Why does Adobe not care about its users?

I had tech support take over my computer but unwilling to help with adobe flash and reader because they are free. Keep in mind that I do have a trail CC, that I will not re-new. I waited for three hours, and when I asked if there was a cc similar that he could help me with all he said was no. I am in such despair.

  • Why does apple not care about it's customers? you can't contact itunes when you buy an app that doesn't work or doesn't live up it what is advertised

I'm very frustrated. I bought Text'ndrive2 and it doesn't work but there is no way to contact Itunes. You always have to go throught Apple. There are many apps that do not live up the their adversitment. why doesn't Apple care about their customers?

Apple tests every single app for basic functionality (does it start up?, does it do what the developer says it will do?).  Additionally, each and every app is checked to insure that the app doesn't do bad things (no malware) or use private, unpublished APIs.  If any of these requirements aren't met, the app gets rejected.  That doesn't mean some apps aren't worth paying for but that's up to the marketplace to decide.

Why does Adobe not support tablets or Kindle fire?

    You have it backwards.
Tablets (Kindle, Galaxy, iPad) don't support Flash.
    Chronologically:
2008 (March) - Apple® releases the first iPhone, using iOS®. Steve Jobs is insistent and adamant that iOS® is NOT compatible with Flash® and NEVER WILL BE. Jobs' reasoning is that playing Flash® content is processor consumptive and it drains batteries, thus shortening the life of them in mobile devices. In six years, that hasn't changed. Not for the iPhone®, iPad® or iPod® Touch™. It never will change and there never will be a Flash Player® for iOS®.
2008 (September) - Google® introduces Android™ to compete with iOS®, for people who don't want to pay what Apple® is asking for an iPhone®. Android®, unlike its Apple® counterpart IS compatible with Flash®.
2012 (June) - Android™ (Google®) announces the end of support for Flash® with Android™ 4.3. Going forward NO Android™ devices will be compatible with Flash®, but older versions on older devices can still be loaded with "legacy" builds still available from Adobe®. Android™ (Google®) cites the same reason Apple® did for the decision to end support of Flash®. Adobe® continues to release security patches to Flash Player® for Android™ until September 2013, announcing the "end of life" for Android™ Flash® September 10.

  • Creative Cloud - Does Adobe REALLY Care About Customers?

I hope the staff at Adobe are reading these forum posts.
    First question: the following quote
As far as the future of CS applications, in his Adobe MAX keynote, David Wadhwani said, 'We have no plans' to continue perpetual licenses. We are not ruling that out in the future.
Just exactly what is meant by this statement? Is Adobe already looking for a back door if the Create Cloud doesn't pan out? I really would like to know what this means. It sounds ominous and dubious and it sends mixed messages.
As far as the Creative Cloud model goes, is this really a benefit to your customers? I can see it might make Adobe a lot of money (if you don't lose a vast majority of your customer base) but how does it really benefit your customers? Your loyal customers? The customers that made you the rich company that you are today.
Speaking for myself, I do not use all the programs that will be available in the cloud on a regular basis. During the summer when I don't have classes, I don't use some programs at all. But I have to keep paying whether I use them or not. If I stop paying, I will lose access to my software. How is that a good thing for me?  For the majority of your customers? You think because we pay a monthly fee that most people won't equate that we are having to fork over more than $300 a year? In some cases over $600 a year. And it never stops. How is that good for the majority of your customers?
Do I really need to have the latest software constantly? No, I don't. But you are now forcing the issue whether I want it or not. Forcing your customer to do something does not seem like you really care about me.  About us.
What about my students? We have hundreds of students that go through our Adobe software classes each semester. Every student told me they would not go with the Cloud, either because they don't have the money or they were going to protest Adobe's "money grabbing scheme" (one student's actual quote). The students sure don't think Adobe cares about them. If the students stop taking the classes because of the software access, then we start cutting sections. Does Adobe care about that? I'm sure no, but think about those hundreds of students each semester that will no longer be learning to use Adobe software.
Adobe is putting a stranglehold on its customers and the customers are going to say  enough is enough.  Perhaps new software (open source?) will emerge to take the place of Adobe. Perhaps people using InDesign will go back to QuarkXPress. Perhaps enough of these former Adobe customers will force Adobe to check their hubris and greed at the door. But maybe not. The world will move on, one way or another.
One thing I am supremely sure about is Adobe has got it really, really wrong on the Creative Cloud strategy.
BTW, you might want to read the following link entitled Adobe Creative Cloud:  Lopsided Legal Agreement. It is not pretty:

I hope this occurs across the globe with students ("potential" future Adobe customers) whom may be hindered in their monetary abilities but not in seeing the truth towards what it being placed upon them by Adobe concerning the Cloud mirage. This is a great opportunity for educators to truly educate their students about Adobe.

