Will a creative cloud subscription work on my machine during internet interruption?

I am a professional in the entertainment business. I have Producton Premium CS5.5 installed on my machine. I wanted to upgrade to CS6 but the adobe representative kept recommending that I go with the cloud. I can't afford to have the program shutdown if there is an internet interuption or being unable to access the program if the internet service goes down. Does the cloud subscription actually install the program on my machine and I rent a monthly access license with internet storage space or is it all over the internet?

CC requires a monthly online check for a valid license. According to Todd Kopriva you will have a 99 day grace period (they plan to update to 180 days) if you go for an annual subscription. However, if you only plan an upgrade to CS6 and are not interested in the upcoming AE CC version I would consider a regular upgrade since you can use that even after you decide not to pay the rent. With CC you are provided with upgrades that you can use but don't have to but once your payments stop, you can not use the software anymore.

  • Will a creative cloud subscription allow me to use dps tools to create single edition apps for Samsu

Hi I'm looking to get a CC subscription. Will this let me create apps for the Samsung Galaxy?
At the moment I will only need to share these with clients using the email/sharing feature.
    Thanks for your help.

You can use the Adobe Content Viewer on large Android devices. It is unsupported on phones.
That said, Creative Cloud is way more than just DPS SE. If you're currently on CS3 or later you  can get the first year for only $29.99/month. You find the details here: http://bit.ly/MYZkDX

  • Link my Typekit Business plan to Creative cloud subscription? What will I pay?

So I have a Typekit Business Plan (10M) for my company. We pay monthly via creditcard ($200).
If I get a new Creative Cloud subscription, Typekit Portfolio is included. But the help page says my "existing Business or Enterprise plan will be unchanged when linked to a Creative Cloud subscription."
So what will I pay in total if I get a CC subscription? Is it included in the monthly fee I pay for Typekit? Or do I just pay for each plan (i.e. Typekit + CC)?
    Thanks,
    Joris

    Hi Joris,
I am sorry for any confusion here. Your Creative Cloud subscription includes a Typekit Portfolio plan. Since the Business plan is a higher level plan than what is included in Creative Cloud, you are billed separately for it.
You may link your Typekit account to your Creative Cloud subscription if you like, but you will still be billed monthly for your Business plan, using the credit card that is on file with your account.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to get in touch with us at [email protected]  Best,

  • My work just bought me a creative cloud subscription to replace my personal one.

My work just bought me a creative cloud subscription to replace my personal one now that I am using a work computor. I am trying to switch over to that license but I am being asked for a Serial Number even though it is a subscription. How to I completely log out of my Adobe ID and then start over with the new ID? Do I have to uninstall everything?

You should be able to Sign Out and then Sign In again with the Adobe Application Manager to switch accounts.

  • I have paid for creative cloud, photoshop works fine but it will not let me register lightroom

I have paid for creative cloud, photoshop works fine but it will not let me register Lightroom

Lightroom must be installed via the Creative Cloud Application.
It sounds like you have installed a Perpetual Licensed Version or a Trial Version of Lightroom. Uninstall any versions you have installed of Version 5 and then reinstall via the Creative Cloud App.

    Can anyone help me?

We cannot know. Even calling your post would be an exaggeration/ understatement, depending on how you want to see it. We need hard technical facts - operating system, computer specs, what is the exact error/ problem and so on.

  • Can I use my Creative Cloud subscription between a PC and a Mac?

The questions is pretty much that. I have a PC and a Mac laptop. I'd like to be able to switch between the two depending on where I am. Is this an option, as long as I have the programs / trial installed on both machines?

Yes you can install the software on MAC and PC both, with creative cloud subscription you will get 2 activation and work simultaneously on both the machines.

  • Creative Cloud subscription disapeared

Creative Cloud stopped working when I went on vacation from Bermuda to the USA on a cruiseship. Now it won't work back in Bermuda either and my account shows no record of ever paying for a subscription.
It lets me open the software in a trial version, which is strange because I already used up my trial time before subscribing for an education account (I work for a school in Canada).
I don't know if it has suddenly decided my country is Bermuda (I am Canadian and I live here part-time) and now doesn't want to let me use the product from here. Help is appreciated. Thanks!

  • Creative cloud subscription without internet access

Would there be a way to get the creative cloud subscription for my work with out using the internet monthly by paying the year in full. My workstation is not online and can't be, it is part of a internal network.

Hi there - the Creative Cloud FAQ states that you must have internet connection at least once a month:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html
Do I need ongoing Internet access to use my Creative Suite applications?
Because your Creative Suite applications are installed directly on your computer, you will not need an ongoing Internet connection to use them on a daily basis. However, you will need to be online when you install and license your software, and at least once every 30 days thereafter. The software will alert you when you need to connect to the Internet for a license status check.
...however, you may be able to call Customer Support to update your license status in person. I would try contacting customer service:
    800-833-6687 (M-F, 5am-7pm EST)
    or live chat.
An alternative solution for this is to install one or more applications on a secondary computer that you use outside of the internal network, say, a personal laptop. Since the Creative Cloud license allows for use on two devices, you could complete the monthly license check via the applications on your secondary computer. Doing so would validate your whole memberhsip, and all devices/applications linked to it.
Either way, I'd contact customer support just to be sure.
    Cheers! Good luck

  • Creative Cloud Subscription not showing in "My Account"

My creative Cloud Subscription is not showing up in my account. Why is this? I am being billed for it.

