Why is it when I called a 800 Number it used up my Anytime minutes?

I thought those were free??

Your anytime minutes are for calls using the cellular network. They have nothing to do with what number you call. Every number you call is applied to your anytime minutes - 800 numbers included.
800 numbers are are free in respect to the long distance charges. From a land line, they would be free. This has nothing to do with cell phone charges. Cell phone airtime is for time spent on the cellular network.

I called the 800 number on a mac system alert message; I gave no information but they knew my telephone number. Is my computer infected?

No, unless you separately gave them access to it.

  • Why is someone is receiving calls from my number when I'm not ringing them?

The person who keeps getting these calls has my number blocked and I don't have her number any more. She's receiving FaceTime audio calls from my number at all times of the day. Anyone know how this could happen and how I can make it stop? Thanks.

  • When I call out which number do they see?

I have an online number for my german friends w/o skype to call me.
If I call them from my online number on skype, will they see my german Online Number in their caller ID when I call them?

    Hi,
German Online Number can unfortunately not be used as caller ID. You can set your mobile number as caller ID, but an Online Number can be used only in some countries.

  • What does the caller hear when they call a "Blocked Number"?

Just curious to find out what the caller hears when they try to call me when I have blocked their number. TWC was calling non-stop to try to get me to add new services. Thanks.

Callers you have blocked will hear "Welcome to Verizon Wireless. The number you were trying to reach has calling restrictions which has prevented the completion of your call."
People attempting to text to your number will get a notification that delivery failed.

    Regards peero

    Hello,
I know the reason of the problem, that is the conflict from different
version of jdk.As we know weblogic6.1 run using jdk1.3.1.If I run tomcat
using jdk1.3.1,it work fine. But if change it jdk1.4.1,the error is always
    same.
    Anyway thank you!
then can you tell me if weblogic6.1 can run using jdk1.4.1? If true, how to
    do?
    Regards,
    Peero

    Hello,
Your WSDL looks fine, so this should not be your issue. I'd suggest
that you focus on the security framework.
    Not much help,

    Hello,
This is a curious stack trace and on the surface it looks like a
security issue. I'm not sure we can help you solve the axis problem,
but I would like to know from an interop perspective. Could you post
the wsdl for the service you are trying to call?
    Thanks,

The iPhone 4 is not capable of running iOS 8. iOS 8 requires a 4s or higher.

  • Why would people get a call from my number if I don't call them?

I've had several people "call me back" because my number has called them several times. I don't and they all live in Illinois and I am in Tennessee.
    Any ideas?

    It's called spoofing:
Caller ID spoofing is the practice of causing the telephone network to display a number on the recipient's Caller ID display that is not that of the actual originating station. The term is commonly used to describe situations in which the motivation is considered malicious by the speaker or writer. Just as e-mail spoofing can make it appear that a message came from any e-mail address the sender chooses, Caller ID spoofing can make a call appear to have come from any phone number the caller wishes. Because of the high trust people tend to have in the Caller ID system, spoofing can call the system's value into question.  (Wikipedia)

  • Why cant I make outgoing calls from iphone 4s 64gb using 5.0.1

I am an apple iphone user for long since iphone 2g but never had this problem till now. I recently bought an iphone 4d 64gb white and just after a day the 5.0.1 update came out and I installed it. Since then I cannot make out going calls and every morning I am getting a invalid sim display. Switching it off and on fixes that problem and all the other thing like recieving calls are working fine but I'm not sure about this problem. Is it a hardware problem or is still the problem with 5.0.1!!! This new update promised battery life and many other stuff aswell but mine become worse :[ dunno what to do now. I miss you Steve Jobs. Please any comment will be more than appreciated. Thanks....

Make sure you both have iMessage turned on in Settings -> Messages.  The Receive At setting on your friend's phone will show how you can reach him/her (just as your setting will show how they can reach you).  Hope this helps!

  • When people call me my phone never seems to ring....

