Why can't you guys keep FireFox from crashing? I need this browser for my College Courses and this is making me angry because it's putting me behind.

It seems like every day I have to restart my computer because Firefox's consistency for staying up and running properly is a complete failure. This is unacceptable; I have College courses that I take online and every time the Firefox browser crashes I lose work and when I lose work I get bad grades in school because you have failed your duty to maintain a browser that you also had to earn a degree to get the job. I'm very distraught over this and I'm very close to using a new browser if you don't square this away like yesterday. Not only do I get bad grades I also have to pay the school back the money if I fail. If I fail this course because you didn't do your job I'm going to make you pay the school back for my trouble.

Could you spend a day using Firefox in its Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
Any difference?
Alternately, try a couple of the things Safe Mode does for you:
(1) Disable Firefox's use of hardware acceleration for graphics
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
This will take effect the next time you exit and start Firefox up again.
(2) Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Hopefully this will minimize the potential causes of instability.

If I have a pinned homepage; How can I keep Firefox from opening a second tab. None of the answers on this site help at all

I have a local html file on my system that I use as a homepage in Firefox. This homepage has a list of links that I regularly use. I have this file homepage pinned in Firefox. Every time I open Firefox not only do I get my pinned homepage, I get another tab with the firefox homepage opened and focused on.
All I want to load when I open Firefox is my chosen homepage. That is it. How do I stop this second tab from opening?
None of the older questions and answers on this site seem to work. Why is this so hard. It works in Google Chrome out of the box but I'm migrating away from Chrome because Google decided to break my extensions without my permission by not allowing third party extensions to be loaded, only ones listed in their store.

I do not see why it should not work for you. I have just tried doing that and it works for me.
First of all double check what is shown on your list of home pages. Firefox may be set to open more than one home page,each one as a separate tab. The listing separates the tabs with a pipe symbol | (Often the key above the Ctrl key)

Another possibility is that you have set Firefox to restart with the tabs from the previous setting.

Why can't you easily attach photos from Mail?

I'm kind of scratching my head that there is no option in Mail to attach photos or videos. I know that I can exit from Mail, go to Photos, select Copy, select photos, exit Photos, go back to Mail and paste them, but that's about 7 steps too many for my liking. Why isn't there an attachment feature right in the Mail app?

Same here. It's been happening for about a week and nothing has been resolved. This has happen to me in the past with firefox and i'm getting tired of it. I also noticed my memory usage goes threw the roof before it crashes. I have 3.6.13 and i'm using windows xp pro with service pack 3

So many times i get this in the title bar "not responding", avg pops up and say's there is a of memory being used like 270mb by facebook, i use pop up blockers, do not track me add ons anything to speed page loading, I repeatedly get different script msg pop ups, it's angering me so much just trying to surf facebook! If i click on a link, to go off of facecbook to read an article it takes for ever for all the crap to load banner adds or what have you that I don't know what to do, then I goto your help section and its like geesh I have to be a IT dude to figure all this out. AirDop on the Mac is a different tech than AirDrop on the iPhone and iPad. At this time, there is no interaction between thew different AirDrops.
It is a little confusing that they are called the same, but are in fact different.
Why Apple did this, I can't say. Maybe in the future it will be possible.

I'm wondering if the other settings manager in your Control Panel is overriding that.

If you can't find the Flash Player manager in your control panel, you can call it up by going to the online settings manager I mentioned above, right clicking on it, and then selecting "Global Settings."

I don't see that you've ever asked a question here before, nor can I see a complete question in your all caps jumble which is very hard to read.

Why can't you keep addons compatible with your very frequent new version releases?

While I understand that you don't write the addons, it is very frustrating to me, that you keep releasing major version releases every few months, and the result is large numbers of incompatabilities. Why can't you make your builds more forgiving for addons? For instance I cannot use Norton Internet Security's toolbar right now - that's a pretty major addon, and I think it's on Mozilla to ensure some form of compatibility, or at the very least, have common REQUIREMENTS published, so vendors aren't left guessing every time.
