Wifi sharing video files with Samsung HDD/Blu Ray player

How do I find my Samsung BD/HDD player and send video files to it? The manual says I need to download 'PC Share Manager' (yuk) surely I can just hunt for it on the network?
It's def connected, cos it's picking up stuff off the internet, but I want it to talk to the Mac!
Thanks,
Tim

No, there is no connection on the back of the C6500 to connect with the iPhone. You would also have to activate a tethering account ($25 per month) with AT&T if it was physically possible.

  • Sharing video file with non CC member

    Dear All,
I have to share a large video file with a client who is NOT a creative cloud subscriber.  Can I do that?  How does the other person gain access to my creative cloud storage in order to download the video?  I am a Creative Cloud monthly subscriber.  Thanks

    Thanks Nancy.
    Creative Cloud Connection
The install for Creative Cloud Connection ("desktop sync") is available from the Creative Cloud Apps page at https://creative.adobe.com/apps or from the Adobe Application Manager. But it seems you already have it installed an just need to launch it.
Which operating system are you on? On Windows you can launch Creative Cloud Connection from the Start Menu, and on Mac OS X from the Applications folder. Once launched it will re-open upon computer restart by default. You can change this if wanted via the Preferences.
    Your Online File Storage
Just sign in with your Adobe ID at https://creative.adobe.com. You should see a Files menu in the top left of the web application.
From the Actions menu you can choose Upload to upload files. You can also drag and drop upload files (but not folders) from the Windows Explorer / Mac OS X Finder to the browser.
As a subscriber you should take advantage of the 20 GB storage provided for an individual subscription. There are some restrictions we have around certian file types, but we are working to improve that.

  • Sharing iPhoto with my LG Blue Ray player

I would like to share my iPhoto to my network connected LG Blue Ray player, but for some reason, iPhoto is grayed out and I am unable to add it to my shared folders.

iPhoto is an application - the photos are in the iPhoto library which is a relational database
Where are you trying to access your photos and what software are you using? Maybe that software does not use the Apple APIs to access the iPhoto database

  • HDTV with built in Blu-Ray Player

I posted earlier and the subject was incorrect.  What I am looking for is a flat screen tv that I can mount on the wall that has a built in blu-ray player.  I see many tvs that have built in dvd players, but I want the blu-ray.

I have not seen any units with built in Blu-ray.  IMHO such combos are far inferior to seperate player/TV.  Shop very carfully, the tradeoffs to get the blu-ray to fit in the TV chassis are significant, and often eliminate many options that you might want.

  • Are *.MPEG2TS files somthing a software Blu-ray player should recognise?

Purchased Product = WinDVD 9 plus Blu-ray as a retail boxed product from PC World in the UK.
Problem = Above product does not appear to support reading Blu-ray files created in Adobe Encore CS3.
Adobe Encore CS3 user manual states = Building the finished product - Blu-ray folder builds a Blu-ray directory folder structure on your hard drive. You can play the program using a Blu-ray software player and the directory behaves behaves just like a disc, including having full navigational abilities.
The rusulting folder produce by Adobe contains, amongst other sub-folders, a list of files in a BDMV folder with a sub-folder named Stream which contains a list of files with MPEG2TS extensions (i.e. *.MPEG2TS).
The Blu-ray folder has been built in 1080p resolution.
I purchased WinDVD 9 plus Blu-ray software in order to play the Blu-ray files prior to burning to Blu-ray Discs. The retail box states on the outside that the product supports MPEG-2 HD.
Therefore my question is this, are the *.MPEG2TS Adobe encore files produced not a universal standard and what is the difference between *.MPEG2TS and MPEG-2HD.
Computer is a Sony Vaio VGN-AR71ZU Laptop running Vista Ultimate SP1 with two e-SATA external HDD enclosures connected via Sonett Tempo SATA ExpressCard|34 interface. System drive consists of two 320Gb HDD's in RAID 0 configuration, and a Blu-ray Read/Write optical drive. In Standard Definition the files are contained within the Video-TS folder and work fine.

  • Will keyboards work with my lg blu ray player

From what I could find it does not support keyboards.

  • How do I program my remote to work for my satellite and Blu Ray player?

I recently purchased the 55 in LED Toshiba tv model number 42SL417U and I am having trouble finding the instructions on how to program it to work with my Sony Blu Ray player and Satellite. I went to product support and could not find a topic on how to program the remote.

Information on how to program your remote is available on page 79 of your user's guide.
The TV also has CEC functionality to control other CEC-enabled, HDMI-connected devices. More information about this is on page 19 of the user's guide.

  • Share files on Time Capsule with wireless Blu Ray player?

