Why setAttribute not in correct order?

Hi All,
I just got a question, why the setAttribute method generate a wrong order of attributes. In my following fucntion, suppose the name attribute is first created, but when I check my xml file, it becomes the 2nd attribute.
any mistakes in my code?
public void SaveXmlNode(Document doc, Element parentNode)
        Element rootElement = doc.createElement("People");
        rootElement.setAttribute("Name", this.name);
        rootElement.setAttribute("Sex", this.sex);
        rootElement.setAttribute("Phone", Integer.toString(this.phone));
        parentNode.appendChild(rootElement);
    }

Sure, just read the XML file as a character string and use something like regular expresions to locate the attributes. Then you can arrange them any way you want.
But, if you want XML-aware methods, they will constantly frustrate you because they will never do what you want with the sequence of attributes.
