Why do Scheduling Agreements create multiple deliveries?

Hello SAP Experts,
We are on 4.7c. Our scheduling agreements automatically create deliveries; and I was wondering why instead of putting the scheduled lines onto one delivery, it automatically creates multiple deliveries for the scheduling agreements.
Could someone please explain this to me? Thank you for your time.
Best Regards,
WC

Hello,
Thank you for response.  I checked the settings and they are correct.
In addition, I checked to make sure the Scheduling Agreement Header Details had the "Order Combination" box checked, which will allow multiple scheduling agreements to be combined in one delivery.
Our scheduling agreement runs on the weekends where it automatically creates the deliveries for them.
My question is why do the scheduling agreements with the "Order Combination" box checked do not always put the scheduling agreements into one delivery. but separates them, when they are in the same automated run.
For example:
Scheduling Agreement 0001 through 0045 will be created on Delivery 100001, but Scheduling Agreements 0046 though 0048 will be created on Delivery 100002...and they both have the order combination selected.
Why is Scheduling Agreements 0046 through 0048, not automatically creating on Delivery 100001 as the other scheduling agreements?
Thank you for your time!
Best regards,
WC

  • Split the delivery or create multiple  deliveries

    Hi team,
Sale order stock is grater than Truck capacity.
We need a solution to either split the delivery; or create multiple deliveries at the time of delivery creation.
Manually we are doing calculations for pallets capacity and then doing loading still some quantity pending or some space pending
Is there any program that can split delivery via Sales order and create Outbound delivery through pallatization..
Any such scenarios you have please suggest.?
    Thanks in Advance
    SAP MM

    Hi,
Normally we can split the deliveries based on the following criteria
    1. Different delivery dates for line items.
    2. Different ship to parties for line items.
    3. Different routes for line items.
But in your above case the issue is regarding truck capacity for which the system doesn't have any information.  So you can manually create a new delivery by adjusting the existing one or if you feel the issue is going to repeat for different items in future also then you can go build a custom logic in the system to address the delivery split using a user exit.
    Thanks,

  • How to prevent from creating multiple deliveries per sales order

    Hi,
Appreciate your help on the below.,
I do not want the users to create multiple deliveries for a single sales order. They should only be allowed to create one delivery and it can either be a full delivery or a partial delivery.
Is there any possibility in configuration to do this? I checked the customer master configuration, but it is only for sales order line item.. I only need one delivery for the entire order, regardless of whether it included all line items or not.
If the user tries to create a second delivery for the same order, it should ideally give an error message and stop the system from creating the second delivery
    Appreciate your help.
    Thank you.

    Thanks Marian for your feedback.
I tried this again, however it still works only at item level.
Say i have a sales order, with 2 line items with 50 each.
Say i create an delivery for only the first line item for 20, delivery gets created.. It doesnt allow to create the delivery for rest of the 30 on that line item,
However if i try to create a delivery for the second line item, it allows and the delivery gets created.
I only want one single delivery for the entire order.
    Thanks,
    Keshini

  • Create multiple deliveries against the same customer return order

I want to create multiple deliveries against the same Customer return order. But once the RF transaction is run it closes all the lines.  We need to be able to receive multiple times against the same RA number and create different deliveries. Any ideas?
Will reward points to any helpful answers

are the deliveries being created by RF monitor ?
Or only picking is happening by RF?

  • Scheduling Agreement  with multiple line items of different plants

    Dear Gurus,
In all plants, delivery of goods is done through multiple plants under one sales order.
The system is given provision to create centralized sales order with multiple delivery plants but it fails at the time of execution.
Hence sales order of same customer has to be prepared three times which leads to lack of control at central office.
scheduling agreement is created and scheduled to deliver through multiple plants. While creating outbound delivery flashes error message as " Delivery split due to different shipping points"
    Please help me out.
    Regards,
    Anbu

    Hi Naveen,
I guess you would like to change the delivery adress in the BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI.
Here you can identify the delivery adress (partner function 00000027) line item by the field P_GUID. This P_GUID in the partner table (ET_PARTNER-P_GUID) consists the GUID of the SC line item (ET_ITEM-GUID).
When you know the line item GUID, you can find the SC line item number in the item table (ET_ITEM-NUMBER_INT) and you can see which is the first, second... line item of the SC.