  • Why does no one care about loyal customers???

I canNOT believe that I have to take this issue to the top of the company!  I ask for one thing after being a customer for more than a decade.  I ordered 3 new phones for them - we decided to keep 2 and exchange the 3rd in this 2 week deceptive no worry time period.  I spoke with customer service over and over ad nauseum.  finally after the time had expired and there was still no resolution - I was told that i had the phone more than 2 weeks.  Of course I had!!!!  I called in almost every day during that allotted period and kept getting passed around to supposed supervisors but really God only knows where.  Finally I was told that I would be getting a new phone via mail and could simply send the original back once it arrived.  After about 1 week I phoned in as the phone had yet to arrive.  All of the sudden there was nothing they could do - who did I speak with - what exactly did they say to you... i explained the entire situation over and over day after day.  I felt pathetic.  But I thought for sure that they would do the right thing.  By this time it had been over a month.  The most frustrating thing - the phone I want to send back was not as nice as the one I ordered.  It had 4G and was brand new - I wanted the iphone 4 not even the 5 just the 4 (that was the make and model of the 2 other in my order)!  I did not realize at the time that the apple version of a phone would benefit me more as being a Special Education teacher all of our equipment is of this company,  I told more than one employee via telephone that I have 2 ipads for my classroom.  They have great apps to serve students with special needs.  Budgets being what they are a few of my assistance allow the children to use their phones so more students can have access.   Even with this they still said no - seriously - NO!  I could not believe it so I headed up the management chain.  I finally stalled when I came in contact with a woman name LUCY!  She lead me on for weeks that she would be able to fix the problems and apologized.  Great, right? NOPE - she finally called back and said she was unable to locate the correct documentation of my phone calls to Verizon and that it was my fault.  She actually blamed me for the poor documentation.  As if what I was supposed to ask them to send me a copy of what they wrote? She then tried to blame it on APPLE and not verizon. I have never been so disgusted.  I am still trying to have them make this right and for the foreseeable will continue to do so.  I dont know why but I actually feel betrayed - like how dare you do this to me - but then thankfully for rational side kicks in reminding me this is just business - bad business - but business.  And now I realize thanks to Lucys pathetic attempts to justify her poor skill at service that I have become nothing but a case number - not even a name.  It is infuriating!  Hundreds of dollars a month for more than a decade - and this is how they treat loyalty.  Who ever if anyone actually reads these - FIX IT!!!

Part of the way Verizon makes its money is by dragging out issues like this so you are stuck with the phone you originally purchased. That is one reason why I do NOT buy anything from Vreizon Online or over the phone. I will go to either the corporate store or even lately a very trustworthy Third Party Reseller (actually have much better service here than anything Verizon)
That said what I would do is the following.
Contact Customer Relations (not customer service)
Contact the BBB (although they will not do much for you but it will log a complaint for Verizon)
Contact The Federal Trade Commission (they do not like false advertising or cases where the company tries to drag thing beyond the specified trade time)
If nothing gets resolved there, go to a third party reseller and find out the following
    1) if they have any slightly used iPhone 4's for sale. My local Third Party reseller usually has a few for under $200
    2) ask the third party reseller if they can in fact sell the phone you are trying to change here as they can probably get you the 200 back or close to it
    3) Tell all of your friends and co workers about your issues with Verizon so they do not get sucked into the trap as well.
As a side note, I have a ton of respect for what you do and will help any way possible including checking my local third party reseller that I now exclusively use to see if they have one they can do. I will put you into contact with them or whatever is necessary.  I have a son in the Special Ed Program now for the last 12 years and the program has changed his life completely and I owe that to the dedication of the teachers.

  • Why does Flash not work with multiple user-accounts on a single PC?

Running XP-Professional (MediaCenter), SP3 and using IE 8, NIS 2010 (disabled during the installation of FP), 3 different user accounts on a single PC
As user A (admin) installed FP ver.  10.0.45.2, and it works fine under the admin account, however, when logging-on as user B.  FP is not recognized (?) and user B is asked to intall FP agian, however, the installation fails.
After removing the FP installation (as being user A) and then install FP as user B (who has also admin rights) , FP works fine for user B, however for user A, FP is not installed/recoginzed (?), and user A is being asked to install FP, however that installation the fails, and so on and so on , . . . . .
Any suggestion to resolve this irritating behaviour?

  • Why does the Apple company not care about its customers enough to repay them for lost music that is the company's fault?

I recently updated my iPod touch software and I have been a happy apple user for years but today I updated and my back-up file was corrupted by the end of the process making me lose all of my music and apps. I know that the apps are easy to get back but I have spent $100s if not $1000s of dollars on music in the iTunes Store and now there is no way for me to get ANY of my music back other than what I have locally on this computer. Does anyone know anyway I could get my music back or will Apple give me any credit for all of my music that I purchased? This is very frustrating and now I don't have any music. Thanks Apple.

