Why "Please sign in" when using navigation?

I have bought regular and legal Nokia E72 from Telecom and my navigation/GPS has been working perfectly, of course without any connection to the internet. Recently, I decided to update my maps, and now when I want to use my navigation I must sign in to Nokia web site, i.e. when I try to start my navigation, next sentence pops up "Please sign in".
How come? Why? I do not want to use my navigation using expensive internet and roaming connection(s).
So, if I do not SIGN IN, I can not use navigation, and if I SIGN IN, the internet/telecom tariff starts ticking...
Where did I go wrong? What can I do in order to "get back" my navigation which I used previously by connecting "directly to the satellites". I do not want to sign anywhere, I'd like to use my free of charge navigation and I paid for that 350 euro.

Hi scoobyman, the "square" is NOT marked, so "Sign in automatically" is already on - "NO".
This is very strange and very expensive: I have just checked out my E72 and I realized that E72 connects "itself" to the internet every "here and there" (very often, let's say every 15 seconds) and stays connected to the internet for next 15 seconds, even though my Options - Settings - Internet - Connection is OFFLINE. I also tried to put Network destination to "Multimedia msg", but I gained nothing: cell phone keeps on connecting to the internet very often and stays connected for next 15 seconds (but ONLY OVI Maps, "Garmin" - which I also installed - does NOT try to connect "itself" to the internet).
I have also tried to have Positioning methods - Assisted GPS and Network based - turned OFF, but E72 keeps on connecting to the internet.
How come? What is to be done.
I need to emphasize that something like this has never happened while I was using original OVI Maps application, but after I had updated OVI Maps, I have gotten this problem, as well as little phrase on the top "Please sign in". I do not want to sign in.
All this makes no sense. I have heard that Nokia is the best, but taking into account that this is my first Nokia and after my Sony-Ericssons and HTCs, I have decided not to go with Nokia ever again.
So, who can help me resolve my two problems, just two the most important, among all other problems related to E72 that I have not mentioned?

How do I get rid of various lines around text boxes when using navigation panes

How can I get rid of these various lines that are displaying sporatically around different text boxes . . . but only when the navigation panel is displaying? I previously had the issue and changed the text box properties to no fill. It fixed the problem in the document with no navigation panel, but once the navigation panel is displayed the lines appear. And yes, I fixed the text box properties before creating the bookmarks for the navigation panel.

Every device, browser and browser version has its idiosyncrasies.
Just using a stroke and a drop shadow should not have been enough to require Muse to convert the page fill to an image. Were/are there also other effects on the page? Are the page corners slightly rounded?
Bevel and Inner Glow definitely require an image to be created. Most other effects/properties do not.

Why is quicktime slower when using multiple mdat atoms

Hi,
I've been trying to generate a mov file and I noticed that the more mdat atoms I put in my mov file the more the file takes time to load on QuickTime, iTunes.
Even worst, on the iPhone the file takes more than 3 minutes to load.
If there are too many mdat atoms quicktime even says that the file is invalid ( error -2004 or -2002, I don't remember exactly).
Why is quicktime/iTunes slower when using multiple mdat atoms ?

Yeah! Problem solved: It's a QT issue.
Cause: Mac Update Software downloaded a faulty QT.
Solution: Download QT from Apple's QT site.

Why is getLineMetrics inaccurate when using device fonts* or immediately after resizing a TextField?

1. We need getLineMetrics to return correct values immediately after changing a TextField's width/height or any property that would affect the layout metrics, withouth having to alter other properties like setting the text to itself (p1.text = p1.text). Currently, if you change the width of a text field to match the stage width for example, getLineMetrics will not return correct values until the next frame.... UNLESS you set the text property.
2. We also need some kind of "stage scaled" event in addition to the "stage resize" event (which only fires when stage scale mode is no_scale), because stage scaling affects the rendered size of device fonts so dramatically that we must call getLineMetrics again. This is not the case for fonts antialiased for readability, since their size is relatively stable with scaling, as demonstrated by drawing a box around the first line once and then scaling the stage.
So those are the problems. The asterisk in the title of this post is there because it seem that TextField.getLineMetrics is accurate with device fonts, but I cannot take advantage of that accuracy without a way to detect when the player is scaled. I can only confirm its accuracy at a 1:1 scale, since there is no way to recalculate the size of the line rectangle once the player is scaled, aside from setting a timer of some sort which is a real hack not to mention horribly inefficient with no way to detect when the stage has actually be scaled.
I use device fonts because embedded fonts look terrible and blurred compared to device font rendering. The "use device font" setting matches the appearance of text in web browsers exactly. The only way to get embedded/advanced antialiased text in flash to approximate that of the device font look is to primarily set gridFitType to PIXEL instead of SUBPIXEL, and secondly set autokerning to true to fix problems caused by the PIXEL grid fit type. That ensure strokes are fitted solidly to the nearest pixel, however it still lacks the "ClearType" rendering that device fonts use, which has notable color offset to improve appearance on LCD monitors, rather than the purely grayscale text that flash uses in its subpixel rendering. Frankly, failure to use device fonts because of API issues, is the only reason why Flash sometimes doesn't look as good as HTML text and why people say text in Flash "looks blurry". I'm tired of hearing it. If the player simply dispatched an event when scaled and updated the metrics immediately when any property of the text field that would affect the metrics is changed, then we could all happily use device fonts and Flash text would look great. As is stands, because of the two problems I mentioned in the opening paragraph, we're stuck dealing with these problems.
If you create two text fields named "p1" and "p2" for paragraph 1 and 2, populate them with an identical line of text and set one to "use device fonts" and the other to "antialias for readability", then use this code to draw boxes around the first line of text in each of them:

