in the package: com.geindustrial.sqms
Therefore, if they are not so already, put them under a directory structure:
    com/geindustrial/sqms
    and then compile with:
    javac com/geindustrial/sqms/AddCtq.java com/geindustrial/sqms/Ctq.java com/geindustrial/sqms/VariableData.java
(The above is all on one line.)

  • Question about the java files which created by Web Dynpro

After I create a new project under Web Dynpro, there is no any java file is generated.
Now I create a new application in the project with the following names:
    application name: QuizApp
    package name: com.sap.tc.webdynpro.tutorials.quiz
    component name: QuizComp
    window name: Quiz
    view name: WelcomeView.
Now, 5 java files are generated under the package:
    QuizComp.java,
    WelcomeView.java,
    QuizCompInterface.java,
    QuizInterfaceView.java
    QuizCompInterfaceCfg.java
Can someone tell me what do these file mean? For what purpose?

    1)QuizComp.java -
this is the source file for whatever you code inside the Component Controller ,
    2)WelcomeView.java -
you get one java file for each view you create,
    3)QuizCompInterface.java -
represents the public "face" of your component. If this webdynpro DC is used by another DC, the other DC can only "see" the methods present in this java class
    4)QuizInterfaceView.java    -
this is to represent your view assembly (window and any views as part of it) when you want to embed UI of this DC in another DC
    5)QuizCompInterfaceCfg.java -
    (advanced concept)
P.S: A java file is created for each Custom controller you create also. And many other classes get created too (which probably you dont need to bother about) but they require for WebDynpro concept to function properly i.e a framework
    Hope that clears things.

  • Compiling the java file related to Servlet and Core java files in heirarchy

I am working in Jakarta-Tomcat 4.0.4 with j2sdk1.4.1_01 and i have put all servlet files in package "com.java.servlet"
and other core java files in package "com.java.action" . Also I am imorting java files in package
    "com.java.action" to the package "com.java.servlet".
But when I am compiling the servlet files in package "com.java.servlet"
then the servlet files are not compiling because it cannot able to import
java files in package "com.java.action" . I have tried all the options.
If anybody has solution then please respond immediately.

I agree with the previous poster, this sounds like a generic compiling problem. FYI: I do not think that packages that start with "com.java." are special or reserved in any way.
You are making a servlet, not a JSP, right? Since this is merely about compiling, you might want to re-post to "Java Programming".

  • Error when compiling the Java file

Hi I have created a jsp program that uses the java files. i have jboss installed. when i compile the java file it gives compilation error saying that javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.TagSupport not found.
Although when i installed the Tomcat seperately i did not get any compilation error. can anyone tell me how to get out of this problem when Tomcat is not installed seperately.
    Thanks,
    Rakesh

    Hi
I think these errors are due to incorrect classpath settings. While compiling HelloHome ..Helloremote must be in classpath. Also if u have packaged them u must be in the package root during compilation ie if uor remote & home interface is in a package called "ejbserver"
then while compiling u must be in the folder above ejbserver & compile command is
    javac .\ejbserver\*.java
If uor home & remote interface is in different folder check wheather u have imported the remote interface inside home interface file.

  • "Volume not found" I have 3 iphoto_libraries stored in a external disk, while the actual files are in other external disk. Ive moved together iphotolibraries and files but: HOW CAN I TELL THE LIBRARIES WHERE TO FIND THEM NOW?

I have three iphoto_libraries stored in a external disk PASSPORT (one for each trip imovie Im making -Ive managed this way the libraries so to not confuse the trips) while the actual files are in OTHER external disk LACIE. And everything was fine: imovie find each library, could work with it, or iphoto could edit the files.
But one day everything crashed at the same time: i opened iphoto to find 3 different scenarios:
    1) iphoto_library GREECE was there, but not the albums i prepared. no events. when double click in any of them: "Volume not found"
    2) iphoto_library ITALY was there, and the albums i prepared too, but empty.
in both cases I can only see the photos in 'photos'  because 'events'  shows some events with photo preview and some with no preview, just some kind of preset clipart palm tree, but if i enter the event, photos are there but again: when double click in any item: "Volume not found"
    3)  iphoto_library ISRAEL was there, the albums too, when double click in any of them: all OK
The 3 libraries was managed the same way. Meaning: Ive imported photos to iphoto from external disk LACIE in a iphotolibrary stored in another external disk PASSPORT. Also: I don't have unchecked the option "copy to file" or something like that. photos where moved, not copied. Also i have all the movie_libraries in the PASSPORT as well. What happened??
Solution? Nothing yet. Ive moved now all the photo folders from LACIE together in PASSPORT with the iphotolibraries but problem persist:
HOW CAN I TELL THE LIBRARIES WHERE TO LOOK FOR THE VOLUMES NOW?
"Volumes" are the original files aren't them?
Please help. this is so annoying to try and find in the forum, to tricky to explain
    I have a Macbook pro retina Yosemite 10.10.1 / iphoto 9.6 (910-29)/ iMovie 10.0.6
    THANK YOU
    Vicky

The 3 libraries was managed the same way. Meaning: Ive imported photos to iphoto from external disk LACIE in a iphotolibrary stored in another external disk PASSPORT.
This is not clear, especially when you say
I don't have unchecked the option "copy to file" or something like that. photos where moved, not copied.
Especially as the message you're getting is typical of a library where the ' option "copy to file" or something like that' is unchecked.
    So it's a simple question:
Are you these Managed or Referenced Libraries?
A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files into the Library on import) The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.