If you are in the U.S., then you can get the music back, just like apps.
It is your responsibility to backup your music and to make sure that backup is good.  How is it that you have come to believe that your failed backup is Apples fault?

  • Verizon does not care about its customers

I have had verizon fios for quite a while now, the service itself is great but... I am a litle tired of the hackers, not sure if they are outside hackes or if this is an inside job....
ovh.net is constanly in my logs

    192.99.193.56.
I changed the ip on my computer every couple of days or so, but within 15 to 20 min my logs start to fill. I contacted the FCC and complained to my state, I get a call back from the great folks at verizon, but I end up with tech advising me that it is impossitble to hack into my computer, and maybe I have malware and I need to purchase their antivirus. I have found numerous articles about how to hack the verizon router, and a friend of mine has proved that they work. Folks I would suggest if you have the knowledge or a friend that does make a passive internet tap, and sit back and watch the traffic that comes through. After doing this I was no longer stunned when my logs would suddenly reset by themselves.

It is best to do the factory reset before downloading the update, because some of the apps that you have downloaded may conflict with the update.  If you are having troubles with the new update I suggest you backup your applications, and then complete a factory reset.
The applications that come preinstalled on your device that you mentioned have no affect on your phone or its battery life, unless you have clicked and installed them to your device.

  • Why does Adobe not inform customers of recurrent charges

I found an odd charge on my credit card this month from Adobe.  Tried to call the 1-800 number and there was no answer.   Called my credit card company, they tried to contact Adobe and again, no answer.   My credit card company told me it was a charge from Adobe Cloud.   I didn't recognize it, so we agreed to process it as fraud.  Then I find a chat page on the Adobe site, and a rep informs me I purchased a software back in 2012 that converts Word to PDF documents and, guess what,  it's a recurring annual charge.   So I went into all my spam messages, and all my emails and found no emails from Adobe informing me that this "renewal" charge was coming.   There was no receipt of the charge either when it was processed on 4/2/14.  I received no notifications whatsoever.  I told the rep that, and he responded that he could send me a confirmation email message now.   But, it's too late now.   I already processed it as fraud.  My computer security company always emails me ahead of time if they are going to re-charge my credit card for an annual purchase, and then they send me an email receipt verifying it went through.  Why doesn't Adobe do this?   If I had seen that, I might not have processed the fraud charge.  As it is, I had no choice.  What gives?

  • Photoshop CC banding issue, what is the fix?  And why does Adobe not address this?

I am having a issue with banding.  I paint in my backgrounds but instead of a nice smooth graduation I get banding.  This occurs in 8 bit and 16bit.  I have changed the drawing mode to basic.  I have even photographed a graduated background and it still has banding. Here is my computer info.  Thanks.
    Processor  2 x 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Memory  12 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512 MB
    Software  OS X 10.9.2 (13C1021)

There have been several others who have tried to illustrate a problem like what you describe, and it's been traditionally very difficult to distinguish between what we expect to see and something that's abnormal.  There is not just a single identified problem that fits your description.
The best you can do is be very, very thorough in your descriptions, including exactly what you're doing in order to create an image where you see the problem.  Include as many screen grabs as you can, concentrating on showing what you consider a good result vs. bad.
    Good luck.

  • Why does adobe not allow use of previous versions of programs

The latest and greatest is good for someone who does work all by them self,
I'm about to start freelancing and all my clients are still on CS5. I don't want to have to shell out money to buy the CS5.
I know you can export indesign files as idml files, but there are text issues which makes it unfeasible to use for long docs.
will this policy change? or never?

    Hi Pu Koh,
We do plan to have this available for Creative Cloud members but starting with the current version and only versions that were available when you subscribed.

  • Why does adobe not let you manage the computers your accounts are set up with from the online service?

?? They expect you to deauthorize from that computer, but if you sell that computer you don't have access to it anymore. HELLO?? Anyone at Adobe try thinking that far ahead or is it done on purpose to screw the customers? I have to active creative cloud memberships but only one computer using it with 4 computers signed up with only 1 actively using it because I don't have access to the other ones to deactivate the computers creative cloud is active on. Adobe recommends reinstalling creative cloud and deactivating, but here's a newsflash, if you don't own those computers anymore YOU CANT DO IT. It is not that hard to activate and deactivate computers "FROM THE CLOUD" especially on a service called "CREATIVE CLOUD" because Microsoft and apple do it with Office 365 and any Mac product. I take it my only solution is to cancel my credit card??

Before complaining that something can't be done, a simple question of HOW to do something would be better... there IS a way to deactivate a computer you don't have access to physically
