Why don't my graphics bullets print in IE?

I cannot get graphic bullets to print. They look fine on screen (IE9), but don't print to a PDF or hard copy. Tried using different graphics. No difference. See http://www.todeka.co.uk/Print%20test/Print%20Test/index.htm
They do print from Firefox!

If you provided a link to a project, please send me that link direct.
However, I am confused as Willam's reply suggests you and he have looked at this offline so presumably you emailed him direct as well as me. Also he has indicated the issue is using a background image in the style.
I'm thinking you could get around that by creating a number of list styles in Rh, each with a different image.

Why don't my graphics appear in local preview anymore?

As recently a yesterday, graphics were displaying fine in local browser preview. Today I synced with Adobe and installed an update to Dreamweaver CC, now I don't get graphics displayed in my browser previews.
I got a message that this doesn't work unless I'm using a testing server--I'm not--and that I should set up previews to use a temporary copy. I tried that. It "works" but I don't care for it. It changes the URL.
So, I designated my remote server as a testing server--two check marks for my FTP server in site setup. This also works--I see graphics--but again I don't care for it. Am I now required to use a testing server on my local PC to see graphics? I'm not developing 'dynamic sites' with PHP or or other server-side features. I'm fairly new to this... I like previewing locally.

I never found the solution to my problem. My other sites don't display this problem, so I surmise that the problem was my site, not DW. Early on I had deleted the site by deleting the folder in Windows explorer, rather than deleting it within Dreamweaver > Manage Sites. I then recreated the site with the same folder and site name. Perhaps this confused an internal database in DW?
I've just recreated the site with a new folder name, and the problem appears to be gone.
So, my problem is resolved.
However, the problem began AFTER I did a Sync with Adobe CC and installed an update to DW yesterday. I know that the Sync reset some things in my setup, because I accepted your cloud's settings over my own to resolve reported "conflicts". I noticed other changes.
The file extensions and paths in my code were fine. Link checker reported no problems. Links were set relative to root folder. However I encountered the problem as well when I tried setting them relative to to the document.
When I set up a remote FTP server, and left test server unchecked under Advanced Setting, I wasn't getting graphics in local Preview. When I checked both Remote server and Test server, everything was fine on my remote site but, of course, I couldn't Preview the site locally. The preview took me out to the remote server.
At one point I was getting an error message that content could not be viewed locally, that I should either set up a test server or select temporary files for previews--which worked but the urls were changed.

Why is my password required for printing?

Hi everyone,
I just got a brand new Mac Pro and I’m a bit puzzled about some of the security loops it makes me jump through. I didn’t mess much with the security settings, besides having to fix some permissions to share files with my MacBook, so I feel I’m unlikely to have caused this behavior.
I was thus surprised (and annoyed) when I attempted to print and was asked each time to enter my password. The printer is connected to a Windows XP machine on a home network. I regularly use this printer with my MacBook and never have to enter any password. I must admit that there’s a chance I may have been asked for my password the first time I printed, and decided to store it in my keychain, and this could explain why I’m never asked for it. I just don’t remember.
Nevertheless, my question is whether it is standard for a new Mac Pro to ask me for my password when printing on such a setup. Is the only remedy to this to include the password in the keychain?
By the way, storing passwords for printers, web sites, etc., in a keychain is pretty unsafe unless access to my computer is password-protected, right?
Comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I am surprised that printing asks you for your password. I have printed for a long time BOTH on USB AND wirelessly via my WPA2 hidden network. Never has the printer asked me for a password! On a PC, I would suspect a virus, but I have not heard of that for a Mac (there only about 40 as opposed to 10's of thousands on PC's).
The only explanation, I would be able to think of is if it a shared network printer because yours "belongs" to another machine (PC); so it maybe that it is not your mac asking for a password to print, but your mac asks you to access your (hopefully) secure PC. And, yes, you probably stored your password on your macbook keychain. why don't you try and print again, and check the "details" of what keychain actually wants (it's 3/4 down the window and click on details).
Mac only normally asks for passwords for installation of programs, maybe in mail receiving/sending problems, or airport or similar.

Why don't bullets print?

I'm running RoboHelp 9.0.2.271 and I'm generating output using Adobe AIR browser based help and FlashHelp Pro. I'm sure this is a user error, but I can't figure out why my bullets used to show up when topics were sent to the printer, but now the bullets are missing when topics are printed. The bullets look fine in the Design view, the RH preview, and in the generated output--they just won't print.
So far I've:
Compared the current CSS file with the CSS file from a project with bullets that do print. No discrepancies were readily apparent.
Copied a bullet icon that was successfully printed (in another project) to the project in question. Edited the styles to reference the test bullet. The test bullet displayed correctly, but still didn't print.
Does anyone have an idea what might cause such behavior?

