Why Can't I Turn On My Ipod Touch 2g

Sorry to ask this but i can't seem to turn on my ipod what i did before it turn off is i plugged it in to my computer then i hold the power button and home button together then i let go of the home button then several seconds it turned off why????

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Hi, i've had my iPod for 6 months now and it's been working fine but then today Nov 11th, i was just done updating a game and i went back on the apps store and i felt a electric shock and my iPod sloowly turned white. I reset it by pressing the home button and he power button at the same time and then it went black. The iPod was really hot, so i left it untouched so it could cool down. Now that it's cool down, it WILL NOT turn back on!!! I am upset and i've tried everything including connecting it to the computer and charging it. Yes they can, you are correct. I should have maybe said that in my post. I was merely trying to say that I believe they want to keep the iPhone more organized. I got out of dragging and dropping to my iPod after I created my first playlist. Makes things a lot eaiser just to sync a list.

You probably have a 2G iPod and those can only go to 4.2.1. If 8 or 16 GB it is a 2G. A 32 GB can be either . To identify yours:

Change your iTunes (Apple ID) password along with any other password that was stored in the iPod. If any passwords are associated with credit cards, contact the CC company and get your card replaced (with a new number). If any passwords are associated with your bank or any savings institution, contact them also and discuss approprate action with them.
The "Find my..." function is pretty much useless if the device is in the hands of a thief. All that is necessary is for the thief to connect to any computer with iTunes and "Restore as new."
The only real protection you have is with the personal information on the device rather than the physical device itself. Something as small as an iPod should have a strong 8-digit (or longer) password AND be configured for automatic wipe in the event of ten consecutive incorrect password entries.

Recently I went on a camping trip and charged my iPod in a friend's car with an apple charger. ever since I can't turn it off by holding the play/pause button. I've tried reseting it yet it just turns back on and I still can't turn it off. I even restored the iPod from iTunes. I tried running out the battery and fully recharging it and still have the problem. This is a refurbished iPod that Geek Squad sent to replace the one I bought that had other problems. What do I do??

Hi Fredburger,
You may need to try letting your iPod's battery fully drain down, all the way until you finally reach the "Low battery" screen on your iPod.
Then, when it's finally run out of charge, connect it to your computer, and let it stay connected and recharging there for a full 4 hours.
Afterward, disconnect it from your computer (be sure to eject it from your computer, if needed), and try seeing if it will turn off.
Any success with trying that?

Thank you for helping me. I dont think I can replace this wire. it comes out of the screen and clips in to the back part of the ipod. I will see if my grandma can send it back and get a new one. Police don't "track down" lost items, per se. They'll keep your information on file in the event that someone finds your iPod and turns it in. Otherwise, there's nothing the police can or will do in regards to finding lost property.
Sorry, but your iPod is most likely gone for good.

Hi everybody. I want to turn the HDR to on in the camera , but I couldn't . I tapped on the HDR to turn it on but it doesn't. Why?
I'm using the manual settings on my camera. The settings are : Flash off - Resolution 15.5MP(16:9) - Self-timer off - Smile Shutter off - Focus mode Touch focus - HDR is off and won't turn on - ISO Auto - Metering Center - Image stabilizer off - Preview 3 seconds
Quick launch Launch only - Geotagging off - Touch capture off - Use Volum key as Zoom - Sound on - Data storage SD card - Touch Block deactivated. . These are my manual settings for the camera . Why can't I turn the HDR Mode to ON? Anybody has any idea?

Hi Prodigy1,
There is a limit of 8 megapixel, because the Exmor RS lowlight capabilities are optimized around this resolution. So change the resolution to 8MP or lower and it should work.

Why can't I turn on File and Font Sync in Creative Cloud?

I'll send an email to that as well but the same issue occurs with file sync. I have this on my personal account but not our CC for teams accounts.
These are what I see when I click those tabs in my Creative Cloud window.

While I know there are phones that can do this, they really are not powered "off" - they are more in a hybernation state. However, the iPhone has never worked that way. Off on an iPhone means truly powered off - nothing is still running so there is no minimal function left ticking away to wake up the phone and sound the alarm.