  • Expiring creative cloud subscription

My creative cloud subscription was originally for Photoshop CS6 only. I took advantage of the Black Friday offer of Photoshop and Lightroom for the same $9.95. I called Adobe and although there initially was confusion about how it all worked (I had already purchased Lightroom 5) they advised that they would cancel my account and initiate another. This was about Nov 21. Now I am receiving emails that my account has expired. I assume that this is in reference to the cancelled account but I really need confirmation that when this transitioned membership from paid to free expires, my paid membership on the new account will kick in and I will have uninterupted service?

    Hi sszuter,
    Welcome to Adobe Forum,
Yes you were provided CC at Adobe MAX 2013, regarding the extension, I have messaged you privately, please check.
Do feel free to inquire in future.

  • URGENT!!! CS6 programs keep saying "trial expired" even though I have a Creative Cloud subscription.

    Hello,
My CS6 programs keep saying that the trial edition is expired, even though I payed for my Creative Cloud subscription.
I have a deadline tonight, and really REALLY need indesign to work!!!.
    Please help me!!
I already tried the License Recoverer. Did not work, not even after a reboot and pressing 0...
    Arteau / Kezumi

    I'm having the SAME PROBLEM!!!
I know for a FACT that it is NOT something on my system because it ONLY happens with InDesign… ALL of the rest of the software from Creative Cloud works PERFECTLY.
I signed up for Adobe Creative Cloud on October 31, 2012 and I checked… my monthly payment was successfully made on Dec. 30th, so it SHOULD be up to date and working.… yet when I try to launch InDesign, instead of opening, I get a window that says,
"Your Trial Has Expired… Become a member…, etc".
My only choices from the Application Manager at this point, are to select the "Join Now" button… (Even though I've already joined)… OR I can select the "License This Software" button… WHICH I've already done SEVERAL TIMES previously. But if I do select this button, it APPEARS to Activate my Subscription… AGAIN.
At this point, after I select the "Close" button from the "SUBSCRIPTION ACTIVATED" window… I get ANOTHER window, saying that I have 0 days remaining to use the InDesign Trial software, giving me the option to BUY NOW, and there is also a button to "Start Trial" or another "License This Software" button…
If I select the "License This Software" button… it will once again APPEAR to Activate my Subscription… AGAIN. But then it once again gives me this same window again… starting the WHOLE process over and over and over again.
I tried running the update to InDesign, to see if this would resolve the problem… but it STILL gave me these SAME annoying windows over and over and over. I un-Installed InDesign and downloaded it again but it still does the SAME THING OVER AND OVER.
I've downloaded and used Photoshop, Illustrator, Muse, and Dreamweaver from Creative Cloud… some were downloaded BEFORE I downloaded InDesign and some were downloaded after I had the trouble with InDesign but NONE of the other software gives me this problem. It's ONLY with InDesign.
PLEASE HELP!!! I have a big job due and all of the work that I've already completed on this project was done with the so-called "Trial" version and I can't even open the file with my old version of InDesign. So I'm STUCK without it… It worked GREAT until this "TRIAL" period ran out… I subscribed  before I ever downloaded ANY of the Creative Cloud software, so I don't know why it was EVER consisdered a TRIAL to start with.
Thanks for any help you can give!
    ~Kim

  • After my 1 year Creative Cloud subscription is up and I choose not to renew, do I loose the ability

After my 1 year Creative Cloud subscription is up and I choose not to renew, do I loose the ability to use the software that was loaded to my PC?

    Short answer: yes.
    See also http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html#general-info
If I decide to stop my membership, will I still be able to use my Creative Suite software and the other components of Creative Cloud?
When you cancel a month-to-month or annual membership purchased directly from Adobe or let a 3- or 12-month prepaid membership purchased from a retailer expire, you will no longer have access to the Creative Suite applications, other desktop software, and services that are components of Creative Cloud. However, if you saved your work to your computer, you will continue to have access to those files. You will also have access to the same benefits as a free Creative Cloud member, which include 2GB of storage space (reduced from 20GB), the ability to sync and store your files, access to a free 30-day trial of the desktop software that has not already been installed and provisioned as part of your paid membership, and access to the free level of services included with Creative Cloud.

  • I have creative cloud subscription but it says free trial

I have a creative cloud subscription through my university. When I download photoshop though, it says I have a 30 day free trial. Anyone know why it says and what will happen after the 30 days are over?