The box surrounding the line of text in the "use device fonts" box is way off at first. Scaling the player demonstrates that the text width of the device font field fluctuates wildly, while the "antialias for readability" field scales with the originally drawn rectangle perfectly. That much is fine, but again to clarify the problems I mentioned at the top of this post:
Since the text width fluctuates wildly upon player resize, assuming that getLineMetrics actually works on device fonts (and that's an assumption at this point), you'd have to detect the player resize and redraw the text. Unfortunately, Flash does not fire the player resize event unless the stage scale mode is set to NO_SCALE. That's problem #1. And if that's by design, then they should definitely add a SCALE event, because changes in player scale dramatically affect device font layout, which requires recalculation of text metrics. It's a real issue for fluid layouts.
The second problem is that even when handling the resize event, and for example setting the text field width's to match the Stage.stageWidth property, when the text line wraps, it's not updated until the next frame. In other words, at the exact resize event that causes a word to wrap, calling getLineMetrics in this handler reports the previous line length before the last word on the line wrapped. So it's delayed a frame. The only way to get the correct metrics immediately is basically to set the text property to itself like "p1.text = p1.text". That seems to force an update of the metrics. Otherwise, it's delayed, and useles. I wrote about this in an answer over a year ago, showing how sensitive the text field property order is: http://stackoverflow.com/a/9558597/88409

As I've noted several times, setting the text property to its own current value should not be necessary to update the metrics, and in some subclasses of text field, setting a property to its own value is ignored as the property is not actually changing and processing such a change would cause unnecessary work which could impact application performance. Metrics should be current upon calling getLineMetrics. They are not. That's the problem.
From a programming perspective, having to set the text property (really "htmlText" to preserve formatting) to itself to update metrics is almost unmanagable, and doesn't even make sense considering "htmlText" is just one of a dozen properties and methods on a TextField that could invalidate the layout metrics (alignment, setTextFormat, width, height, antiAliasMode, type, etc.), and I would have to override every one of those properties so that I could set htmlText = htmlText. Using such a subclass isn't even possible if I want to use the Flash IDE to add text fields to the stage. I would have to iterate over the display list and replace all existing fields with my subclass, which also isn't a good workaround because there's no way to update any and all variable references that may have been made to those instances.
Frome what I've read, the invalide+render event system is unreliable. My layout framework is similar to that of Windows Forms, and performs layout immediately, with dozens of docking modes and uses suspend and resume layout calls for efficiently resizing multiple child objects in a component. Certain calculations cannot be aggregated for a render event, because some containers are semi-reflexive, meaning they can expand to fit the child contents while also contraining the child size, depending on whether the contain was resized or the child component was resized, so as a matter of correctness the resizing calcultation must occur immediately when the child resizes, otherwise a top-down pass on the display hierarchy for resizing will not be sufficient.
As far as waiting until the next frame, no that is not possible, as it will cause one frame to be completely wrong. If I was dragging the browser window to resize it, it would look terrible as virtually every single frame during the resizing operation would be incorrect. Also, in the case where a user clicks the maximize or restore button of the web browser, the resizing event will occur exactly once, so if the metrics are not correct when that occurs, there is no recalculation occuring on the next frame, it will just be wrong and sit there looking wrong indefinitely.
In case it's not obvious by now, this is a web application. It uses the NO_SCALE stage scaling option, so notification of the event is not actually an issue for me personally. I was just pointing out that for anyone not using the NO_SCALE option, there is no event in Flash to detect player scale. What you're suggesting is using a JavaScript event and using the ExternalInterface bridge to send a message, which there is no guarantee whether it will be processed in a timely matter by the player and introduces possible platform inconsistancies, depending on whether the browser has actually resized the Flash interface at that point or what state Flash is in when it tries to recalculate the size of the text. The browser may send that event to flash before the player is actually resized, so it will be processing incorrect sizes and then resized after the fact. That's not a good solution. Flash needs a scale event in addition to a resize event. I'm really surprised it doesn't have one. At the very least, the existing resize event should be dispatched reguardless of the stage scale mode, rather than occuring exclusively in the NO_SCALE mode.
Bottom line is that getLineMetrics needs to return correct values every time it is called, without having to set the "text" property immediately before calling it. If such a requirement exists, which seems to be the case, then that needs documented in the getLineMetrics method.