I have had this problem since I started with Verizon years ago and I have had about 4 different phones with the company. People will call my phone and they claim the phone rings and rings until finally the voice mail picks up but the strange thing about it is that my phone does not ring. Yet I have never had dropped call problems and when I check the volume is on in fact at full blast so if it rang you would probably jump out of your seat from how loud it was lol. I checked and it shows I have at least 3 bars of service.
I live about 2 hours away from New York City but my parents and my sister all live down in Florida and they too have the same exact problem. It rings sometimes but not always. I used to get some sort of alert whenever someone left me a voice mail and now I get none. I just happen to know people call me because I check my voice mail and it said I have 3 new messages all from different people who claim they called me at a certain time but the thing is the phone is right here next to me and it has not rung at all.
My dad has a Samsung Galaxy smartphone and he has the same problem with that and previous phones. My mom just upgraded herself to an iphone and both me and my sister have basic phones until our next possible upgrade we will upgrade to smartphones. But the point is I have no clue why I have this problem when I should not have this at all. Even Verizon confirmed there are no service problems where I live or down where my parents live so service is not the issue here and the maps show that both me and my family are covered. Any idea on why it is when people call their calls do not go through for me and why I get no voice mail updates when someone leaves a voice mail?
Just so annoying. But the help is greatly appreciated. Not sure if anyone has this same problem. I used to have Virgin Mobile years ago before we got Verizon even though the service sucked I never had this kind of problem I described.

I am sorry if I have not been able to respond sooner. I am taking night and day classes during the week so have been as busy as ever with school. But well I will give this a shot. As for signal well here is the deal. On campus no one gets signal. I know people who have all sorts of cell phone services you name it and they wont get signals. But the verizon maps shows we are covered all over campus. Some people suspect because the building is made completely out of metal that would cause us to never get service cause when we go into the building next door which is a brick building we get service fine no matter what provider.I know people who use iphones on verizon and get no service at school. But outside of school and outside the building and anywhere else I go to I get perfect service. Even where I live I live in like the middle of the woods here where there are tons of trees and when people complain they get no service I am showing at least 3 our of 4 bars of service and am able to text my friends for a while and texts go through no problems.
However sometimes I go to take my phone out and I will notice the bars jump like I can have 4 bars of service then it jumps to 2 bars then it says 1X with no bars then it says EV then it goes back to like 4 bars then back to 3 where it stays on 3 for a while. This only happens once in a while. I usually do a simple phone restart by removing the battery and this solves that issue but as for making phone calls and sending texts (aside from being inside school) I have never had a problem making or sending a call or text. Only in school will my call fade and get lost. The problem with the time is that the voice mail does not give you the time the person who left the message called. I am not sure how to verify this because I even check my missed calls log and the person who left me the message well their number is no where to be found on my missed calls log.
My dad on the other hand just recently about a month ago upgraded his basic phone to the Samsung Galaxy III and he said he has the same exact issue the only difference is when someone leaves a voice mail his phone will send him a notification stating something like "you have one new voice mail" while as my phone does not pop up any messages. I missed a Dr.s appointment recently because something happened with my calender and I wrote down the wrong date. My dr.s office called to remind me of the appointment date but I missed it because I never got the call and they said they had left a voice mail which I had never gotten to begin with. I also made sure the volume on the phone was up in fact I had it higher then usual so if someone calls you might jump from the surprise call lol but yes anyways this is the status of the situation.
It appears it is something on the family plan. I had this problem before where I was unable to send and receive picture messages from people so when my parents would text me a picture of something from work or whatever my phone would not get it and they would ask me why and it turns out Verizon put a block on my phone so I could not get picture messages. They removed it at once and problem was solved. I am not sure if this could be a similar situation where you guys in Verizon put some sort of block on my phone that could have caused this to happen on my phone where the calls are not getting through? Or do you think it could be something else? It's me my parents and my sister and we have a family share plan and all of us have this same exact issue but I just seem to be having it a lot longer then they did. Sorry if this was long wanted to update the situation thanks for responding.

