Why am I getting calendar events twice?

Why am I getting calendar events twice on my iPhone? I am sharing calendar with my wifes iPhone. My duplicates code in the same color, my wife gets duplicates in different colors. I suspect this is a set up problem but help here would be appreciated.

I figured it out. It has to do with which calendars you want displayed. Duplications come from multiple calender selections.

I am also facing the same problem.. If anyone can help, it would be helpful. I can see the response xml has the data, but while parsing the xml the error is generated in getResponseCode() in HttpClientWebRequest

Why do I get duplicate events on my ipad calendar

I am using the icloud sync function to coordinate my calendar in outlook and on my ipad and iphone. It works fine in outlook but I get repeated events every time i sync my ipad or phone. I have only got the cloud calendar selected on all three devices. It also does not carry events across to outlook that I create on the ipad. Thanks.

There are lots of features that Apple doesn't include in iOS devices but that they leave available as things third party developers can add on. None of the included apps are really much more than basic. The fact that this feature is not available without installing additional software doesn't seem to have stopped many business people from using the phone. So, it's apparently not completely unnaccetable.

Why are all-day calendar events not appearing in the Notification Center?

I've noticed that all-day Calendar events do not appear in the Notfication Center in iOS. This is a glaring omission and I'm not sure if it's related to a bug or is intentional but it should be fixed right away. Why in the world would you leave out an all-day event from the Notification Center? What if I had a wedding anniversary or some other important event to remember?

IOS / is no out for a couple of weeks and Apple seems to be reluctant to fix this problem. As a business device it becomes rediculous to be not able to see my calender entries anymore in the notification center. Is Apple now leaving the business arena and focusing on toys ?

Getting calendar events from exchange 2003

We have a requirement of getting the calendar items from exchange server 2003 using web dav , jakarta slide
initially we made a connection and retrieve the mail items from server
we use search method of org.webdav.lib.httpclient.method.search method to search and retrieve the responses
can any one say how to build an XML request for retrieving calendar events from exchange and how to parse the search method response from and retrieving it.
it would be more helpful if any one throw some light on this

I can't seem to get calendar events created on my iphone to syc to the icloud calendar

I am using an iPhone 4 and all of a sudden, I can't get my calendar events on my phone to up sync to the icloud. Contacts work great from phone to cloud..but events don't work at all.
Help!

First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

Why won't get(Calendar.MINUTE) work?????

I am a beginner programmer and am writing some code for my theater company to help our operations in the lighting booth. I want it to pop up a message box at a certain time, say 7:55 pm, that will tell the stage manager to give the actors their 10 minute call. I have tried the following:
int a = calendar.get(Calendar.HOUR_OF_DAY);
int b = calendar.get(Calendar.MINUTE);
while(a==19 && b!=55)
int i = 0;
for(i=0; i<6; i++)
b = calendar.get(Calendar.MINUTE);

I have also tried many other things, such as just putting while(calendar.get(Calendar.HOUR_OF_DAY)==19 && calendar.get(Calendar.MINUTE)<55);. Nothing has worked. What appears to me to be happening is that the method get(Calendar.MINUTE) is not updating itself as time changes after the initial run of the statement (I derived this from de-bugging and watching the values change.) Is there any reason for this? Does it just not recognize the finite time change from one minute to the next in the middle of running? Are there any solutions? Thank you!
Addendum: There are no errors in the IDE (Netbeans)

A Calendar object doesn't magically update itself as time passes. It's just a representation of an instant in time and certain culture-imposed divsions and labels for that instant.
If you want a Calendar that reflects the time 5 minutes later, then 5 minutes later, you have to create a new Calendar. (Or explicitly set an existing Calendar to that time.)

Why would a repeating Calendar event display on both my Macs and my iPhone, but not on my iPad?

I have accepted a repeating Calendar event invitation. It displays on both my office and home Macs and on my iPhone, but it doesn't show up on my iPad. I've checked to ensure that the proper Calendar is displaying on the iPad, and all of my other events seem to be displaying just fine. I'm stumped by this one!

The Mac and the iPhone should both have iCloud enabled and they should sync up.
The duplicate entries may have been because you had synced the calendar both with iTunes and iCloud. It should be done one way or the other, not both.

Why do all my Calendar events on my iPad 2 disappear when I try to edit an event?

Ever since I updated my iPad 2 to iOS6, a strange quirk occurs with Calendar. If I try to edit a Calendar event on the iPad (no matter what the event is or when it is), all the events in my entire calendar disappear from iPad. They don't actually "delete" themselves because I can then click on Calendars and add my Gmail calendar back. This is extremely annoying, though, and I'd hate for it to decide to wipe them all out food good one day. Has anyone else experienced this bug, and have you found a solution?