I have a MAC computer with Sync. Was set up under sync Beta. I have an Android phone synced to it that was synced using the pair this device function. It works perfectly. I just got a new Android Tablet and am trying to add it to my sync and it does not seem to have the pair my device function. It insists I log into my sync account. So I try it and it tells me invalid userid/password. I verify and it is the exact email address userid that shows as being my sync account on the MAC. I verify the password on the MAC and it tests out fine. Try the tablet again and invalid.. So I try to reset my password on the tablet and am told my email address/account name does not exist. I just verified it AND Synced my MAC using it!! I have my recovery Key but there is no place to input it into the tablet. There is no place on tablet to enter the link device codes. How can my account be valid and in use on two devices but invalid and nonexistant on the new one? And How do I get the New one to sync with other two?

Issue when using Navigation attributes for filtering in BEX

We are encountering an issue when applying filter on Navigation attributes in BEx query built on top of a BW HANA Virtual Provider.
The interface is as below :
HANA Calculation View -> SAP BW 7.4 Virtual InfoCube -> Multiprovider -> BEx Query.
We have directly mapped the base Infoobject from HANA View to BW Virtual Provider and using this in BEx query free characteristics. We also have used the navigational attribute of this Infoobject in our Report variable screen as well as an Auth relevant object.
Eg if ZMATERIAL is the base infoobject and ZMATERIAL__ZXYZ navigational attribute is used in the report variable screen and as Authorization variable.
This is causing the query to fail.
The query also fails if I apply any filter values on any Navigational attribute with error message :
"Termination message sent ERROR DBMAN (305): Error reading the data of InfoProvider"
Using the navigational attribute with authorization variable fails with below :
"Termination message sent ERROR DBMAN (099): Invalid query;Failed to find attribute ZMATERIAL__ZXYZ [...]"
Appreciate any inputs on this issue and how this can be fixed.

We get error "Termination message sent ERROR DBMAN (099): Invalid query;Failed to find attribute
ZMATERIAL__ZXYZ" whenever we try to apply filters on any of the navigational attribute.

How frequently should I expect to have to sign in when using Ps CC?

I have the annual single application license for Photoshop CC. I am using a Win 7 64-bit computer.
I have noticed that at what seem to be random times Photoshop will require me to sign in. I would estimate that this happens approximately once or twice in a 7 day period. Abut to minutes after it happened most recently, I opened Creative Cloud and it too asked me to sign in. I thought that was extremely odd, as I would have thought that all the Adobe Creative Cloud programs on my computer would 'share' the fact that I was signed in.
I should note that I do not sign out, as I have no reason to do so. Thus that can't be the reason I am asked to sign in.
And perhaps this behavior of the software is perfectly normal, and if so, that's fine. But I just want to know if everything is working like it should.

I checked all the things you suggested checking and I was unable to find any problems.
Today I had what seemed to me to be an odd experience. I opened Photoshop CC normally, and after a few minutes of worked I closed the program. Then within 5 minutes I opened it again and was asked to sign in, which I did, then I agreed to the Adobe T&Cs, and was told CC was now registered to me. While this is the normal routine when I am asked to sign in, what was odd was the fact that I had had no problems 5 or 10 minutes earlier with Photoshop, but then when I wanted to restart it I had to go through the sign in rigamarole.
Any other ideas?

Transaction not maintained when using Navigation API

Hi All,
We have the following requirement,
Overview page --> Quick Create Popup --> More Details Page
When we click on CREATE button in Overview page, we open a Quick create popup which starts a new transaction. When we click on More Details link in the popup, I'm using a navigation API to open the more details window in a new tab.
Here the details entered in the popup are not transferred to the More Details page, as that page is starting a new transaction and not using the one started by POPUP window.
Is there any way to use the same transaction that is started in POPUP window, in the More Details window as well. Again, I have to use a Navigation API

This is the API which we can use to navigate between taskflows and show a taskflow in a new dynamic tab.

