Why we need live cache along with RDB in APO

Hello Expert,
I recently entered to APO module so want to know about live cache and why we really need comparing to RDB and what RDB cannot do that live cache can do?

Functionalities are pretty much the same. LiveCache is a relational Database, built on MaxDB.
Advantage of LC is that most of the data is stored in memory rather than on disk storage. Data access and retrieval is substantially faster from memory than from disk storage.

Also check your Joins.
May be you are missing something else.
Thatz the reason all the four supplier combination are repeated.
Go through ur joins again.
Don't forget to use any number column as nvl(nu_balance_qty,0).

Live Cache error with message number /SAPAPO/OM028

Hi Experts,
When I run RLCDEL program for deletion of obsolete SNP orders in the back ground , system shows livecache error alert with message number /SAPAPO/OM028 in the deletion job log. The details of message is "invalid order" or ABAP programming error. Live cache consistency checks are not resolving issue. Product release is 5.1 with SP08. Please suggest a resolution

Hi Raghav,
The sap notes 642503 & 973244 will fix your issue but they are for
versions 4.0 and 5.0 respectively.
You can write to SAP by creating a OSS message to update these
two message for version 5.1
This will resolve your issue

Why are Add-on Buttons along with the Toolbar keep disappearing in the Firefox4,5&9?

I arrange all the Add-on Buttons on a Toolbar created for this specific purpose(Options - Toolbar Layout - Add New Toolbar). I recently upgraded from Firefox 3.6 to Firefox 12 and that's when the trouble started.All the Add-on Buttons along with the Toolbar started disappearing.I checked if any of the add-on (one by one)is causing this problem but found nothing.But the Add-on Buttons work fine when arranged on the Status Bar(now the so called Addon Bar).
Later I found out that this particular problem exists in all the Browsers based on Firefox's latest version(Pale Moon,Cometbird,Wyzo,Epic etc). That means something is causing this toolbar to disappear in the latest versions of Firefox(i.e., Firefox 4,5,10 and Firefox 12). So please help me to rectify this problem.I am impressed by the improvements made in the latest versions of Firefox but due to this problem Firefox has become useless for me.
Don't tell me about "places.sqlite" "localstore.rdf" and all that shit.I've searched the whole God damned Web,Tried changing to new Profile,Deleted localstore.rdf and saw whether it will work.This is my last resort. Firefox 3.6 was a great browser.Within a span of one year you morons have jumped from Firefox v3.6 to Firefox v12! Not allowing the Extension ecosystem to stabilize.Giving no time to apps developers to catchup.The App developers have fallen behind and half of my addons are not working.You people have become an example on how to kill a great product.The guys at MS might be watching in delight the Firefox's harakiri!

Since I only ever put add-on buttons on the main Navigation toolbar (or the Add-ons bar) rather than my own custom bar, I haven't experienced this myself.
Can you detect a pattern with particular add-ons' buttons (or native Firefox buttons) being removed time and again?
In your new profile test, did you add extensions one at a time (one per restart of Firefox), or otherwise try to isolate particular add-ons as the issue? (Bugzilla has at least one example of an extension causing a problem with custom toolbars: [https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=667627 667627 – divx html5 removes added toolbars]. I don't see this particular extension on your list.)
I wonder whether some extensions now include some kind of grooming function or incompatibility that removes their buttons from custom toolbars? It would be easier to investigate with some problem examples.

Need Clarification on using cache along with JPA

I am using Oracle Coherence 3.5 and Jdeveloper 11g.
I have written a sample program which implements CacheStore which performs the following operations:
Insert, Update, Delete
Configured cache-config.xml file in whcih the element cachestore-scheme is used to invoke the corressponding class and the table name.
When I tried to run the cache using the JPA-Cache-server.bat I got the values accordingly. But each and every time the data is fetched from Database. I am using distributed-scheme in the configuration file. How do I configure the file such that for the first time the values comes form DB and then next time I get values from cache.
I used the same cache name in another program and tried to retrieve the values from cache but i got only null values:(
I will be very thank full to you if any one helps me on this.

I did not change any data in DB. I tried changing data in DB and then tested I got the updated content.

How to install Live cache in SCM 5 for APO

Hi gurus...
i have recently installed scm 5 on windows 2003 server with sp1 ,oracle 10g as database..
i have entered trans lc10 and saved it.
now when i click on livecache monitoring it's showing errors like this
LiveCache :display error log
Name and server      :MMS-skynet
DBMRFC Function :DBM_Connect
Error                      : DMB error
Return Code           : -4
Error Message        :database instance not found...
any help will be grateful to me as i am struggling to find a solution for this problem

What is Live Cache in APO

Hi Gurus,
I am working on APO datasource in SNP,
How do the live cache filled up? I have built a cube top of a custom datasource (9AZSNP), everything works fine and i want to know what is behind the live cache, is it directly a user entry planning version template or any underlying tables.