This defines two selection screens u2013 1100 and 1200 u2013 as subscreens.
The screen contains a subscreen area AREA and two pushbuttons with the function codes BUTTON1 and BUTTON2.
The screen flow logic for screen 100 is as follows:

      MODULE status_0100.
CALL SUBSCREEN area INCLUDING sy-repid number.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
      MODULE cancel AT EXIT-COMMAND.
      CALL SUBSCREEN area.
      MODULE user_command_0100.
When you run the program, a screen appears on which selection screen 1100 is displayed as a subscreen. You can display either selection screen in the subscreen area, using the pushbuttons to switch between them. Before you switch from selection screen 1200 to 1100, you must fill out the obligatory fields. The data you enter is available to the program in the parameters in the PAI event.
    Hope it helps you

Have you enabled your Online Number to be used as your Caller ID?  It is not done automatically.  You should be able to do it through the program on a computer, or log into your account here on the Skype web site (use the "Account" link at the top of the page) and verify your Caller ID settings. Keep in mind that Caller ID may not be passed along to the phones you call, even if you have your Caller ID settings using your Online Number (again, assuming it is a US number or from a country where the number can be used this way).  Online Numbers that can be used as Caller ID should be available as options you can select there.  For example, numbers in the US and UK can be used for Caller ID, but numbers from Australia and Mexico can't.
Are you calling toll-free numbers with your Skype account?  If so, the Caller ID settings may be irrelevant.  When calling normal phone numbers, Caller ID information is generally passed to the number you call.  For toll-free numbers, another number called ANI is passed along.  For Skype calls, the ANI number is where the call is patched into the US telephone network.  Most of the calls to US numbers are patched into the telephone network either at the 661 area code in the Los Angeles area, or at the 559 area code around Fresno in central California.  When calling toll-free numbers, there is no way to force the number you call to see your Caller ID number.  This also means that toll-free numbers that do not accept calls from those two California area codes may not be accessible with Skype.  Some toll-free numbers limit where they will accept calls from, down to one state or even one area code.

  • Repair Status and Customer Support 800 number.

I sent in my month old notebook dv6-1030us for repair due to a faulty HP Recommended Bios update..  I used the HP Provided shipping box via FedEx and tracked it to the destination in Tenn.  An Email provided a site to monitor the progress of the repair.  This page listed the progress up to and including an expected delivery date of the repaired notebook.  A day or two later after it arrived at the repair site an email to me stated that the repairs were being expedited, and if they were unable to meet the expected delivery date an HP rep would contact me. No contact yet.  There is a space on the page for the return shipment date.  The service states FedEx 2nd day.  Well here it is the day for it to be delivered.  No delivery as of yet but then I don't expect it as the shipment date still reads: Not yet Shipped.  So I called the 800 number listed for support but after saying in English that the conversation will be tapped, then repeated in Spanish, both times resulted in Hang Ups.  Can anyone there give me an explanation as to the repair progress or repaired delivery date and or provide another number so I may talk to someone.

  • Trouble with incoming calls while surfing the web using EDGE....

I'm aware that while I'm using EDGE to surf the net on my phone, that my calls may go to voicemail. This is fine, but when someone calls me while I'm using EDGE to surf the net, they don't even get a ring tone, or anything to let them know that the call is coming through to my phone. I've tried this myself, and all I get is 30-45 seconds of dead air, then a click that sounds like the call has been disconnected, and THEN my voicemail picks up.
I'm concerned that the caller will think that there's a problem with my phone, instead of waiting the time it takes for the voicemail to pick up. Is there some sort of setting on my phone that I can change that will let the caller hear the rings so they know that the call is actually going through, or is this just a random glitch with my phone or the network?
I'm guessing it's not something that can be changed, but I've got my fingers crossed. Thanks in advance!

There is a couple things you can try on your iPhone. Beyond this you may wish to call AT&T and see if there is a setting they can look at regarding this dead error. Maybe there is a time of dead silence vs sending right to voicemail.
Sometimes you can set a Music tone to be heard instead. But if this is used for business it would not be very professional.
    1. Settings- Toggle Airplane Mode ON for 1 min. Then turn off.
    2. Retest voicemail call to your phone
    3. Reboot iPhone, Hold Home Button down with the Sleep/Wake Button till you see the apple logo. Then let go. Now test your voicemail.
    4. Reset Network Settings, Settings-General-Reset- Reset Network Settings- Confirm, Test voicemail.
As a last test before calling AT&T trying performing a basic call to your phone at different times of the day. See if this occurs more in the morning, afternoon, evening. Etc. Might be able to narrow it down to Busy traffic.
Last resort again. Call AT&T have them check some settings on their end. And see if there is any small change they can do so they hear at least 1 ring tone before it hitting mail box.