Curve 9300 error message: there was a problem during installation. Please try again when using app world

I have a curve 9300 using os 6 and the latest app world 2.1.1.. something
when i try to download apps it initiates the download then after a couple of seconds after starting it shows the error message "there was a problem during installation. Please try again"
i have tried ALL the suppourt forums (KB26671 and KB30074) and suggestions/threads and called my network but none have worked.
these were reinstallign app world, making a new blackberry id as the other email address was associated with an old blackberry, security wiping the phone then restoring it and entering the new bb id, changing the date to 2014 and then hard wiping the phone and restoring it
i have twitter, facebook and bbm ect apps but these are RIM made i think and already preinstalled. everything else on the phone works fine
i have tried both wifi and network internet and battery pull
i really dont know what else to try or who else to contact to fix it. very annoying paying for a service you cant even use!
any help or more ideas would be great!

Why getting WebLogic Connection when using Oracle Driver?

Does anyone know why I would be getting back an instance of weblogic.jdbc.rmi.SerialConnection
when retrieving a connection out of the connection pool, via my JDBC TX DataSource,
when my JDBC Connection pool is configured to use oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver. Seems
that since I'm using the Oracle driver I should not be getting back this WebLogic
connection.
Any insight is appreciated :)

Why does Itunes stutter when using AE on a wired network?

Itunes stutters badly when I try to use AE with remote speakers. I am running on an older PC with 512 RAM and a Penitum 4 2.6 GHz Chip. All my Apple Itunes software and firmware is up to date. I have already gone to Quicktime and am now using Safe Mode with Waveout only. So that doesn't work even though many posts suggest this is a solution. I also note that when turn off the remote speakers Itunes plays back perfectly on my computer speakers. I monitored my CPU activity and it does seem to correspond with the stuttering but it only reaches a top of 15-20% so its not like I have taxing the system. Also its not a wireless problem since I am doing this with an AE unit in wired mode (though I am using a powerline system to wire my house rather than ethernet cable). I have searched high and low for an answer. I am guessing that my old processer just cannot handle the demands that the AE unit requires to stay in sync or something along those lines. Thanks for any help or wisdom.

Hi, I am having the exact same problem. When I connect to the AE wirelessly itunes streams music to it and through my amp / speakers without any skips / stuttering. When i dock the laptop (which disables the wireless card) and itunes streams using the wired lan it starts to skip every 5 or 6 seconds after approximately 4 minutes of play. I have also tried changing the quicktime settings (though feel these may only fix the skipping problem when playing through the PC directly) and the buffer time in itunes. This problem is really annoying, can anyone help?

Error when using navigation list

i'm using jdeveloper10.1.2 i created a jsp page which contain two cascading lists it worked fine,i copied the application to another pc when i try to run this page on jdeveloper i get this error at runtime

Verify that you're using the same version of Struts with both deployments. Check if strust.jar file size is the same. This looks like struts version issue.

Why Photoshop is slow when using tools like brush or clone stamp?

I'm on a Dell XPS laptop, Win 8.1, Core 7i, 16 Gb RAM, SSD. Working on a 1 Gb 16 bit file that has aroudnd 20 layers.
When i'm using any painting or retouching tools, it takes a long until my brush stroke actually appear on the image instead seeing it instantly. I draw a line and the hourglass icon stays for 3-10 seconds on the screen before the line shows.
Meanwhile task manager says: 10-15% CPU usage, 45-50% memory and the disk and network is under 5%
What could cause this issue?

Brush size 10, spacing 5%.
But it's the same problem in clone stamp, where the current brush is 15 px with 25% spacing.

HT4325 Why is music "spotty" when using Airplay

Sending music from my laptop to AppleTV thru airplay and the reception is spotty. Why?

Same here. I'm using iPod touch 4, together with an iRig MIDI, Sampletank, and some keyboards. My mixer is mono (most live gigs are in mono anyway) so I need the iPod to send mono. But it's barely hearable with the Mono Audio setting.

Since upgrading to Lion why does Safari freeze when using an email link?

I have a 21.5 in iMac (purchased late 2009). Ever since I upgraded to Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 I have had problems opening links from my email. Safari is my default browser, and now I when I open a link from my Mail, the browser functions do not respond. The page freezes and does not allow me to scroll at all, nor will any of the links work for me to click on what should be an active link. When I open a new browser page, it is fine--whether Safari, Firefox or Chrome. It's just when I open from Mail.
Anyone else reporting this, and is there something I need to change to make it work? I'm not very technical with the Apple products...thanks!

Thanks again but I have no peripheral devices connected. It's very annoying whenever I close the lid the logo stays lit and the computer does not go to sleep (light on front stays solid white). Each time it happens I have to open and close the lid 3-4 times before it finally goes to sleep. It's as if the computer gets hung up trying to go to sleep.