  • Returnable packaging in scheduling agreements and inbound deliveries

    Hi all,
We are trying to make the following process work but are finding some problems.
We have packaging materials of type LEIH which we want to include in a scheduling agreement.
This we where able to do by using account assignment key "Z".
By doing this our vendors can send us an ASN where the packaging is included in the ASN in the same way as a normal material.
So we have a scheduling agreement that has the following 2 lines.
Line 1 --> A material of type SEMI
Line 2 --> A material of type LEIH
For the LEIH material a packaging account has been created in SAP for the vendor.
Based on the scheduling agreement we have created an inbound delivery with these 2 items (once process in working this inbound delivery will be created by the EDI message of the ASN).
Line 1 --> Has in the inbound delivery movement type 101
Line 2 --> Has in the inbound delivery movement type 501M for the packaging material.
Up till here all is as expected. Now when we open this inbound delivery in transaction MIGO both the line items are shown and get movement type 101 instead of Line 1 movement 101 and Line 2 movement 50M. So we are not able to post the GR via Migo, manually changing the movement type can be done but this gives an error message stating that the movement type differs from the PO.
If we post the GR via the inbound delivery then all works as it should but we would like a uniform way of posting GR for our users.
Any idea how we can get in MIGO movement 501M assigned to the packaging material as it is mentioned in the inbound delivery?
    Regards,
    Peter

Have you tried open item check. Below the dynamic check under risk category controls you ll find open item option. select it and system will also account for open deliveries in credit check. This might solve your problem.

  • Issue with Scheduling agreements created with reference to Contract

We create scheduling agreements only with reference to contracts. A contract may have multiple Scheduling agreements linked to it. Now the problem is that when a scheduling agreement is being modified, it is creating a lock to all the other scheduling agreements which refers to the same contract. So till the time the user is out of change mode in Scheduling agreement, no other user is able to perform any transactions pertaining to other scheduling agreements (referring to the same Contract)
Is there anyway that we can address this?? Please suggest.

The record locks are needed to avoid data inconsistencies. If 2 users would be able to have the same document open in update mode, then how can you decide which entry will be used  for a table update? And what would you tell the other person? (Oh sorry, another user was quicker, please start all over again)
In some high frequent transactions SAP has developed some options like late locks for good movements, but more often you have to take organization measures like educating the users, and maybe reducing the number of items in a document and creating more documents instead.
If it is a real big headache then you have to talk to SAP, have to explain the situation, and hope that they either have already a solution or even realize that it is not needed to lock all and can create a solution per OSS note.

  • Scheduling agreement created with reference to contract-Issue

    Hi all,
I had posted a query as how to update net price in the contract/scheduling agreement if the condition price is updated through inbound Idocs.I got the correct answer  as you need to run the report RM06ENP0/RM06ENP1 as per note 685117.
But now I am having a different issue;the scenario is like: A scheduling agreement is created with reference to contract. So the SA is linked to contract now.I am now going to change the condition price of SA through Inbound Idoc. After the updation ,the condition price gets changed in all cases.
In one server,I found that the net price gets updated and the link btn contract and SA is broken without running the report RM06ENP1(Ideal situation, this is what I want). In other server ,I found the net price is not getting updated,ie the link is not broken even after running the report RM06ENP1.
Can anybody tell me why the second situation is happening?

    Hi,
i have done ur scenario. According to ur scenario, quantity contract is created for 100 units may be kg, pc etc.. Then scheduling agreement is created with reference to that contract but for 200 units may be kg, pc etc.. Scheduling agreement is created without getting any error or warning message.
In the Next step, i.e. maintain delivery schedule( Tcode: ME38). U get the ERROR message as Scheduling agreement document number xxxxx is does not exist after entering scheduling agreement number in the initial screen of ME38.
if this information is useful for u, reward me according to ur usage.
    bye

  • Why can't I create multiple libraries? Shift & Click method is not working

I am trying to create another library on my PC. However, when I try the suggested method +(from the Start menu, choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes)+ I do not get a dialog or option to create a new library--my existing library just opens up. What might be causing this? I have Windows XP, and I'm using iTunes 7.6.

There is not a flag I know of in the app builder that will add that.  The only way I know of allowing multiple instances is to have the mentioned setting in the applications ini.
The ini should end up having at the least
    [app name]
    allowmultipleinstances=true
You should still be able to have your custom information in the ini.

  • Why does InDesign files create multiple boxes the size of the document when exporting as a PDF?

Sometimes I need to place customer-supplied files into Illustrator templates to prepare for printing. If they have been originally created in InDesign and I need to make some adjustments in the file, I cannot isolate individual elements in the file. If I try to delete the box, half of the whole design may be deleted.

