Why won't certain texts go through?

I have one number in my contact list that keeps getting the red exclamation mark every time I text it. They used to go through and now they don't. Anyone know why?

Have you verified you're using the correct number? Have you verified the contact you're trying to SMS has not blocked your number?

    Motherto2, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't able to turn your phone on! I know how important it is to rely on a phone, especially when traveling. I'm hoping this issue has been resolved, but if you still need assistance I can provide a few steps. First try clearing your system cache.
1. Boot into recovery
   o Press and hold Power, Choose "Restart" option
   o When screen turns off, press and hold Volume Down and Power
2. When the white HBOOT screen appears, use the volume button to move down to “RECOVERY.”
3. Press the Power button to select “RECOVERY.”
4. When the triangle and exclamation appears, hold the Volume Up and Power button at the same time.
5. Using the volume button, scroll down to “Wipe cache partition” and select it.
6. Select "Reboot system now"
If this is still not going thru, attempt an alternate master reset. http://goo.gl/MSrgE
If your phone is still not booting up after these steps, the device may need to be replaced thru warranty. Let me know if you still need assistance.

Why won't the text show on top of a rectangle?

When I use the rectangle frame tool to make a box and then put a text box on top it doesn't let the text show.
This first picture is of my text box off the side, and then the yellow box I'm trying to put the text on top of, the second picture is what it shows me when I try to do that. It will show the text anywhere as long as it's not on top of a box and I can't figure out why or how to change it.

Select your rectangle and turn off the Text Wrap

Select your text box and set it to Ignore Text Wrap

in your preferences, set Text Wrap Affects Only Items Beneath. (not sure of the wording, but that's the jist.)

HT204370 Why won't certain episodes download?

I bought a season of Breaking Bad and some episodes will not dowbnload. Why?

It's set to manuall sync. We have 4 ipods now in the house, so we need to manually sync. I think I found the problem. The albums in question were given to us on a dvd. I uploaded them and they are on one of the ipods, they won't sync to this new one though. I did some digging and the music files are not on my hard drive. Can I transfer them from the original ipod to the computer and then on to the new ipod?

I have no clue what has happened! I had some airport extreme trouble (no clue why, but my extreme is constantly dropping my signal, but that is another post!) and did my usual steps to correct it (unplug and replug several times). Now I have an internet connection again. My network diagnostics show my internet as "working." HOWEVER, some websites don't work and I cannot log into any messenger account through Adium. For instance, CNN and Google don't work. Why the selectivity? What is going on???? I have no clue how to resolve this. Help me!

You may be having a DNS problem. Try going to System Preferences>Network and click on the Advanced button and then select the DNS tab. Delete any DNS that you might have and use the DNS's from OpenDNS (use the plus key to add):

208.67.220.220
See if you can access those websites now.

Why won't a Text Entry Box (set for numbers) allow decimals?

I want the user to enter a decimal number in a TEB, for e.g. 1234.56.
I've set the TEB to accept numbers only. It will accept 123456 but will not accept 1234.56 with a decimal (won't accept a decimal at any number position).
Does anyone know if this is a bug or a restriction of the numbered TEB?

Yes, numbered TEB's don't recognize decimals. You can use a normal TEB, without restriction to numbers.

HT2729 Why won't certain videos (downloaded from iTunes) sync on my iPod?

I have a new iPod Classic and it won't sync some of my videos. I've reset it. I've got everything checked. All files and videos play in my library. There all in the same location and files. Its After syncing I get the "some videos were not synced because the format is not supported". All the vids were downloaded from iTunes Store. WTH? Can anyone think of a solution? What is wrong?

Great question. iTunes defaults to downloading HD content when available, whereas your iPod classic is not compatible with HD playback. The solution would be to download the SD version of the content from your purchase history:

The easiest way to put purchased videos onto your device is to download the videos from iTunes in the Cloud. This should make sure that you get the highest resolution video optimized for your specific device.

Why won't my text align right in Live View or Browsers?

I created a class called .reviewer so the the name of the reviewer would align right while the the review itself remains aligned to the left. I applied the class to the reviewer's name and in design view, it looks perfect. But in Live view and when I preview in a browser, the text remains aligned left. I put this class in two external style sheets, main.css and mainReviews.css.

Why won't my text-tone play?

I have the new iPhone 4s and the latest software update. I recently purchased a new alert tone from the iTunes store. I open up my sounds/settings and for my text alrert, I click on my newly purchased tone and it previews totally fine. So I select it. But then when someone texts me, it doesn't play the sound. If I pick one of the sounds that came with the phone, it plays those when I receive a text.
How do I get the sound that I purcahsed, to be used for the text?

Try turning off your phone by holding the Sleep and Home Button until the Apple Logo appears. It'll soft reset your phone to start up again. I was having this same exact problem. Simply turning off the phone this way resolved my issue.

Why won't my text tone change with ios5?

i have gone to settings/sound /text tone and have tried several different choices but every time i recieve a text it allways uses thhe Electronic tone.
my calender alerts and ring tones are working fine but for some reason the text tone refuses to change. i have a 3GS.

Change the text tone under sounds in setup the go to your contacts pick a contact and change the text tone to default it should then use what ever text tone you set in sounds. Hope it works for you as it did for me.

Why won't my iMessages go through to my friend but works with others? iMessage is activated on both phones

I can iMessage friends and they receive my messages except for one friend who has not been receiving my iMessages sent to him. If I turn off iMessages he receives my text messages. I can receive iMessages from him and reply but I can not initiate the iMessage. My iMessages are going out successfully to others. I have done a hard restart, turned iMessage off and back on, and deleted his contact info and added it back to my contacts.

Is there a not sent indicator on the message initiated by you, or is the message sent but not received?
If no problem with anyone else and the only problem is on the recipient's end, doubtful the problem is on your end.

I'm calling from Australia to the USA. The no. dials and then hangs up shortly afterwards, this doesn't happen when I try to call other USA no.s in other area codes. I'm trying to call a number with the area code 425

Why won't certain cd's I imported sync to my phone?

Some songs that I imported from a CD will not sync to my phone. They can play on my computer and when I look at Whats on this phone on Itunes it says that the playlist is there, but it is all gray and doesnt actually show up on my phone. Can anyone help me?
