Why am I not able to access a tune because my computer is not authorized... but it IS!?!

Why can't I access a tune after purchasing an entire CD, there is only one tune not available.  It shows my computer is not authorized, but it actually is.  I have downloaded 100 plus tunes int heis session and I can't access this one tune.  Why!?!

It's corrupt. Delete and redownload it if doing so is free in your country.

    From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
    Click Details then type facebook in the search field then remove all facebook related items.
    Now empty the Safari cache. Press Command + Option + E on your keyboard.
    Quit and relaunch Safari. Try accessing your Facebook page.
    If that didn't help, click History from the Safari menu bar then click Clear History.
    Quit and relaunch Safari and try Facebook again.

    Thank you so much for replying. But resetting my apple I'd Password seems to have done the trick. I am able to download apps :). Got me worried I even uninstalled kaspersky 2012 :( got to reinstall back

    I am so frustrated with this system!  All these problems with Apple TV are not the end but the beginning.
    In i-Tunes, songs are lost when they have not been moved. I lose whole albums I have ripped from CDs to iTunes

    I Am having the same issue. Ie on the password issue.
    I Am using a Macpro though.
    i Have had no issues with the setup until recently.
    However I think the hard drive is starting to fail as it keeps on losing the wireless connection and gas been stuttering a lot on playback.

  • I am trying to sync my iPod, and while attempting it I am getting the error message "(whatever the song name is) cannot be downloaded because your computer is not authorized", but when I go to authorize my computer, it says it already is authorized. ???

    While trying to sync my ipod, I keep getting the message "(songs) could not be downloaded because the computer is not authorized", but it is. It says there are 100 songs that will not download. What is the problem? Also, I have loaded some music from CDs onto my itunes, and some of them are not loading onto my ipod when I sync . . .

    Are the songs authorised to the same account? 
    Often people change their e-mail address over time, and also decide to set up new iTunes account names using that e-mail.  You can (and should) continue to use an old e-mail address as your account name.  Then you don't run into the issue of having different songs authorised to different accounts.
    To check the authorised account for the song, click "Get info" on the song name in iTunes.  It will show the account name in the Summary panel.
    If you have set up multiple accounts, log into each one, and burn the songs to CD as audio tracks (i.e. like a normal CD, not a data CD).  You can then re-import the files into iTunes without the authorisation embedded into the song.

    I have a pc and am trying to get my music through my iTunes on my computer.  I didn't have any trouble syncing my iphone 5S but can't get it to sync with my 6. OS 8.1.3
    I open iTunes on my pc, plug in my phone, then I click on the picture of a phone on the upper left hand corner of my music library. Then I get a box of options with sync at the lower right.  I have clicked "automatically sync when phone is plugged in" and have also tried to do it manually by checking specific songs and albums.  Every time I hit sync the box pops up that says, "The iPhone could not be synced because this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items that are on this iPhone.  To authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes store choose Store>Authorize This Computer."
    I took those steps and a box pops up that says "this computer is already authorized."
    I have my recently purchased music on my phone that came through the cloud when I restored my phone. But I want my old music from CD's that I put on my iTunes library in my computer.  I had all of this music on my old phone.

    It's rather difficult to give you advice since you do not say what you have tried or anything about your networking equipment but your underlying problem may be that you are not really be properly connected to your WiFi network.
    Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet. Other devices on your network may still have a proper IP address and continue to function.
    Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
    If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc.

  • I am able to access home sharing on one computer but not the other

    Both computers have updated versions of iTunes. I am able to access my brother's iTunes, which is on hard wire as well as mine, but I am unable to access my mom's laptop which is on the Wi-Fi. Does that make a difference for they are all part of the same network. I am able to see her home share on the left bar, but it just loads for a while then disappears. Also, she is able to access my home sharing from her laptop which just baffles me even more.

    Power cycle the router and try 192.168.1.1 instead.

  • Why isn't iTunes able to access iTunes Match?

    After activating iTunes match on my work laptop it seems to pass all 3 steps fine...but then it does not make any of my songs appear. The little cloud icon keeps scrolling inside but nothing....even after 12 hours.
    Would love to get this working.

    Ok so an update, after loads of tries to get this to work I have noticed a few things that always occur.
    1. All 3 steps pass every time and I get the "Your music is now available in the cloud" with the 'done' button.
    2.Once it says done I get a barber-shop cloud icon next to the music dropdown, which will freeze after about 10 secs and crash iTunes.
    3. Once I reopen iTunes I have the dreaded lightning symbol in the cloud icon which when clicked will barber-scroll forever.
    Once, I have no idea how, I managed to get my library to display as grey text...needless to say that the lightning icon was still there and the music was unresponsive, when I tried to sign out of match iTunes crashed once again. Match is working fine on my phone / tablet connected on the same network.
    Before I sign into match, but have signed into the store (after fresh iTunes install) my purchased (from iTunes) music appears and plays instantly. Unfortunately, this would be a very small fraction of my library.
    Why am I crashing and why will match not work as intedned?

    Here's another one. Let's say I access some (protected) page which redirected me to login form page. Login form page immediately creates a obssocooke (for user obanonymous). Instead of logging in, I just change URL to my protected application (I actually did it because I changed my mind and not while purposely testing).
    I am getting "not authorized" error, instead of being redirected to login page. This is very confusing and bad user experience. The obssocookie appears to point to a valid session (I checked status in my app for user session and it appears to be ObUserSession.LOGGEDIN) but obviously the user anonymous is not authorized.
    So the question is - Is there any way OAM would not create a valid session cookie for anonymous user when I just load login form page? How do you guys solve this issue? Should I somehow use auth level?

    Hi Sagar,
    What you've described is exactly my intention. I want only users with auth level > 0 to access the protected application. Plus for the resource I define my form based login as default authentication scheme (which has level=1). I think that the issue is that I protect the application with my own access gate (not a web gate). And there I have the following logic:
    if(sso cookie is present and status of the session = "logged in") then validate whether user has access to the requested resource. So in my case the sso cookie is found, and belongs to anonymous user, session state = logged in, and I fail at authorization check. I think I need to implement some kind of auth level check, or compare actual user's auth scheme with the one required for the resource, right?