This is an answer I posted to a similar question. The context isn't InDesign, but the kernel of the issue is the same: clipping masks. There are any number of recipes for producing PDF's and most of them result in a stack of media-sized clipping masks, or so that's how they parse when opened in Illustrator.
PDF's output from drafting packages and other "foreign" sources, when opened for editing in Illustrator, quite often contain clipping masks and compound paths based on component associations that Illustrator (and its users) wouldn't typically make or recognize. Your drawing will come into Illustrator behaving like one big group that won't ungroup. That's because it isn't a group; it's a clipping mask based on the extents of the drawing. The first thing I do is select all, (Ctrl+A), then release clipping mask, (Ctrl+Alt+7). Pressing (Ctrl+Alt+7) repeatedly often reveals that there are other clipping masks nested within the large outer one. Most of the time, you can release all the masks this way without changing the appearance of anything. Each released mask usually leaves behind an invisible frame. (no stroke or fill), that you can delete or leave, depending on how intensive your editing will be. The release of nested masks may also result in groups and sub-groups that I also like to release similarly by pressing Ctrl+A then Ctrl+Shift+G repeatedly. Once you've done this, you should be able to select and treat any of the individual components on the artboard as desired, although you may still run into some compound path items that will hinder your selection process. These can also be released, but you'll want to be more cautious with respect to how it might alter appearances, especially if there are filled paths involved.

  • How are deliveries automatically created from scheduling agreement?

How are deliveries automatically created from the schedule line of the scheduling agreement? Can anybody explain this step by step? Can we use the code VL10BATCH for this purpose? If we can, how is this code used?
    Thanks in advance.

    hi
A customer scheduling agreement is an outline agreement with the customer containing delivery quantities and dates. These are then entered as schedule lines in a delivery schedule. You can either create schedule lines when you create the scheduling agreement or you can create them later.
You fulfill a scheduling agreement by creating the deliveries in the schedule as they become due. You process deliveries for a scheduling agreement in exactly the same way as you process a normal delivery. After you have carried out the delivery, the system updates the Delivered quantity field in the scheduling agreement item with the delivery quantity.
The scheduling agreement is used as a basis for delivering a material. The customer sends in scheduling agreement releases, referred to as delivery schedules, at regular intervals to release a quantity of the material.
    Document Types
To configure document types for scheduling agreements, choose Sales -> Sales Documents -> Sales Document Header -> Define sales document types in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
The R/3 System contains the following document types for component suppliers:
LZ - Scheduling agreement with delivery schedules (no external agents)
LZM - Scheduling agreement with delivery orders
LK - Scheduling agreement with delivery schedules (external agents)
ED - Delivery by external agent (consignment issue)
    EDKO - External agent correction
RZ - Scheduling agreement returns (no external agents)
KAZU - Consignment pick-up for external agents
KRZU - Consignment returns for external agents
    Item Categories
To configure item categories for scheduling agreements, choose Sales -> Sales Documents -> Sales Document Item -> Define item categories in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
The system determines the following item categories for the related document types in
documents containing materials with item category group NORM:
Item category LZN for scheduling agreement type LZ
Item category LZMA for scheduling agreement type LZM
Item category LKN for scheduling agreement type LK
Item category KEN for document type ED
Item category EDK for positive corrections (or the manual alternative EDK1 for
negative corrections) for document type EDKO
Item category REN for document type RZ
Item category KAN for document type KAZU
Item category KRN for document type KRZU
    Schedule Line Categories
To configure schedule line categories for scheduling agreements, choose Sales -> Sales Documents -> Schedule lines -> Define or Assign schedule line categories in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
The R/3 System contains the following schedule line categories for component suppliers:
L1, BN, L2, and CN for item category LZN
E4, E0, E5, and BN for item category LKN
L2 for item category LZMA (standard for delivery order processing)
    Schedule Line Types
To configure schedule line types for scheduling agreements, choose Sales -> Sales Documents -> Scheduling Agreements with Delivery Schedules -> Define schedule line types in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
    Creating Scheduling Agreements
To create a scheduling agreement with delivery schedules:
    1. In the Sales menu http://Ext. choose Scheduling agreement ->Create.
    2. Enter scheduling agreement type LK (standard) or LZ (external agents) and the
    relevantorganizational data.
    3. Choose ENTER.
    4. Enter the following data:
    Sold-to or ship-to party number
    Purchase order or closing number
    Material or customer material number
You can use the Description field to identify the scheduling agreement. For
    example,
you could enter the model year for a particular production series.
The system allows up to 35 digits for a customer material number.
    Rounding quantity
    Usage
Choose Goto -> Header -> Sales to enter the usage at header level, or Goto ->
Item-> Sales A to enter it at item level. The system proposes usage S, for series, as default in both cases.
    Planning indicator
    Choose Goto -> Header ->Sales.
    Target quantity
Mark an item and choose Goto -> Item -> Sales A
    Partners
For scheduling agreements with external agents , choose Goto -> Header
->Partners to enter the external agent as forwarding agent and special stock partner
    on the partner function screen.
    5. Create a delivery schedule
Mark an item in the scheduling agreement and choose Goto -> Item -> <Delivery
    schedule>. Enter:
A delivery schedule number and date
The cumulative quantity received by the customer
The last delivery confirmed by the customer
A schedule line with date, time, and quantity
To enter additional data in the delivery schedule, choose DlvSch.Hdr (delivery schedule header).
    configuration:
    img->SD->Sales->sales document->scheduling agreements with delivery schedules->
    step1: define schedule line types
schedule line types are not schedule line categories. Schedule line types are used for information purpose only.
stds are 1. fixed date 2. backlog 3. immediate requirement
    4. estimate
step2: maintain planning delivery sched. instruct/splitting rules
The planning delivery schedule is an internal delivery schedule used to plan requirement s more efficiently.  It is sub divided into 3 parts