The datasource will use only planning version template, and data will trabsfer from Planning area to BW. Regarding Liveche you talk to APO guys,,, it will store data and it is dynamic..

LC-10 - Live cache

Hi Guys,
IF i stopped live cache in LC-10 , what happen to the system , specially to the dynamic data's in live cache , how will it impact APO system and R/3 system
if i want to bring back to original status of live cache what i have to do
Right now i stopped and started again live cache, then i went to apo system and opened product view of particular product system says live cache not available
but the live cache i started again
Please give some feed back on this issue

here is my exact problem, currently two system APO and R/3 is running smoothly with CIF
Accidentally i stopped LiveCache and started again
but when i go to apo Product view , i entered the product and location to view those existing planned order and sales order
But the system says that LiveCache not available
Please explain what is the reason for it , i need to activate all the integration models in R/3 again
please some one help me in this regard

Data Display table along with Graph

As per my knowledge we are not having any option currently for displaying data table along with graph.
This plot data table can have plot name along with current data.
See the sample below. Many times I need to display number of parameters on graph and current value need to see along with graph.
It will very useful if I get something like this in next version.

Dialog structure along with table maintenance

Hi All,
I need dialog structure along with table maintenance screen. Dialog structure should have nodes in it.
I have two table maintenance now. My dialog structure should have two nodes in that, if i click on first node my first table maintenance should get displayed. One more node under the first node should get displayed when i double click on any of the entries on the first table maintenance.
Path for the example screen like which my screen should look like,
ICLIMG --> Claims -->Business setting --> Correspondence --> Define cliam documents.

Need additional field populated along with this FMS on Market Docs

During creation of a marketing doc such as Sales order, the user searches for the item which has this query loaded into item field.

Search of item field displays other info such as quanitty in warehouse and warehouse along with item code. In above case the warehouse is 02 for maanger profile.
However, on selecting any of the above items, the warehouse displayed on sales order is 01 (not 02 which is what it should have been). Why did not the relevant warehouse 02 get loaded?
How can I over come this without using just the above FMS query. Do I have to use another FMS query for warehouse field also?

FMS query will only return the first column from the query result. Whatever displayed will be irrelevant. If you need Warehouse 02, FMS has to be set on warehouse column with the whscode as first column.

Need to Copy a subform along with content from one page to another page

I am new to Adobe Live Cycle .
I am facing a particular problem in one scenario.
I have a growing list of item i.e the number of Items are uncertain. I have put all these item in a sub form.
Now I need a copy of this sub form from the First page to the 2nd Page.
Basically , I want to copy a Subform along with the content from one page to another.
Can anybody please help me.

In source project open Tempo List (the one that is a list editor). Select all tempo changes and "copy them (command+c)
close project
Open destination project, open Tempo List delete all information and paste (command+V). Remember that Logic should be stopped at the exact position where the first tempo event happens. This is ussually 1.1.1.1, but check it in the source before closing it.

Is Live Cache System refresh required with APO refresh

Hi APO Experts:
   I have a question concerning the refresh of an APO QAS system. \
   If I have an APO system refreshed from a production APO system, is it required that I refresh the Live Cache as well?
   We have just refreshed our APO QAS system from production and I was thinking it could be easier to just reinstall a new database for Live cache in QAS then refreshing it from production Live Cache......

I think LiveCach refresh with production is not required. But you need to down the LC and then start it.
LiveCach is a temporary storage area and it will refresh with database.

Confused if i need the enterprise DPS along with enterprise license from Apple

Do I need to buy the Enterprise DPS if I already have a Enterprise developers license with Apple? I want to develope in-house apps with indesign but everywhere i read no body gives a straight answer.
I have "creative cloud membership" which includes a single edition DPS already so I have single edition DPS now. I want to build an app using indesign and dps but host it on my own server. Can I do this with my single edition along with my enterprise developer licnese from Apple? Or do I have to buy the enterprise DPS to go along with my enterprise developers license from Apple?

You will need an Enterprise DPS account along with the Enterprise Apple account. There is nothing ambiguous about this.
And you really need to read Apple’s license very carefully about private distribution. They are very strict about anything not going through the app strore.