We're looking at getting a Blu Ray player with built in wireless to take advantage of Amazon Prime streaming and Hulu Plus. Star Trek; TNG remastered on Bl Ray also promped me in this decision!
We already have an AppleTV and tried jailbreaking to get access to Hulu and Amazon, but the hack caused numerous issues, so back to stock it went.
I have also started ripping all of my DVDs and importing them into iTunes, but with a baby in the house it's REALLY an issue to always have a laptop open and running whenever we want to watch one of our movies. I've looked at a number of Blu Ray players that include DLNA capabilities, plus file sharing via SMBA and UPNP. My question is, will the Time Capsule serve up those files to the player? I tried DLNA shares directly through our Samsung HDTV before and it just did not work.
Does anyone have experience with a make/model of Blu Ray player playing nicely with a Time Capsule and/or an additional storage device attached to a Time Capsule?
I have also read that I absolutely, positively do NOT want to go wireless, but to use Ethernet instead. Our TV is clear on the other side of the house from the modem/Time Capsule so I'd have to pull at least 100 feet of cable to make that happen. I don't think there's any conduit into the attic at the front of the house either, since the cable box comes in in from the exterior wall, so it could be a real job. Any thoughts on that?

There are no media players in the TC whatsoever.. it is completely dumb box.. and is unsuitable as a media centre.. it is not even a file store, as it has no way to back itself up.. it is a backup target for Time Machine.
If you want DLNA you need to run a computer of some sort and use a player that can read the files and play them directly.. ie no streaming.
On the wireless to other side of the house, I do think you will have issues. Ethernet is still far superior solution and if you own the house consider it an investment in future usage.
But for now Ethernet Over Power adapters can offer superior performance to wireless and far better reliability. They are not without issues, so buy from store that offers no questions asked return.. and don't bother too much with super fast ones.. the 200mbit/s are already well above what is reality. You cannot use them on power boards generally so you also might need to think of ways around that.
If you do get stuck with wireless the TC is slow.. 2.4ghz is only 130mbps.. and range is not great. I would recommend a different device like ubiquiti router that offers high power and long range.

  • How do i make a still image (photo) fit the length of the music? I record music and want to put the tracks to a video file with a still image of my business logo in the background. Any help?

How do I make a still image (photo) fit the length of the music? I record music and want to convert the tracks to a video file with a still image of my business logo in the background. On windows movie maker you could just select "fit to music" but this program isnt as easy to figure out! Any help?

Double-click on the still image in the project timeline to open the Inspector. In the Inspector, adjust the duration by typing in a new duration to match the length of your music. I think the limit for a still image is 10 minutes. If you need more than this, simply drag the image into the timeline again then adjust its duration. The two images will play seamlessly (no gap will be visible).
    See this iMovie Help topic:
    http://help.apple.com/imovie/#mov3a883915
You can achieve more precision when entering durations by changing a preference in the menu item iMovie Preferences. Check (tick) the preference for Show Time As HH:MM:SS:frames. This will enable you to enter the duration of stills down to the frame level, rather than full seconds (NTSC is 30 frames per second; PAL is 25 fps). When entering times, type a colon between each time segment, such as 2:50:15, which represents 2 minutes 50 seconds and 15 frames. For 5 seconds 20 frames you would enter 5:20 and so forth.
Note that the music will only run to the length of the video in the timeline (in your case, the still images). So, after increasing the stills duration you will need to drag the end of the music track as far as required. The stills can be dragged inwards to reduce the duration if necessary.

    Two problems :
1 - You can't merge catalogs in PSE
2 - The usual workaround is to 'write metadata to files', export the files and 'get' them into the other catalog. But you can't write metadata to files with video files.
The only thing you could do would be to duplicate the catalog and delete all pictures other than your ninety videos...

  • Video file with Power Director of Cyberlink

I work with the application ahead with the plugin MPEG4 (H.264). It works to create a video file with 320x240 and bitrate 1000kbit/s. Unfortunately the vidoefile doesn't run on my iPod, iTunes also. Are there any experiences where the problem could be?

    Hi Mr. Cutter,
There is an app called "D-Subtitler for Mac" (as well as several others)
which should allow you to extract the subtitles from a copy of the
finished dvd and use them otherwise.
It's been awhile since I had to do it but it is a fairly common need
    so the software exists.

  • How do you know when the person that you've shared the file with has downloaded the file?

After the person get the email that says "I am sharing these files with you.   Click on the image below to view or download your file.", how do you know that they've viewed or downloaded the file?  Do you get an email message or is there something in the shared status that lets you know?

Thank you for your post. Although this is a feature for Buzzword, right now it's not possible to know if someone has viewed a file you've sent via Share. We are working to integrate Share/My Files/Buzzword so that this will be corrected in future.
Let me know if you have additional questions.