If I generate browser based AIR help from your project, the bullets print as they should. I cannot test FlashHelp Pro as I do not have RoboHelp Server - you do realise that is a requirement for the Pro versions of OLH?
It could be a printer problem, have you tested on more than one printer?
The other thing that could be wrong is that both the list style and the paragraph style specify the bullet image.

Only the LI style need specify the image so try deleting that line from the paragraph style.

In the end I need to get a binding the printer - the value (not the name) of the port. In Win32_Printer there is no such parameter, and there is no information about the printer in Win32_TcpIpPrinterPort. I wanted to connect them through port name but they
don't match.

Can FW CS3 be used for graphic for printing?

I am very familiar with FW but I do not like Photoshop,
however I have both I preffer to use FW. As I have seen on one
presentation new FW CS3 has CMYK pallete so my question is: can FW
CS3 be used for preparation of graphic for printing or what are the
obstacles? After preparing images in FW I will use InDesign for
text or maybe the text in FW is wector and maybe I could use FW
including text and not to use INDEsign far small projects? Does
anyone has any experience with this subject?

Fireworks does not operate or export in CMYK color space. It
was
developed for screen images only, and operates and exports in
RGB color
space. It is not recommended that you use it in preparation
of images
for print. You mentioned that you don't like photoshop. You
might like
Illustrator better.

I got the error message:
The document could not be printed
I googled this error message and used the following
solution that worked i.e. it then printed successfully.
Edit > Preferences
Category: Security(Enhancement) 'Enable Protected Mode at Startup'
It was checked, changed it to unchecked.
Category: Documents 'View documents in PDF/Mode'
It was set to 'Only for PDF/A'
Set it to 'Never'
Exited Adobe Reader and restart it. Then it printed.
I had a look on another computer system (Adobe Reader XI Version 11.0.10
and MS Window 7) and on this different computer I could print
without doing the above two changes.
I'm a bit puzzled. Why preferences on one system were not
needed on a different system?

Here is an elaborate method of troubleshooting this problem. There may be a simpler method if anybody wants to suggest one.
There is a general technique that is helpful in this situation. I can't give you complete instructions here, and I haven't tested this with regard to bluetooth devices, but here's the gist of it.
Create a second log-on account for your music projects. Configure it so that when you log in to the new music account, the drivers needed for the Bluetooth devices don't load. You do this in System Preferences: Accounts.
When it's time to do music, log out of your usual account and onto the new one.
When you install drivers for any peripheral, you have the option of installing them "for all users" or only for the user account that is active during the installation.
This governs whether the drivers go in root/library or root/Users/your name/library.
If drivers are in root/library, they will load whenever the Mac is booted up and will run for all users.
But if drivers are loaded in root/Users/your name/library, they will only load if you log in as "your name". If you have a second account called root/Users/music account/, and you log in under that, the drivers in "your name" will not load. Get it?
To get this working right you need to be knowledgeable about moving or deleting files in the /library/ directory and subdirectories, and you need to be careful because you can unwittingly cause some damage if you are not careful.
There is also the root/System/library directory, and in general you should never mess around with anything in there or you might hose your system.
In summary, I would start by using the installer programs for your BlueTooth devices and DE-installing all drivers. Reboot. Log back in as your usual user account. Then RE-install each driver and see if the installer program gives you the OPTION to installl for all users or just for this user. Choose the latter. Then log on to your new Music account and see if the problems go away.

I have a document open. I clic print, then i select 'more options' to print a partiel view (or 'active view') of the document. But i want to have it 100%. When i choose the size of the document, if i select 'adjust' the scale is 73%. If a select 'real size' then i have shades at both end so i don't have the entire page. If i choose 'reduce pages to ...' i get a 73% scale and if i select personnalized scale (100%) there is still shades at both end. So what do i change to get a 100% active view? On the late version i never had that problem. Thank you.

Why don't 64bit versions run on my 64-bit computer?

I have a Creative Cloud subscription. 64bit versions will not run on my 64bit machine although the 32bit versions will work. I have Windows 7 Home Premium running on Intel i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67 GHz, 12 GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce GT 220 graphics card. Why don't the 64bit versions run?

The programs start to launch and then fail. They get as far as the welcome image and sometimes also the message from Adobe to participate in the product improvement program. But they never actually launch successfully. The error message is from Windows and states: "A problems caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". When I click okay, the error message goes away and I have never received a solution of any kind.
Please help if you have any idea what it may be.

Why don't apple invent an iPad Note with a pen like Samsung Note? we really new one from apple design specially students.

I do not understand? You can readily use a stylus with an iPad now (I do) and there are many note taking apps that allow free form handwriting and drawing, (TopNotes, Notebook+, Notes Plus to name just three I am familiar with). There are also several apps that do handwriting recognition and convert your printed or written words to text (I have WritePad for that, works very well).

I don't think you can connect a printer since you won't have the printer drivers. I use FingerPrint from collobos.com to print to my non-AirPrint printers.
