I recently have had my ipad2, I am not really that technically minded and I am trying to get my photos off my computer onto my iPad. I have sync from my iTunes and picked the photos from my pictures on my pc, however they didn't all download......is there a max number of photos or is there a better way of doing it! can anyone help plse!
I have had the same problem with mine. Just been through the online helpdesk and found this article. Basically you need to ensure the file extension (eg .jpg) appears after the file name in orer for the pictures to sync with your apple device. Hope this helps

I just want to know how I can have all my photos back on my phone
When photos are added to the photo stream album on a device (either due to a new photo having been taken or having been synced from another device using the stream) they remain in the album. However, the syncing process involves copying the photos to the photo stream server where they are kept for a maximum of 30 days, up to 1000 photos. If a device is reset or the stream is turned off or turned back on again (or in your case, the device was repaired), the photos that were on the device's photo stream album are gone and the only ones to appear are those that are currently on the servers (recall the 30 day limit).
If some of your photos are older than 30 days, then they are no longer stored on the cloud and hence are not synced down to the iphone.
Recall, photo stream is just a syncing service, it is not designed as a storage service for photos. Always sync photos to a computer for archiving. -
I get this pop up when trying to create a photo book through the iPhoto store.
"Some or all of the photos you selected were downloaded from your published albums. You can only view these photos. To use them in an album or a slideshow or project, you must import them to your photo library."
The photos I have selected have already been imported so how and why do I do it all over again?
What do they mean by published albums? I categorize them into photo albums for organizational purposes after I import them from my camera or phone. So why can't I put them into a book now?
I have over 400 photos selected for a photo book for my child's graduation gift so how can I tell which photos I have to do this to?
Please help. Any insight wouyld be appreciated.
Confused and frustrated...Give this a try: apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.

Recently got a new computer and downloaded iTunes. All of my music has downloaded from the cloud witht the exception of one song. I have tried transferring from my phone, but it won't work. How do I get it back without having to download again?

After restoring from backup on iCloud, my photos have been "downloading" for 2 days with no progress at all. Everything else seems to by fine, however. I have all my apps, contacts, even my photostream back, but my camera roll has said "downloading 137 of 1,345" for two days. I really don't want to have to start over as the whole process took almost 3 hours. Help?
Someone mentioned that syncing with ITunes, making sure that photos are being synced - even with an empty folder, fixed the problem. I tried it and it didn't work for me. Anyone got any answers that don't include losing the photos or erasing and restoring from backup again?

On a new device you can only download what is currently stored in "My Photo Stream" in iCloud. iCloud keeps up to the last 1000 photos, but only the photos, that have been added during the last month. Older photos may be removed, when the time is up. On other devices you may be seeing older photos as well in "My Photo Stream", that will depend on the available storage on those devices, and when the Photo Stream has been enabled on those devices, see: My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support
If you are seeing other photos in the Photo Stream on other devices, that you want to save, mail them to you from the other devices.
Have you tried to restore your iPhone from the last iCloud backup of the old phone? The backup will contain the photos in the Camera Roll, but not the photos in Photo Stream. iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes -
Upgraded from ios4 to ios 6 and lost all apps i had downloaded and some photos?
I upgraded an ipad2 from ios4 to ios 6 and once all was done, all my apps, purchased and free ones were gone - and some of my pictures. Any idea? I do not dare doing another "resore backup" ... Any help?
A few comments:
You will eventually be able to retrieve all your apps. You will be able to go to the App Store on your iPad, click "Updates" in the lower right, click "Purchased" and re-download them from there (but be careful - download them one at a time).
It sounds like the reason the photos and apps did not appear is you may have run out of memory on the iPad. The new iOS offers more features, and is somewhat bigger than the old. Check Settings > General > Usage and see how much space you have left and what the big space consumers are. You should do housekeeping to get an absolute minimum of 10% of the space on your iPad free. For example, if you have a 16GB iPad, you would need absolutely no less than 1.6GB free.
You said "I do not dare doing another restore ...". On the contrary, you should update your iOS at every opportunity to avoid these giant updates such as you just did. You went from iOS 4 to 6, which means it's been over a year and a half since your last update. If you did them more frequently, they would be less dramatic. -
Mountain Lion won't allow me to save photos from Mail directly to iPhoto (as you could in all other recent OSX). Tried opening iPhoto and then click/drag each photo onto iPhoto icon on dock (as Help instructed) but the photo will not drag. Suggestions?
I have real a lot of posts that say to click Command+Option while opening iPhoto and this will open the Photo Library Repair window, but... this is not happening.
Be sure you're holding the correct keys and that you're holding them long enough. Depress them before clicking on iPhoto and don't let go until the menu shows up.
If you don't want to lose those photos, make a back up now. Hopefully it's not too late. -
okay. when i connected my iphone 5 to itunes it replaced all of the data from my old iphone 3gs (contacts, apps, notes, bookmarks,photos, music, everything you can possibly think of) with my new iphone 5's data. I am so frustrated with this. Why? and it did it by itself, i didnt touch anything, or clicked anything. please help me this is urgent! I am a businessman and need my contacts.
You're iPhone was probably set to automatically sync with your iTunes upon plugging it in. Best option is to restore from a backup, either on iCloud or your computer.

