Why can't I access my browsing history?

very simply, when I use the pull down tab to view my browsing history, there is no history shown, and I know I have history from today, and more than that, I probably have a month's worth of browsing that I would like to access.

Can you see your History in the "Library" window?
Also, your UserAgent string in Firefox is messed up by another program that you installed - Comcast software.

I want to see my browsing history but all of them got deleted. I tried to fix it in the options menu, but nothing changed.

* Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the Browsing History.
* Make sure that the History is set to at least 1 day: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: "Remember visited pages for at least"
* Make sure that you do not start Firefox in Private Browsing mode (Tools > Stop Private Browsing is grayed, see [[Private Browsing]])
* To see History and Cookie settings in Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history"

Why can't I clear my browsing history in safari

I am trying to clear my browsing history on my iPhone 4 but the bit ton is gray and won't allow me to select it in either the settings menu or in the actual browser. I also tries putting my safari app into private mode but for some reason cannot find the button... It should be in safari at the bottom when I choose to look at multiple tabs (or at least that's where I have always found it) but I don't see it anywhere. I am not sure if this is a problem with the new iOS update I just got or if I somehow changed my settings somewhere to not allow these functions but it is really annoying not being able to clear my history... Please help me figure out how to fix this

Why can't I access "clear recent history" in the tools menu?

When I use the drop down menu for tools, I can't use "clear recent history" or " stop private browsing" because when I click on them nothing happens and they are not in the darker print as the other menu listings. I've been having this problem for a couple of wks and am not real good on fixing my computer. I erased foxfire and downloaded it again, still no good. I have windows 7.

That happens when in Private Browsing or in "permanent" Private Browsing.

Why can't I delete my browsing history

I have tried going to settings, safari, clear history but that does not work. I have also tried doing the little book pages at the top of the screen in the Internet browser then deleting everything. I have tried restarting and rebooting but nothing seems to work. I have never experienced this problem until now. It's just a handful of website url's that pop up every time. Please help.

But Yes, I agree about the bookmarks. You are right about this I'm sure. I didn't even think about bookmarks.You have to delete bookmarks in order to competely clear all of that out. I have tons of bookmarks in Safari and unless I delete the bookmarks, even if I clear the history, those websites will pop up in the window under the URL field because they are still in the bookmarks.
Deleting the history just deletes the chronological listing of the sites that you have visited over a period of time. Bookmarks are something totally different altogether.
But to me - the whole point of having bookmarks is so that you can easily navigate back to this sites.

Problems with buttons and links at the top of the page not working can be caused by an extension like the Yahoo! Toolbar or a Babylon extension that extents too much downwards and covers the top part of the browser window and thus makes links and buttons in that part of the screen not clickable.

There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps. If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
For users of 10.6 and later: You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
Other options include:
Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
Show File: a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected. 3.b.
b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

Locking Access to browser history

I work at a school, that runs from Pre-K to Sixth grade; though we are considering expanding to the 7th and 8th grades. Currently we don't have any method to record where our kids (4th, 5th and 6th) are browsing (we use GURL Watcher, but it's reliability is suspect).
Is there a way to set Safari that they are unable to change Safari's browser history (because some of them have begun to clear it, and with the unreliability of GURL Watcher we can definitively need some way to track where they are going).
Our intent is not to stop them from browsing (though they are well aware that there are not allowed to visit sexually-themed sites or things of that nature) but to make sure that they are doing anything inappropriate.

Short of activating parental controls in a managed user account, there's not much you can do about access to the History. The short coming of parental controls finds users limited to a "white list" of allowed web sites, which would impinge on searches etc.
Two 3rd party parental monitoring programs to consider:
KidsGoGoGo
and
Safe Eyes

And again exactly are you doing? How are you trying to attach them? The basic answer is to use the media browser in the lower left hand corner of the attach window under Media ==> photos. ==> iPhoto

Hi. My camera is a Canon 600D. And yes my videos are stored in the Aperture library and they are not referenced. Even then I tried to select all the videos in Aperture and clicked 'consolidate masters' and there was a messge that said all 'none of the files are referenced',... so they didn't need consolidating.
I also tried preferences> export> external video editor > choose > iMovie. And then right click on the video to edit with imovie. Even then the video didn't show up in iMovie. It seems like the only option for me is to import the videos directly to iMovie which means there will be two versions of the same file stored in my computer eating up space.
APPLE. What are you doing?
