Why is my router constantly getting PINGed?

I just noticed in my router's log that some computer sends pings out in a constant stream. This is what it looks like:

Who is 10.153.0.1 and why is he doing it? Am I right in suspecting it is an attempt to gain access to my machines?
Thank you ,

I am constantly getting an alert on my iPhone to enter my Apple ID password for iCloud. I have been getting this since I got my iPad Air. I enter my Apple ID password and I get an alert that the password I entered is incorrect. Why is this happening? I have used the same password since I first purchased my iPhone.

  • Why do i constantly get cut off on calls.  I've had this problem with my 3GS, my 4S and now my iPhone 5.  When the core functionality is Phone, i.e. the ability to talk, why can't Apple make the iPhone function as a Phone?  is there an App for that !!

Well, since you've had the same problem, with three different phones, that all use different size sim cards, it seems pretty obvious the problem is with your carrier/coverage & nothing to do with your phone or sim card.

Why am I constantly getting the message that I don't have enough storage space? I have upgraded to the 50GB storage plan and I am still getting the message. Help?

That message refers to storage on your iPhone, not cloud storage. You will need to move content off your phone to make more space.

  • Why do I constantly get the msg...Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding? I just upgraded to the IOS 8.2.  Nothing else seems to be affected.

Why do I constantly get the msg...Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding?  I just upgraded to the IOS 8.2.  Nothing else seems to be affected.

    Try some basic troubleshooting:
    (A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    (B) Try reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings

  • SOA Suite 11g - Connection Pools constantly getting suspended...

    Hi,
I have composites, bpel processes using database adapters.
*I keep getting "+Pool mds-owsm is Suspended, cannot allocate resources to applications+"  and " Pool SOALocalTxDataSource is Suspended, cannot allocate resources to applications.." in soa_server logg.*
There are no errors in db trace logs. It seems related to the WLS JDBC data sources, they are constantly getting suspended.
After a while no new connections can be created, and managed soa server hangs. Restart is the only "solution" for now...
I have increased "Maximum Capacity" on the connection pool to 300 without success.
    Any ideas, pointers, help appreciated.

    Hi again,
Thanks for the input, to answer your questions Anuj:
    Database
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production
    Middleware
    Oracle SOA Management 11.1.1.3.0
    Oracle SOA Infrastructure 11.1.1.3.0
    Oracle SOA Suite Patch 11.1.1.3.0
    Oracle SOA Common Adapters 11.1.1.3.0
Enterprice Manager 11g Fusion Middleware Control 11.1.1.3.0
    And..
Connection Creation Retry Frequency is set to "10"
Test Connections On Reserve is enabled.
Login Delay is stil set to 0 (by default), why should this value be other than 0?, wouldn't increasing it to 10 heavily slow down message-processing..?
DB and SOA are not on same machine, no n/w issues.
    Regards
    Anders.

  • I'm constantly getting an error message - any ideas welcome

I'm constantly getting an error message 'You are not connected to the internet - Safari can't open the page etc etc - but I know I'm connected - any ideas welcome -

I've seen those messages on a machine with a damaged hard drive directory.
Corrupt or missing system files will also cause that.
Another cause is a bad ethernet cable.
Try a different user account and see if the message persists.
Boot to the OS X install disc and use Disk Utility to Repair Disk on the startup drive.
    Try a different/new ethernet cable.
    but I know I'm connected
    Why? Mail still works?

  • E4200 - constantly getting drop wireless connection

First, if you only plan on using the ports on the back for network connections, I have had no problems. My issues are all deal with the wireless connections. I am constantly getting dropped and when I called Cisco/Linksys support, I was told that I needed to turn off my wireless N and have all the devices connect at a slower speed.

First of all please verify that you have got a 802.11n card in your computer. New generation routers (i.e. E4200) speaks an entirely different language than 802.11g cards, so while those adapters can work with the E4200 for example, they are not optimized to work with it. It is like having to translate from one language to another in real time when going from N to G... So in those cases the old router will show a stronger signal than the new one.
SECOND, make sure the adapter driver is up to date.
Try to do the following steps:
A] With the help of Cisco Connect Software (if at all you have installed the router with the help of this software)
1] Open the software and go to the option which says "Router Settings"
2] Then click on the option which says "Advanced Settings" which will take you to the router's configuration page.
3] Then go to the Wireless tab, keep network mode as mixed,
For Channel Settings of 2.4 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, 11..
For Channel Settings of 5 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 40 or 161...
B] If you haven't installed Cisco Connect then you can log on to the router's user interface using it's default IP address in the browser which is 192.168.1.1 and type in 'admin' as the password leaving the username field blank. This will take you to the router's web interface and then follow steps as mentioned above to make the changes.

  • Airport affect command line commands, such as telnet, route -v get, etc.

I am experiencing a special problem when I both connect to internet through Airport and my private network through ethernet port.
When Airport is connected to internet, I connect the ethernet port to an internal private network, where I did not set default gateway for this private connection.
When I tried to "telnet" to an ip within the same subnet of the internal private network, there is none of any response. From wireshark capture, there is none of any packet sending out. But when I tried both "icmp ping" and "ftp", they both worked properly.
Then I disconnect Airport and try "telnet" again, it then worked quickly.
In addition, when I try to check the route to my destination, which is within the same subnet of my ethernet, I used "route -v get 192.168.133.219". Interestingly, when Airport was not connected, this command will output the route information quickly. However, when Airport was connected, this command will not have any output of the route.
I have updated to the latest 10.5.8 release, but still have the same problem.
Have you ever had experienced such problem? Normally how can I report bug like above to Apple?

After properly configured VMware, this problem has been resolved.

  • I have mac book pro with lion and constantly get a drop-down menu when clicking on a menu line

I am new to Apple software.  I have a MacBook Pro using Lion.  Question is I constantly get drop-down menus when I click on an item to initate an action,  even as simple as clicking on the red x to close a page.  Why??

Sounds like the right-click behavior is messed up.  Check the Mouse or Trackpad preferences and see what it has for right-click.
Also, it could be that your contol key is stuck down or the keyboard is sending that command for some reason.

  • Why does my browser constantly have to stop playing when watching You Tube?

Why does my browser constantly have to stop playing when I watch You Tube or other videos?
this is driving me nuts. It stops and then starts up again after a few seconds and then stops again and re-starts.
Happens on both Safari and Firefox.
    Can anyone help?

    Hi Kathryn ...
Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin... try troubleshooting.
Quit Safari and Firefox if they are open.
Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new >  Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Use Safari to test. Launch Safari From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
    Now try a video.
BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed in Safari > Preferences - Extensions, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to:  Open in 32 bit mode  is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari to test.

  • HT1766 Why is my phone constantly restarting?

Why is my phone constantly restarting? Help iPhone store said they can not help me...

When you set up the new phone did you set it up as "restore from an icloud backup" or did you set up the phone as a "new phone" and then signed in with your apple id? If you chose "restore from an ic,oud backup" then there might be something wrong with your icloud backup. You can try restoring the phone as "erase all contents and settings" and when it asks you how you're setting up your phone you can chose "set up as new iphone" and then sign in with your apple id and you should get your contact synced over at least. You can then go to the itunes store and app store to manually download your purchases. Or you can plug in your old phone to your computer and use itunes to "back up to my computer" and once that is done you can plug in your new phone to your computer and use itunes to "restore from a bckup". Hopefully that is more helpful.
Also, what exactly did the Apple Store say as to why they "couldn't help you"?
