Why I can't re-install Acrobat Pro (Abode Creative suite 4)

hello, (sorry I'm french, my english is not good)
I had problem with my Acrobat Pro so I unstalled the software,
but now I can't re-install !
When I try with my DVDs (that I buy few years ago)  when a strat the installation it stay indefinitly at the step : "preparing installation" like on thise picture
I queeckly need this program,
How can I do ?
(I'm a Mac User;
I have an officiel Serial number for the adobe creative suite 4)

  • Trouble Installing Acrobat 9 Professional - Creative Suite 4

    I bought a newer HP laptop months ago and loaded all the other components of Creative Suite 4 Design Premium -- Win 7  64 bit - with no issues.
    I then tried to install Acrobat 9 Professional and keep getting error messages saying that one or more components dd not load correctly.
    My antivirus was turned off and I rebooted after the first failed attempt. The 2nd attempt had the same results.
    I've seen others with the same issue while trying to load Acrobat 9 Prof.
    What is the "fix" to get this on my new laptop?

    I have this version on CD from a few years ago both my old computer and the new system that has a 64-bit Windows 7 Professional. He settled smoothly and became the first updates. The updater Adobe tells me every few minutes I have new pending updates (Bridge, Dreamweaver, Extension Manager, Fireworks, Flash Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, Camera Raw), I give accept all or separately one by one, it starts the discharged smoothly and then tells me this: have not been able to install the updates, try again or if you need assistance, please contact customer service. I give the link and I get: error page, sorry this page is not avaliable, error returned 404 ..
    what I can do to update products and solve the problem?

    Someone can tell me how I can manage to install Acrobat Pro XI as the default PDF reader ?
    Before I tried to remove Acrobat Reader XI from my MacBook Pro retina under Mac OS.X.9.2. With the help of Apple's phone support.
    We did clear all caches in libraries and in other places. But, rapidly perhaps, I've deleted a folder name Reader with The XI version ? Was it Acrobat Reader or Acrobat Pro ? I don't know ?

    First because I was unable to save a document with a right click. Just able to print, rotate and nothing more. And a mini left screen's menu. Except thumbnails and page number, no option.  And all the Acrobat Tools were not proposed. Such edit, remove a page. Optimize And so on.
    So I did believe it was a reduced version of Acrobat pro : Acrobat reader. A good tool too.
    The possible solution suggested by an another user was to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat Pro.
    In fact I succeeded by unistalling Acrobat Pro XI with the appropriate tool : an uninstaller. Located in the an adobe folder in Utility Tools. So I uninstall Acrobat Pro correctly. A cleaner is proposed for windows system at labs.adobe.com
    And I erased by throwing it, in the TrashCan, Acrobat READER.
    Then with Creative Cloud tool and my account I reinstalled Acrobat Pro XI.
    And then I followed Adobe's manual tips. First I chose a Pdf file. With a right click. And in the contextual menu I chose Informations. Then I selected Acrobat Pro XI as THE défaut reader. With an option named Complete too. In order that any PDF file will be opened by Acrobat Pro XI.
    And it seems to work.
    But your question is pertinent. Because if I had after a way to save the document with a Save icon, this doc. was a sensible one : my income taxes of 2013 provided by the french ministry of finance...
    So I was able to save this doc. And after in Acrobat Pro with usual tools I did compile all the compulsory others pdf docs.

    If you are on Windows, download the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ and click 'Change Destination Folder' and the first install panel.

    You can get the updates for the MAC from Adobe - Acrobat : For Macintosh, but apparently you already found that. Two possibilities that I can think of: 1. You have anti-virus enabled and that is causing the failure or 2. You are trying to install an update and skipped ones before it. If you start with the latest update, the download indicates the previous version required for the update. It looks like 10.1.12 can install over any previous version, so I would go for broke and install the latest.

    In my Company we plan to upgrade to adobe CC (2014) on macs.
    In the first step we try to use CC and CS6 together on some macs to ensure it's working.
    But since the installation of CC Acrobat PRO X (from CS6) asks for the licence key again when starting.
    Unfortunaltly the problem still exists after reinstalling the CS6 package.
    In the CC i have no option to install Acrobat PRO XI.
    From the Adobe support I've got the hint to delete a file called opm.db in users/Library-folder but this did not help.
    Does anyone know how I can fix this?

    If you have the trail version and the serial numbers, go ahead with the install and just provide the serial numbers. I have not used the trial version, but there is supposed to be a location for simply upgrading with your license info to turn it into the full Acrobat. If that works, then be sure to backup the download for future use.

    While attempting to install Acrobat Pro 7.0 from the CS2 downloads I am able to enter the serial number and launch the install but the install stops with an error 1310 which I can choose to ignore but then I get an error 1304 where I need to cancel the install.
