When you see that notice it means that the thread or User Tip has been removed. A User Tip may have gone out of date and been removed at the author's request. With a thread it means that someone, usually the original poster, has violated the Terms of Use by ranting, spamming, personal abuse or other content which is not allowed. Consequently anyone else who tries to view that thread will see the message quoted above, which is a standard message in the forum software; the 'contact an administator' bit is irrelevant.

What's the point of including "You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake" when a post is pulled?

I understand that the mods here can't possibly reply to everyone who has a post pulled for ToU. One can vaguely try to contact an administrator indirectly, perhaps, by posting here. (When this takes the form of a "why was my post pulled" post, this usually starts a discussion of some kind, which may or may not have any value, but which almost always fails to elicit any direct participation of the Hosts, and gives the impression, at least, it's being completely ignored by them.)
Since there is no way of directly contacting an administrator, either for ToU or for any other reason, which this appears to suggest is possible, why not just get rid of it?

If you got the email with content for the "final straw" post, which was mine, then you will know what I wrote. I already had one post pulled in that thread for a ToU and I did receive the obligatory email for that. I did not receive an email for the "final straw" post. Just the entire thread got pulled almost immediately at that point.
Everything I am writing here now is deliberately being veiled and obscured to the limit possible without losing all meaning and just turning this into noise. No one who didn't receive that email content for my post will have any very clear idea what this is all about.
My "final straw" comments related to several things: some copyright issues concerning the site under discussion; the ToU of that site as, in fact, necessarily prohibiting even the linking of content from that site, and an attempt to differentiate, in general, between what is illegal and what is a violation of the ToU, and not illegal, as such, for any service on any site. I'm not opening all of that up again here, since whatever it was I wrote will probably just get this post pulled.
All I can say is I attempted assiduously to stay clear of the Apple ToU violation for which I was cited by the Apple email in my earlier post which was pulled -- or any ToU violation, for that matter. I was not discussing Apple's policies, nor was I giving "forbidden" instructions. That the entire thread got pulled has to make me think that straying into those waters -- perhaps, my discussion of copyright issues in regard to the behavior of the other site under consideration, especially, made someone very nervous. Or maybe it was something other than that. But I will never know.
In any case, "You might contact your administrator if you think...." is genuinely silly, and unless it's somehow ineradicable from the Jive template -- I see now Meg has given that as a possible reason -- I can't see why it shouldn't be removed.

This sort of thing happens when either the whole thread is removed or a part of it that you are trying to Link back to.
The emails about new posts are sent out before the Poster can even Edit their post and certainly before the Hosts can look at it.
This means you have links that worked at the time the email was sent.
There is another link towards the top right of the email that link to the thread rather than the post (View Full Discussion)
You may be able to find the thread this way if only part of it has been removed.
If that does not work then the Hosts will have removed the whole thread from View.
If it was you that crossed some line in posting etiquette in some way then the Hosts will email you telling your why.
It may be that your post has been "lost" as it was linked below something that was removed, in which case you will not be told.
Some areas have many posts removed from view, others can have seemingly none removed.

Possibly because Apple has nothing to do with data plans. Apple doesn't sell data plans, they don't service them, they don't control them, they don't set the prices. You purchase your data plan from the carrier you choose. Inquiries should be directed to your carrier. Just my guess. We don't need to get into the why's and wherefore's of data plans, which can be a topic of intense debate and argument.

Thanks for your reply, but you might have misunderstood it a bit. I'm NOT trying to buy a movie. ****, I'm not even in the actual Apple Store, when this happens I'm in the library not the Store part of iTunes.
To clarify - I have purchased a physical copy of a movie which came with another physical copy which contains the digital copy. The digital copy is on the DVD, all I need is just to transfer this file to my iPod Touch, for example, I'm not trying to download it from the store or repurchase it and it's not any gift code that I've received, the digital copy is on the disc. This is the first time ever that I've purchased something on a disc and I'm not allowed to access it because the disc hasn't been purchased within my country.
So again - I'm not attempting any purchase or download any purchased digital copy - it's on a DVD I own physically so... why is even the region of my Store relevant, the code I enter is (as I assume) just supposed to check if it's a legal genuine copy (which it is, as I've said - there are 6 discs in the pack: 3 movies on 3 Blu-rays and 3 DVD containing these digital copies of them). If I own it, I think that's proof enough that I have the right to use it. I just don't get it. We have a new imac and have connected it to a VGA projector and have purchased a mini VGA convertor cable from the apple store, but now it changes the resolution once you change monitor in the system folder to mirrow. This is the only way we can get it to work. This there a problem with OS Lion.

You can disable it as a desktop in System Preferences > MIssion control > uncheck "Show Dashboard as a space".

Is there an email saved in your drafts or outbox folder? I suspect that Mail is continually trying to send it, and each time Google is rejecting the email message.
You can open the message and then delete it from your Outbox folder. Then try removing all @gmail email addresses from it and seeing whether you can send to the other folks. I suspect that will work.
With email, if an SMTP server *can* verify email addresses, sometimes it will and it will refuse to send messages. If a message has to be relayed across servers, no verification is done, and you'll get a bounce if an email address is bad.

To find a cheap version of PS is to locate an obsolete version only? Software surplus business may have some or check the obituary columns to see if any Photographers or Gaphic Designers have left some things behind?
Some options...enroll in a community college Multimedia class and you will not only have access to Photoshop, you'll have access to much more software for the price of the course. It will also qualify you as a student and you can get a discounted rate on the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription as well.
If you are only making "simple flyers" would not MS Word or OpenOffice software do the job for you? There are applications for that purpose and Photoshop is not the only way to skin this cat! Or you can always buy a box of Crayola's and make a pamphlet that way?
And as a bonus, you may learn something from the course you enroll in.

I have upgraded my iMac and now photos from before 2010 won't open?

I have bought a new iMac and have transferred my photos using an external HD. I copied the photo library and it updated it. All the thumbnails appear but when I select an image it just shows a warning triangle (although the thumbnails are available along the bottom). I have gone back to my old iMac and tried the rebuild options and have tried those on the new one too but to no avail. I can't seem to find the originals on either computer. The is a folder called Data and there are .jpg files in there but they are all very small e.g. 44kb.
I am very confused and also nervous that I have lost thousands of precious moments! Please help if possible.

That triangle appears when iPhoto has broken the file path or link to the orignal image file.
Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.

Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
