Why can't I touch my screen in certain places? It acts as if it is frozen in certain areas?

My screen doesn't work in certain places. It is hard for me to text or press any keys that are at the top of the screen. HELP!!!

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these steps in order until the issue is resolved.
If they do not resolve the issue, then a hardware issue exists. Take the device to Apple.

Mirroring won't fill the TV screen. The iPad has an aspect ratio of 4:3 and the iPhone 4S or prior an aspect ratio of 3:2, neither of these will fit exactly into a TV screen which as an aspect ratio of 16:9. The Apple TV will not zoom the mirrored image, because it may well cut off information which is situated at the top or bottom of the screen.
You may wish to try each of the settings in settings > AirPlay > Adjust for Overscan for the best setting that suits you.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. It really didn't make any sense. Everyone wants to update their iPod touch to iOS 4 just because they want to use Multitasking and home screen wallpaper. But Apple just don't let all the iPod touch 2G users use these features. I know that the touch 2G hardware is not powerful enough for the multitasking ability and it's reasonable, but just why can't we just replace the home screen background by a picture?

Reports have quoted that Steve Jobs said that icon performance was degraded too badly with wallpaper for Apple to feel comfortable including that feature.

Did you purchase your iPod Touch second hand or direclty from the Apple Store? I would recommend that you go back to the Apple Store and show them both devices in action so that they can advise you closely.

Why can't I change the screen orientation of my iPad?

I just upgraded my iPad to IOS 7.0.4. Suddenly it seems to be locked in portrait mode. I have tried turning the lock feature off and on, but that doesn't help. I am at a loss.

Unfortunately not. I found a work-around that allows me to use the device in landscape format. I use the accessibility settings in settings (under general) and turn "assistive touch" on. A white dot appears on the screen. When you click on that, you can rotate (and lock) the screen in any position you like.
It's not ideal, but so far it's all I've got. I'd like to bring it into a genius bar, but haven't had time.

Why can't I get wide screen when burning a dvd?

My sequence is all 1920x 1080 HD footage in mpeg2. My photos are all 1920 x1080 px. In encore if I want to burn a standard DVD it automatically goes to 720x480 if I choose " mpeg2dvd" format. Why isn't there a wide screen mpeg2 dvd format?

Colin, what you show is the dialog box when I do file> export media, right? Except mine is different (Pr 5.5 iss different?) and has a check box for "match source attributes" and when that is checked the format box is grayed out. And I don't see where you can customize anything.
What's the purpose of File>export media if it doesn't create a dvd?
If i do File> dyn link> send to encore there is no dialog box like you showed. it doesn't give any choices except dvd or blu ray and no "wide screen".
Are you all saying that 720x480 is all you get on a dvd and if your source is 16x9 it will squish it to fit? aren't hollywood dvd's in 16x9?

Why can't I "Share My Screen"?

Friday I was in a trouble-shooting session via Adobe's "chat" trying to get my Captivate app reactivated on a new PC (Windows 7). The Adobe tech support person wanted to see the window I was looking at, so the support person gave me to the link in the chat window to "share screen, " which opened Adobe Connect. After Adobe Connect opened, I clicked "Share My Screen," but it didn't work.
Why would it not work? Might it relate to my company's standard Internet security settings?

Hey Jan,
There's no need to purchase Adobe Connect - anyone can download the Adobe Connect add-in. The add-in is actually only required if you need to share your screen (we've never added that functionality to the Flash Player).
You can install the add-in manually, though there is also somethig we call the 'lightning install' process that happens when you try to share your screen without the add-in installed. The lightning install should only take a few seconds and it usually even works for customers in locked-down desktop environments. Once installed, the meeting room would re-open in the add-in.
In your case - it looks like the lightning install failed (or didn't begin). Perhaps IE blocked it, or perhaps there was a yellow bar at the top of your screen that you may not have noticed.
In any case, manually installing the add-in should resolve the issue.
I'd recommend using version 9 of the add-in since it's backwards compatible.

Why can't I have damaged screen in iPhone6 replaced in Poland at a reasonable price?

I have bought my iPhone 6 in Poland and now I can't have its broken screen replaced with an authorized service provider in Poland at a price of $109, which was offered by Apple before the launch of this product:

They offer me a replacement for a new phone at $410 (half price of the new iPhone6) as the best option available! Another alternative they propose is to have the screen replaced at $319, but if I go for it, I will loose the initial manufacturer's warranty.
In Germany, where the average pay is 3 times higher than in Poland, I could have the screen replaced with an authorized service provider 3 times cheaper (at approx. $130)! But if I have this fixed in Germany, will I not loose the initial manufacturer guarantee?

Your options would be
1.Buy the Out of Warranty exchange device as already offerred
2.Take the iPhone 6 to another EU Country where the screen replacement service is offerred by Apple.such as Germany ,price is Euros 109
The warranty and post warranty service on iPhones purchased from a legitimate source in the EU can be serviced in any other EU Country

Yeah, if this is the way it's supposed to work its a useless and, dare I say, stupid "feature". Wouldn't the whole point of this be to have quick access to groups of pages. If I have to select them each time to create the group what is it doing for me?

My iPod touch is being unresponsive. I accidentally dropped it screen down and now when I go to slide to unlock it, it won't work. I've tried numerous times at resetting it, holding the home and sleep/wake button until it resets, with no luck. The Wi-Fi isn't even connecting. And the notification pull down screen and the pull up screen isn't present either. Would really like to know what is wrong with it. Thanks.

Try the following but you likely have a hardware problem:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
