We have itunes music on a computer, an ipod nano, and a new ipod touch under two different accounts. How can we combine the music from both accounts to one device?
There is no "adding" a device. Simply plug the iDevice into the computer. iTunes should automatically detect the device when it is connected.
iTunes can sync/manage as many iDevices as you want... there is no 1 device limit. -
i need help
y daughter and i were sharing an apple id
now i have created my own
now i cant access my mail itunes icloud store nothinAll apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that bought them. To stop your id from popping up, you need to delete the apps on his phone, and then repurchase them under his account.

I downloaded a new version of iTunes, then rented a movie to watch on my laptop. Now I cant find the rented movie or how to play it. Please Help.
It should be in the Movies part of your library - if you select Movies, then is there a Rentals tab on it with that film in it ?

This morning I was just getting the white screen with logo and status bar with fan running. I thought it was an issue with the power adapter so I went out and replaced it. MBP will start now, but won't connect to internet. I have full wi-fi signal. Also, when I try to launch iTunes, it just quits right away. Please help?
-AReinstall OS X without erasing the drive
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1. -
I've forgotten the answers to my security questions, and for some reasons My rescue email is not active now, I can only access to my primary email, I have just redeemed a $25 gift card this morning, I was unable to use the money now. what should I do?
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; this can be done by clicking here and picking a method, or if your country isn't listed, filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

How can you expect the customer to have a LOCAL/COUNTRY Based Credit Card every where we go???
Last week I was on holiday in HK,
and
from my Hotel I was able to use m VN Credit Card with my Apple ID and purchase online!
Why THIS WEEK, can't I use my HSBC Platinum Credit Card from Vietnam,
for my Singapore Apple ID account ,
while working here in Vietnam???Unfortunately, this is a problem that is driven by the DRM Dictatorship. Despite the proliferation of mobile devices and the fact that there are many of us who do a lot of international travel, content providers don't want you to have access to their products outside of your homeland. The Balkanized mentality of the DRM Dictatorship is way out of touch with the modern world.
At least Apple, to its credit, allows you to use your accounts outside of your homeland as long as you have the proper credentials for them. Most other services use the more Draconian geolocation filtering which does require you to be physically present in your homeland. For the most part, you are not allowed to leave home if you want access to your favorite entertainment! -
When I was running this morning I was listening to my iPhone.
When I was running this morning I was listening to my iPhone, and a song came on that I really liked but I didn't recognise, is there anyway that we can invent an option on Siri to say "who" and then it tells you the details of the song i.e. song title and artist.
Then when I create a new running playlist I can add this to my collection.
As most people these days, probably have a lot of "whole" albums, but only listen to a few of the songs, it's always great when you unearth these little hidden gems. Then you're going to have to wait till you get home. The phone needs to be connected to iTunes. It's in recovery mode.
Since you've never synced, your data is gone. There is no way to recover it. Unless you were running iOS 5 and were backing up to iCloud... but I kind of doubt that since you would have had to plug it in to iTunes to update it to iOS 5 in the first place.
I would HIGHLY recommend you update it to iOS 5 and set up iCloud backups when you get it home. That will at least help prevent you from finding youself in this situation again. -

Hi,
I have tried and confimed that you can download the previous version from some web-site about the version 10.5.1.42.
Remove/un-install 10.5.2.11 and restart your computer.
Install the old version 10.5.1.42
and then you can find the "Devices" on the left column and showing synchronizing when you connect the cable.
Good luck -
I had sound on my computer last night but when turning on this morning there was no sound. It is not muted. Any suggestions. Also, when I try to run an event in IPhoto as a slide show, it shuts down.
Just to clarify, does iPhoto unexpectedly quit or does your computer shut down? For the sound problem, try here:

my iPhone is about 6 months old now and I would say I don't use it that much. Yet for the last month or so the battery life has been going down and today after having charged it to 100% this morning, it was at 5% at 4 pm this aft. help!!
Ok Fellas, let me give you a clue: Games, particularly those that make heavy use of graphics and sound are notoriously power hungry. In fact, when I was in the Navy many years ago, the folks working on the NTDS (Navy Tactical Data System) computers used a version of Space Invaders to load test the AN/UYK-43 computers.
I have also noticed that all of my laptops (I have a brand new Toshiba dual core, an older Toshiba single core, plus 2 Dell dual core machines) have significantly shorter battery life when I play Company of Heroes than when I am just reading e-mail or surfing the 'Net. I have also noticed the same behavior when I play games on my 4th gen Touch and my iPhone 4.
The fact is, iOS 5 did make some major improvements as well as adding some nice functionality like iMessage, wireless synch, and such, but the down side is that depending on how you use the device battery life can be shorter that what you may have experienced with pervious versions of iOS. Its just the nature of the beast...
We now return you to our regularly scheduled programming.....

Recently i had to get a new computer. I was able to get itunes on the new computer and itunes did reconize my phone. BUT, it doesnt want to transfer the music from my phone to the computer? Can someone help, Please??
ThanksFile>Transfer Purchases in iTunes will transfer items purchased from the iTunes store.
If you have items from other sources (ripped CD's, etc.) on the phone, you can't transfer those without purchasing 3rd party software.
Restore the backup of your old computer or just copy the data from the old computer to the new one. -
Was able to transfer itunes music from external drive to computer, but they won't play. There are "!" marks next to all transferred songs and a message reads "Unable to locate songs". How do i get the transferred songs to play without having the external drive connected.
Select a single song with a broken link, press CTRL+I to Get Info, cancel when asked to locate the track and take a look at the Summary tab. Post back where iTunes is looking for the file. It begins file://localhost
Where is it really?
Please post back both paths so that I can make suggestions. Full paths please, exact spellings, you can replace your user name with <User> if needed.
