Why hasen't Itunes been updated from the ground up? I would love to use Itunes as my be all and end all entertainment player. That would include playing hard media such as DVDs and Blu Rays.
I would just like to know why Itunes isn't the be all/end all when it comes to being the center of anyone's home entertainment system?
I would also like to know why Itunes hasn't changed ANY in many years?

It has changed and it is bloated enough as it is. Since the early days they have added Ping, Match, Genius, a whole media store interface, concomitant movie playing, the whole syncing business with a multitude of i-devices.
There is no need to add a DVD player since DVD Player stands alone quite nicely as it is. Additionally Apple is phasing out DVDs (note the demise of iDVD, all software now being downloads only, and the disappearance of DVD drives from newer models) since of course you're supposed to just get your movies from the iTunes Store.

Why's my podcast been removed from the iTMS?
I've set up a college podcast, called edPod, and we've so far recorded only a preview episode. Being the eager beaver I am, I submitted my feed to the iTunes Music Store.
Within a few hours, I had received an email from '[email protected]', saying the following:
"This is to inform you that your podcast has been removed from the iTunes Music Store because of a technical problem with your feed.
If your problem can be resolved, you can fix it in your RSS feed, and then re-publish your podcast to the Music Store."
That would be fine... if I knew what was wrong with my feed! I've looked at the apple podcast feed guidelines (http://phobos.apple.com/static/iTunesRSS.html) - and I can't see anything 'abusive' about my feed compared to their example.
Maybe you've been through the same experience, and could lend a hand? My podcast feed is http://www.kedst.ac.uk/edpod/edpod.xml
I'm totally at a loss as to what's wrong with my feed. Can anyone help?

However, I'm not too sure about why my feed is utf-8 while the server is ASCII. The college is in charge of the server, I just upload files to it! :P
I can see that the second line contains a "DTDs" rather than "dtds"... but since I use the application "Podcast Maker" to construct my rss feed - if I change the xml file on the server, will PodcastMaker overwrite it with the wrong information again the next time I update my feed? I suppose I will have to try it and find out! Also, Apple's own example has a capital DTDs... so surely that can't be the reason my podcast has been rejected?

Why can't I get updates from the app store
why can't I update my apps? It always ask for the password and then goes right back to update.
Try signing out of iTunes & App Store then signing back in.
Settings->iTunes & App Store. Tap on your Apple ID then select sign out
Restart your iPad
Now, open Settings->iTunes & App Store - sign back in.
See if you can update now.
if not try Settings->General->Reset->Reset All Settings
You won't lose any data but will have to log back into your wifi networks again,

"mail has not been downloaded from the server" messages......
About 2 weeks ago I started seeing "mail has not been downloaded from the server" messages popping up when I attempt to both new mail and e-mails that I have already read. I usually don't have any problems when I first launch the program, but after a few minutes running I get this message when I try to open any e-mail.
The message from "---" <[email protected]> concerning “RE: S8-04 pps sample package” has not been downloaded from the server. You need to take this account online in order to download it.
I know that the program is running online because it continues to show me new e-mails that come in.
What should I do?Your OS detail provided indicates you are running 10.4.7 and Sasso's OS detail provided is 10.3.9.
The MBOX Breaker script does not work with Tiger mailboxes which are different from the mailbox structure used with previous Mail.app versions and the link you provided includes instructions for Jaguar or Panther Mail, not Tiger Mail. My Mac Mini doesn't recognize my Avengers DVD--it keeps saying "Supported disc not available." I've tried other DVD's which work, but not this one. itunes and everything else has been updated to the newest versions. Help? Also...It doesn't recognize the digital copy DVD.
I have ALL the exact same symptoms as on my home computer.
It sure sounds to me like something on the iPod is broken. If it's under warranty then I would send it back for repair. If not, check out some of the web repair services, such as iPodResQ etc. -
I have recently started to edit footage taken on a Sony HD Camcorder using iMove 11.
Uploading the .m2ts file was no problem straight from the camera to iMovie, but I (stupidly) assumed that I could burn an HD DVD from iMovie/iDVD to view on a DVD player. I've done a bit of internet research to find out why the quality of the DVD is so bad i.e. SD rather than HD and I think I understand it. Just.
Further searching to find out our to convert AVCHD/.m2ts to either HD DVD or Blu-ray has boiled my brain. So much stuff I read was a couple of years old so I wasn't sure what is possible.
Can anyone tell me how I get to the point where I can upload the .m2ts to the iMac, edit the footage and burn a Blu-Ray or HD DVD?

I don't think that this was the solution as a result, but thanks for the suggestion. To confirm, my Easy set up is HD / AVCHD Apple 1920 x1080i60, the only thing I can think I did differently compared to yesterday is that I shut my Mac down having changed the Easy setup. Previously, I only changed the easy setup then closed FCE4 down.

You copy them from your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.

Before I updated my iPod I had all of the songs to an album that I bought on iTunes. After I updated my iPod I only have 5 of those songs from the album. I would like to know how I can get the rest of the songs cause I already paid for the album and I went on my computer and it said that I have to pay for them even though I already paid for the whole album. I updated my iphone 4S with iOS 6.1.3 and now I cannot retreive or send my e-mails. We have an Exchange server at work. I still receive the e-mails on all my devices just fine and I can see the subject headings & a small portion of the body of the e-mail, but when I open the e-mails there is no body and it reads, "This message has not been downloaded from the server". Very aggrevating and is not helping my business at ALL!! Same has happened with both iPads we own now.
Delete then add back the exchange acct on each device.

When is the next Trade and Save DVD to Blu Ray??
I have been to the store twice when they were offering 5 bucks trade in money for dvd to blu ray. And both times the offer was expiring that day and it was late. I have a bunch of dvd I want to upgrade to blu rays. Anyone here have an idea when the next one might come up? I dont see anything about it online, just that the last one expired last month or so.

I recently bought an iPod Touch from the US, when I was living there. I am now in India, and my iPod seems to be frozen -- the slider won't slide. So far, I've updated my iTunes and reset and restored the Touch. The problem with the simple solution: there's no Genius bar in India.