i have recently installed icloud on my pc & have activated photo stream on my iphone. only a portion of the photos from my phone are now available on my pc. Why haven't they all transferred over?
When you turn on photo stream on a device that is the source of photos, only the photos you take in the future will sync to the stream, not the photos currently in the camera roll.
When you turn on photo stream on a device or computer that will receive photos from other devices, only the photos that have been on the servers for the past 30 days will sync, all older photos have been deleted from the servers.
To sync camera roll photos that weren't part of photo stream, you need to sync them manually using itunes. -
All of a sudden my photostream on my iPad is down to 102 photos from 900, and it won't retrieve photos from my phone anymore.
Does anyone know what's going on? TIAPhotoStream is a convenient way to have photos available on multiple devices but it is not a long term storage or backup site for photos. There is a limit to the number of photos that will be kept on your photostresm and a 30 limit for photos. If you haven't already done so back up your photos to your computer.

So I used to have an iPhone 5 with 7000+ photos inc videos. I finally decided to free up some memory by exporting the entire camera roll into a specific folder on my windows pc. In the album are all the photos and videos, matching the content from my camera roll (obviously). Now I have the 5S and would like the entire library of photos back into my photos app. So obviously it was as simple as plugging in my iPhone and clicking the photos tab, then 'Sync Photos from' and choosing that specific folder that I had previous exported my camera roll into. I then ticked the include videos checkbox. After the sync was completed, I then went onto my photo album and found the correct album being listed. However the number of photos on the iphone album did not match the number of photos in the actual album on my windows pc. Then I realised the reason.. the videos have not transferred? I've tried resyncing several times. iTunes identifies the album to exist the correct number of photos/videos as it should do, yet my iphone still has not imported any videos. Is there anything i'm doing wrong?! Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi. I am having difficulty deleting photos from icloud - which in turn affects my 3rd generation ipad. Photos were added to icloud from my pc and then automatically added to ipad. I deleted photos from pc (not successful), attempted to reset icloud photo stream on ipad (not successful) and would appreciate any guidance as to how to remove these photos from an ipad that does not give me the option to do so. I have read other responses that lead me to believe it is not possible but hope this is not the case

I have a ipod nano(1st Gen.). I bought a itunes card, and have $15.34 as a balance. It won't let me purchase songs and deduct the money from my account balance. I get a message saying "we can not download [title of song] to this device") why? I've downloaded hundreds of songs before.Why not now???
The reason is licensing - artists/record companies/TV networks/movie distributors all have separate licensing deals in different countries (or no licensing deals at all). It isn't mysterious or secret.
The only way around this is to have an iTunes account in the other country - either a valid credit card with billing address in that country, or an iTunes gift card from that country (though you'll still be asked for a billing address in the country for which you've purchased the card).