  • Unable to create single delivery through scheduling agreement - MM37

    Dear All,
In our scenario, we are creating scheduling agreement with tcode - ME37 for multiple material and for each material we create multiple delivery creation date schedule with past date (ME38).
Then we create delivery with VL10D, we put scheduling agreement number in purchase order tab - purchase order field & Execute.
It creates multiple deliveries but we want to have single delivery.
We implemented SAP note - 377501 , but is is still not working.
    Kindly advice,
    Regards,
    Bhushan.

    Dear Lakshmipathi,
    Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I searched the forum & got list of reasons for delivery split but wasn't able to identify exact reason.
But first I want to confirm,
    1. Whether is it correct process to create delivery through VL10D for scheduling agreement (ME37) ?
    2. Also to overcome delivery split, we implemented SAP note - 377501 but did not worked.
Therefore I am thinking to implement SAP Note -  386340, Kindly advice.

  • Backorder scheduling creating multiple schedule lines

    Hi,
We have one issue wherein Backorder scheduling is creating multiple schedule lines for the same date.
I would lke to know how to approach this issue, what all needs to be checked in config to prevent it from creating multiple schedule lines.
    Thanks

    Rajendra,
You didn't mention what kind of order, but the first things to try are the same regardless.
Use an availability checking type in your material master that uses daily requirements, similar to SAP standard 01.  You can review the checking types in OVZ2, use one that has a "Total Sales" entry of B.
You can also change the default confirmation behavior.  OVZJ, set Avail check rule to "blank"  or B "full delivery" if you are talking about sales orders.

  • Delivery Schedule in Scheduling agreement

    Hi
We have a  scheduling agreement  created  in MM in ME31L  for subcontract process .
Delivery schedule mentioned for first two line items are  5/07/2008 .
Deliver schedule mentioned for 3rd line item is 02/08/2008 .
Due to this different requirement dates, always delivery split happens .
Regarding this , I request you to clarify below points .
    1.     I understand these delivery schedule were mentioned when this scheduling agreement was created . Afterwards there is no updating happened for delivery schedules .
Afterwards many deliveries have been generated with reference to these scheduling agreement , user is creating delivery every month with reference to this  scheduling agreement . I mean how it is possible  to create many deliveries with one schedule date .where as in SD , we need to update schedule lines always.
    Thanks In Advance

    Excellent information !
I understood what you have mentioned .
Just I need your clarifications for my below queries to fix this issue .
There are 6 line items in this scheduling agreement .
For 3 line items , delivery schedule date is 02/08/2008 . for another 2 line items, delivery schedule is 05/07/2008 . due to this different delivery schedules for line items  in scheduling agreement . whenever  user creates delivery , delivery split is happening .
In order to avoid this problem , can ask user to change delivery schedule for another 2 line items to 02/08/2008 from 05/07/2008 . ?
If user change this delivery schedule  for this line items , is there any ramification in anyway ?.
    Thanks In Advance