You can sort Events manually, but you cannot sort within Events manually. So I'm not sure what you're asking here.

Why don't Outlook calendar events show up in Notification Center?

I have my iPhone (6) with iOS 8.1.2 set up to work with my corporate Outlook, and everything has typically worked fine. At some point in the last few weeks, I've noticed that Outlook calendar events don't appear in the Notification Center - and I'm confident that they used to. They show up in the Calendar app, reminders pop up for the events...but suddenly they don't appear when I pull down the Notification Center on my phone. Only iCal and events that I created on my phone show up. Any thoughts?

ManSinha - thanks for your response - and yes, that's the first place I looked. The Outlook events still don't show up in the iOS notification center. They do show up in the upper "summary" section though - the where it has the date, weather, then "The first thing on your calendar today is (Outlook Event) at 12:15 PM." But in the Calendar widget right below, it doesn't show up.
Again, it shows up in the Calendar app - so I'm not sure where the disconnect is.

Why are my 2012 Calendar Events Not Showing?

3 of my iPads are no longer showing events from 2012, my 1st generation iPad IS showing them. They also show up on my desktop computers. Why?
And how do I get them back? (My guess is to delete them all and then select to get them from the iCloud again.)

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, scroll down to the Calendars section and change the sync option to something other than 'Events 1 month back'.

Why do I get some characters twice?

I have two GPIB devices connected to my computer. When I want to communicate with them using LV, I get a good response from the first one (Agilent 4278A Capacitance Meter), but not from the second one ("Hewlett Packard EPM-441A" Power Meter). Here is the detail. I send a "*IDN?" command. First one responds by sending its ID String, "HEWLETTPACKARD,4278A,0000A00000,REV3.31". When it comes to the second one, it responds as "HEEWLLLEETTTT--PPAACCKKAARRDD,,443377BB,,,,22..00".
As you noticed, most of the characters are received twice. As I repeat the readings, the pattern changes a little bit, but again most of them are received twice.
So, my question is, do you have an idea why it happens? Is there a way to change/set communicati
on speed for LV's GPIB Read/Write objects?

Ahhh, very interesting. It sounds like you have two 488.2 drivers installed (except for the fact that both instruments don't respond with double characters even though they are connect to the same board, which is very strange)
I'd test if it happens when you use VISA and if NI-Spy shows the duplicate characters.
In any case, it's likely that something is indeed wrong with your installation. I'd bet that you have LabVIEW 6.0.2 or earlier, did a "complete" installation of LabVIEW, then later installed NI-488.2 separately.
Reinstallation Instructions:
*Remove All NI software through start -> settings -> control panel -> add/remove programs
*Open Windows Explorer and go to c:\program files, if there is a National instruments folder delete it and all of it's c
ontents
*Shut down the computer and remove the cards
*Install LabVIEW, do a custom install and cross out the NI-DAQ, VISA, and 488.2 drivers so they won't be installed
*Install 488.2 software
*Shut down and put in the GPIB card

Why do I get duplicate events in iCal when I input them on my iPhone?

Every time I add a new event on my iPhone (as opposed to my iPad or desktop) I get a duplicate entry. This started to occur a few days ago for no apparent reason. This does not happen if I input the event on any other device.
Is there a way to solve this?

This happened to me and finally figured out what the problem is I think. I have MobileMe syncing set up on my iPod Touch and also had set in iTunes to do syncing to the iPod Touch - so one set was coming from MobileMe and another was coming from iTunes on the Mac that the iPod Touch hooks up to.
So I turned off the Syncing in iTunes and now I only have one set of things on the iPod Touch.
I think the reason for this duplication is that even without MobileMe you can keep the Mac and the iPod/iPhone/iPad in sync - the problem seems to be when you do have MobileMe that you probably don't want to have devices be syncing to both MobileMe and to the Mac as well.
To disable the iTunes syncing go to the "Info" tab and deselect the checkboxes for "Sync Address Book Contacts", "Sync iCal Calenders" and "Sync Mail Accounts". Bookmarks can only be synced with MoblieMe since there is no option for this in iTunes. I also have checked the "Sync Notes" checkbox, but not sure if I should have this checked or not. I don't have two duplicate sets of Notes on any device, so for now am leaving this as is.
I think Apple should fix this problem as it seems like a common complaint.

How to get calendar events to show at correct time on iPhone 5S

I just upgraded from an iPhone 4 to iPhone 5S and had Verizon sync contacts and calendar. Contacts kinda sorta worked but will not upgrade if I add hone numbers via computer.
Also, events in calendar show up 4 hours early on iPhone as opposed to the actual times on my pc.
Any ideas?
