Why is iphoto unexpectedly quitting when trying to order prints? I called yesterday and apple indicated this was a problem. Any idea when the problem will be fixed?

i can't open my iPhoto, it was working very slow and now its not working at all, when i try to open it it shows this message: The application “iPhoto” unexpectedly quit while trying to restore its windows. Do you want to try to restore its windows again?
how can i fix this problem? There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 10 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have. -
"iPhoto unexpectedly quit while trying to restore its windows"
When I try to open iPhoto, it says "iPhoto unexpectedly quit while trying to restore its windows," then gives me the option of restoring the windows or not. Whatever one I click, iPhoto opens for a second and displays a blank gray screen, then quickly closes and a notification pops up that says "iPhoto closed unexpectedly" and displays the following info. How do I fix this???
Here is the info from the Problem Report:

As i said above it was a test. It tells us that iPhoto is fine and that the problem is within your main Library.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Iphoto crashes when trying to order prints
I've been trying to order prints from my brand new imac through photo and every time the program crashes when it says it's uploading..As far as i am concerned it's not uploading. The bar doesn't even show up indicating its progress. I've left it for hours and nothing. Finally, i transferred the photos to my macbook pro and the order processes just fine. Any ideas what the problem is on my imac and how to fix it? Both computers have the newest OS and iphoto.
I had a client with the same problem today. A call to Apple Support confirmed my suspicions. The problem is the servers are overwhelmed and can't handle the volume. So the graphic of the cute little piece of paper sticking out of the cute little envelope just stays on the screen and iPhoto hangs.
Hello, Apple. This is a HUGE bug. iPhoto is not fault tolerant and just hangs. The only way out is to force quit.
So to all who are suffering this issue, don't bother trying to fix it on your end. The problem is on the server side. -
iTunes song list is blank in iPhoto (when trying to add a song to s slideshow). No issues with iMovie. Any idea? Cheers
Even though no one replied, i fixed my problem.
Don't know if it will work for anyone else with similar problem
but all I did was a CHKDSK then a defragment of my laptop and now everything seems to be working fine. -
My partner has the Iphone 5 and I am using a MacBook with version 1.0.2. When using the face time app to call him he says that cam freezes and he is unable to hear me. Any ideas of the problem and and ideas for resolving the issue?
Had the same problem, the only fault and the reason why it happend is a bad wifi connection!
Could ofc be something else, but thats my two cents! -

I have a full page photo in a iPhoto book that is splitting into two sections across 2 pages. Any ideas what the problem might be?
Have you selected the spread layout?
If so change it to a single page full page layout

I was trying to update my IPAD 2 but it stucked, any idea what the problem can be
I was trying to update my IPAD 2 but it stucked, any idea what the problem can be
Stuck how ? What is showing on the iPad's screen, and/or in iTunes on your computer ?
If the iPad won't start up then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
I am running cs4 suite in Mountain Lion and when I make PDF's, Helvetica Neue regular and bold both appear as squares. Any ideas on how to fix this??
Firstly you have to be very careful as these fonts are system fonts and are critical to the operating system.
I'm no expert I just followed the advice in this link.
http://indesignsecrets.com/removing-nonessential-system-fonts-in-leopard.php
It worked for me and now the font works in illustrator without converting to paths before creating pdfs.
Hope this helps... -
I just created my apple id and i tried to sign in on imessage but it keeps saying that it is already in use however this is the first time that i'm using my apple id to sign in on any device, what the problem could be?
You must create the account using an Apple device, a Mac (Lion or greater) or an IOS device (IOS5 or greater). Having done that you will be able to sign in from your Windows machine.
FYI, iCal is an application that can display calendars from iCloud (and others) it is not a calendar itself, merely a calendar client. In Windows Outlook is the calendar client. -
I'm running iPhoto '08 on an eMac G4 using OS 10.5.8 and have lost my photo library. Any ideas as to how to find it and /or rebuild it? I know it is there on my disk.
However, in pictures there seems to be a complete set of my photos(?).
I'm don't understand what you're saying here.
In the iphoto window I somehow managed to open a type of "photo library" that includes every photo I've every downloaded on my computer in multiple and entirely random order.
This can happen if someone inadvertently drags the HD icon or even the home folder icon to iPhoto Window. The best soluion for that is to restore from your back up.

trying to buy more storage on the cloud, response is 'there was a problem - try again later' its been doing this over the last two hours - any ideas what the 'problem' is please (assuming its not me) - thanks
Additional info on this:
I strongly suspect this is time machine-related. Even though time machine has been turned off, this happens at intervals of exactly one hour.
A single entry appears in the kernel log at the precise moment the (first) popup error box appears. This is:
"AppleSRP started."
Anyone have any clue how to go about diagnosing or fixing this? I don't even mind trying something brute force (short of wiping the HD and reinstalling lion, which I really DON'T want to do; I don't mind a non-destructive reinstall). -
Error when trying to order prints through costco
I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 running on Windows 7 64 bit. When iclick on Create and Order prints from Costco - the window opens but says "We are sorry, it appears you have encountered an error." Any idea will be appreciated.
I have the same problem. I know this was an issue several months ago, but they fixed the problem and it was working fine. Now, I can't get connected to Costco again. I really like this feature when it works, so hopefully they will get the issue resolved quickly!
I take that back!!! I just tried it again this morning and it is working fine!! Thank you whoever fixed it! -
This has happened since my snow leopard update to be fair. I continuously mess up all of my "events" with photoes that shoul now be there due to this mistake.
Anyone know something about it?
Big thanks in advancegiven the time this problem has existed hard to say what the results will be but Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your thumbnails - this may take several tries
