Why is my image more pixelated after changing the DPI?

I am creating a magazine for a university project and I have chosen 2 images to be included in one of my articles. I changed the DPI of both images in PhotoShop to 300 DPI and saved them before placing them into my InDesign document but they appear to be even more pixelated after this than what they were when I placed them straight from the internet. Will they be like this when I print it or does it only look pixelated on my screen? Any help?

What is the effective resolution in InDesign? (look into the link panel.) (BTW resolution of an image is measured in PPI, not in DPI!)
Is the link up to date?
How do you proof it? Did you turn on the high quality display?
What file type are you using?
What is the scaling factor of the image in InDesign?
How did you change the resolution in Photoshop? What was the first resolution, did you change the size of the image?

What DPI did you save as:
You should always save as 300dpi, then you can always reduce the size as needed.
Another thing, don't copy and paste, that always causes that Problem.
In Acrobat you should open Tools Menu click on Content Editing the Add Image.
Then click on image and choose Properties and place where you want and size as you desire.

Yes the Workflow Background process completed successfully with no errors. I see the error when I query up the Sales Order go to menu --> Workflow Status -->
Activity History.
The Activity History shows error in the Wait Function and the error message is 3001: Invalid command argument.?
This error message does not explain much. I followed all the steps in document# 397364.1
Don't know why it should end in error and how it can be fixed?

Two ways to change the DPI that are resulting in different outcomes... WHY?

I'm really having a hard time here, and I'm hoping someone can explain what I'm missing.
Because I like iPhoto's crop feature better then ACR or PS, I decided to add it to my process at the very end. Basically saving as a PSD, importing into iPhoto, cropping, and exporting the file back out in JPG or PSD format... The only catch is that iPhoto loves 72dpi, so I would have to add one more step to up the dpi using the Process Multiple Files feature in PSE6.
Problem - After I batch the files to 300dpi using the Process Multiple Files feature, everything went out of wack. For example, File 001.psd started out at 2848x4288, 33.7MB, and 240dpi. Once imported into iPhoto, cropped, and exported, the psd file was at 2458x3686, 25.1MB, and 72dpi. Then after the batch process the psd file is at 10242x15358, 310MB, and 300dpi.
Now if instead I take the 72dpi psd file and open it up in PSE6, go to image/resize/image resize, then change the Resolution number from 72 to 300 under Document Size, the file comes out to 2458x3686, 25.3MB, and 300dpi.
Are the two attempts to change the DPI not the same?
What am I missing here?
My goal is to end up with a 300dpi Max jpg image from the cropped files I exported from iPhoto, without them being way oversized. One would assume this is a straight forward process, no?

Obviously, the two processes are not the same.
You didn't tell us what you did, what options you selected, in Process Multiple Files, so its hard to tell what you did wrong.
There's absolutely no reason to change the dpi, it is a meaningless number for screen display. The only time it matters is when you go to print, and since you didn't mention printing at all, I would recommend just forgetting this idea of batch changing dpi. It has no value whatsoever.

The VLT works fine with the above URL change but How to fix "CRXDE" Initialization error if a context path is defined?

I'm very stuck with trying to change the DPI of an image to 400 so that it is ready to print and the resolution will be fine once printed but i have no idea how to do this in illustrator?

If you are talking about a raster image placed in Illy, you can only change the size to get the desired PPI/DPI.
If you are talking about raster effects or a raster image created in Illy, you may set the desired resolution of raster effects, or the desired resolution or total pixel x pixel size of the exported/saved image.
If you are talking about pure vector artwork, the resolution depends on your printer (driver) (settings), as Doug said.

2) we have no way of knowing whether or system fits into the definition of "typical"
3) the best way would be to do that on a test system and measure the impact
4) I would be concerned more about SYSAUX growth than performance impact -- you need to make sure that you won't run out of space because of x4 more frequent snapshots

Films - Movies not Working or corrupted in iTunes after changing the album artwork

After trying to change the album artwork for some movies I own, I realized that such movie unplayable after such change and I cannot even revert what I have done. More, it seems like if you press on the "get info" section of the movie, you will notice that the artwork tab is gone and therefore, it’s like the movie is corrupted after changing the artwork. Any ideas? Has anyone encountered this before?

Just checked and I have the updated itunes 8.0.1 with the poster frame problem.
I finally found a fix for the movie album artwork problem.
After realizing several movies had the same poster frame as one of the movies. I deleted the movie with the common poster frame which had been copied to other movies. The other poster frames changed on the other movies because they no longer had a reference to the file from which the poster frame was copied. So I copied the deleted movie back into itunes and then got to thinking that perhaps there is something else in common with the movies which displayed the same poster frame. I found that I had set the album field to the same title. So I changed the album field file by file, to something else. Then I set the poster frame after playing a few seconds of the video at a point where I wanted the frame set to the current frame. I got a film icon on the movie icon for a few seconds while it changed it. Sometimes I had to repeat selecting the different poster frames for each movie because it didn't take the first time... the second time I selected a different poster frame it was then set to the first poster frame that I selected. So now the movies which all had the same album "Aviation" now are all changed to "Flight Training" Of course, now the poster frames for those movies are all the same poster frame but at least they are correct for the type of movie.
So if the album name is set to the same thing on several different movies they will all have the same poster frame.

And, you if typically access the service from within Reader, you can download the free Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/reader.html.

I guess there can be two things.
before going to the tcode sxi_cache...
Please go to the IR, Click Environment, Cache Notification and then select author as your id.
Now see if any are in red status. if so click on the change and click Repeat Cache Notification.
Now press refresh.
I guess this will resolve your problem

Seems you specified wrong IP address.

Poor Printing quality after changing the catridges

After changing the complete set of catridge print quality is very bad and only prining in Magenta & Grey color.