I've installed three times with no luck. I downloaded the Creative Cloud Packager off the licensing site: https://licensing.adobe.com. I unpacked and choose my applications. The install seemed to be successful, but I don't so any of the applications anywhere.

    Hi,
Creating package doesn't mean it will install the product,
You will need to install the package now. Please follow the instructions mentioned in the below articles
Creative Cloud Help | Creating or editing packages
Creative Cloud Help | Deploying packages
Please let me know if it doesn't help.

  • How to detrmine what directory you (the JAR file) are in

Is there some sort of function that returns (ideally in a string, or array of strings) what directory you (the JAR file) are in? Something along the lines of:
String dir = Function();Then dir would be something like : "C:\Users and Settings\Me\Java Apps"
    Thanks.

It's not clear exactly what is wanted. Look at the information in the API for java.lang.System,getProperties(), which lists properties available - choos the one you want.

  • How to access the *.java file corresponding to a TypeElement T?

    Here is a problem:
How to access the *.java file corresponding to a TypeElement T from a AnnotationProcessor environment?
Let us say the hook method
public boolean process(Set<? extends TypeElement> annos, RoundEnvironment roundEnv)
    is invoked with a TypeElement T such that T.getQualifiedname() = "a.b.c.X"
And the problem is how to locate the file that has the *.java source code for a.b.c.X?
That is the file that has the source code for a.b.c.X say "some/path/a/b/c/X.java"?
For simplicity, let us assume that TypeElement T corresponds to a top-level Java class.

    Pinaki wrote:
That is not something you as the annotation processor author should be asking about. That is something you the person configuring the javac environment should set up via the -d option or its equivalent.
I strongly recommend using a separate output directory hierarchy. That is the way the current implementation is. The annotation processor takes a -Aout= <some directory path> to write generated output relative to a user-specified location (which defaults to the class output location). That is contrary to the design of the annotation processing facility. The intended use is for that information to be configured via options like "javac -d".
Additionally, IMO it is a serious configuration error to put generated files and input files, presumably tracked under version control, in the same directory. Interesting you said that. We are just running some "field trial" with these things and some users want them to be in the same directory of the original *.java files (especially when their source files are spread across many roots) .
Who knows what the user wants? The user does and the user is free to (mis)configure their environment however they like ;-) However, that is the user's option and the user has control of this via the javac command line. The annotation processor is not the proper place to configure this setting; see slide 7 of http://blogs.sun.com/darcy/resource/J1_2006-BOF-0606.pdf for some thoughts on different roles in annotation processing.
presumably tracked under version control, in the same directory.version control is another 'usability issues' that we are trying to get our heads around with this stuff. "To check-in or not?" - that seems to be the question. When presented these facilities without any cue, "the users" were divided -- some wanted them to be checked-in, some did not. The context where these generated files being used -- there exists some rationale to check them in a version control system. The right answer depends on the circumstances, but IMO generally generated files should not be checked in under version control, especially if they are derived from other source files. Checking in generated files of this nature just creates the opportunity for them to get out of date with the originating files.

  • Can not see the design view nor the java file in CentOS

Hi all. I've recently installed JSC2 in CentOS. I find this tool really useful. But I have a problem with the design view and the java file view. At the beginning, when I first create a Page1.jsp, I can see the design view and the java view with no problem. I run apps correctly. But after a while, I get a "null pointer exception" error and I am able to see only the jsp view, not the others. I don't even have the option to see the Design and Java views. And the page icon in the project window appears to be darker than a well working page. I'm not really sure what sequence of actions I do to get this error, it just suddenly happens. What I've done so far in JSC2 is to link to pages in the Page Navigation view. It works fine for a while, but after a while I get the error I've described.

Yes, if I do that It happens the same. I've tried everything. Now I'm using Window$ 2000 and it works properly. Thanks anyway.

THis is safe for Mac's? Sorry, I have just never heard of this site before.
And there are literally tens of thousands of sites of which I've not heard, too. Not this one.
It's legit. There are lots of links in Apple Support Communities to the LibreOffice web site, as well as others that are legitimate open-source developers of options to buying MS Office, such as NeoOffice and OpenOffice. I have Open Office installed on one of my older Macs that can't run Office 2011 and it is rock-solid.
I've been here too long to start posting bogus urls now.
