Automator Service to Upload to FTP and Send Email With Links
Hello.
Since updating my client server machines at work to 10.7, the automator workflow that I have been using for years isn't working correctly. Basically it's a simple workflow that uses upload to FTP action version 1.5 that uploads a video file to an FTp server, copies the links to the clipboard, creates new mail message and sends it.
For some reason, it only does 1 file at a time now. Interestingly, it uploads the files to the server but only sends the email with the first link this worked perfectly fine on 10.6 Before you could highlight 10 files and it would upload and send the links to all of them.
Basically, I think it's the upload to FTP action that is causing the problems. I need applescript to upload to the FTP and copy the url's and send the email. See attached screenshot of the workflow. I'm an applescript newbie so any help would be great.I don't know what is calling your function, but you should read the file before your call to the function and pass the contents as a byte array argument. You can process the byte array like you already do in your function.

How do I get my mail account to send email with photos when it keeps saying password wrong?
I have gone into system preferences and retyped it in there, and also gone to my hotmail account via safari and typed it in and it is correct.
I'm totally stuck with what to do, help anyone!You would create a rule that runs an applescript to do the rest of what you want. Since you don't want to use an applescript, I can't help.
You might want to search around for a third-party plugin that might do what you want. -
Workflow to send email with link to another list
First it should not matter that I want to link to another list. In the e-mail, I put the link of the list like this:
<a href=http://mysite/mylist/EditForm.aspx?ID=[%Current Item:ID%]>Click Here</a>
Of course, the names have changed to protect me... :-)
What I am getting is:
<a href=http://mysite/mylist/EditForm.aspx?ID=<http://mysite/mylist/EditForm.aspx?ID=9>Click Here</a>
So, instead of just the current ID number, I am getting the complete link.
How can I fix that?
Is there any way to get to a list item by the title instead of the ID?

In the email you do not need <a> tags. You can just use the hyperlink action to add the link to the text. See screen shot below.

I have recently got a new iphone 5 and I dropped it on to the rug on top of wooden flooring and the screen is now cracked. I have made an appointment at my nearest apple store but i still have to travel quite a bit. Will apple replace this phone or send mine away? I don't want to travel for nothing.

make sure you back up everything as if you exchange your iPhone will go and the Genius bar do not provide a backup service -
I love my apple email and do not want to use google mail on safari. However, I have 2 gmail accounts set up on apple mail, but when I send mail from one of my gmail accounts (I choose the specific gmail account in the drop down window), it actually goes out as if it is from the other gmail account. I can't have that happen because one is my job, the other is a personal business account and unfortunately, the mail from both gmail accounts want to send through the personal business account. How do I make it send from a specific gmail account? I even tried deleting the accounts and setting them up again hoping I set it up wrong in the first place, but to no avail, it is still doing the same thing except this time I set the job account up first and then the personal business account and now everything goes from the job account! The only good thing is that the incoming messages work properly and they go into the correct inbox. Somebody please fix my outbox!
In Mail Preferences/Accounts/each GMail account, set up the SMTP Outgoing Server for each account separately, going into SMTP name/edit/Advanced and specify the Username of each account. The Outgoing servers must be two different servers, authenticated by the Username and Password of each.
Otherwise, the GMail SMTP server will change the from address to that of the account where the SMTP server was setup.

Having problem to send email with POP account ...
Hi,
I didn't have that problem before upgrading to my new 3GS iPHone. I have 3 email accounts on my iPhone: POP (videotron.ca), GMail and MobileMe. They all work fine except my POP account.
From the POP account I can receive my email but I cannot send any. Funny enough, my emails are sent when the account is desactivated from my «Mail, contacts and Calendar» preferences on my iPhone.

I upgraded with the Iphone 3Gs a week ago and got the same problem with Videotron. The problem is with videotron as usual. If you want to be able to send email from your Iphone just go to Gmail, open an account FREE with them and then use this account to send Email...Work perfectly OK with me. Then of course you will have to phone videotron to make sure your account is fully available when you go on there Web site open the read email and be able to read your email if not solve the problem with them by phone. unless you will be able to send email easily with gmail and mather of fact it is free.

Sending email from different addresses under one account.

So, I'm having an issue that's a little bit complicated, and in fact, I don't even know if there is a solution. But, if anyone knows how to do this, I'd greatly appreciatte your help.
So, here's what I'm trying to do.
Right now, I have three different email accounts, an icloud and two gmails. I have both of those gmails set up so that they forward to my icloud account. So, in the mail app on my iphone, I only have my icloud account. I've been trying to reduce clutter by doing this, and it seems to be working pretty well, save for this issue.
The problem I am having is still being able to respond to emails sent to one of those two gmail accounts with the same email address. I.e.-if someone emails me at my gmail account, it's then forwarded to icloud, but I still want to respond from that gmail account using the mail app on my iphone. I'd like to do this without setting adding the two "dead" gmail accounts onto my phone, because everything is more streamlined when I'm only using icloud.
I've been able to do this using iMail on my mac by adding the two gmail addresses to my icloud account in settings, as well as the gmail server. So on my mac, I only have icloud set up in imail, but I can compose emails using my two gmail addresses. I pretty much want to be able to do the same thing on my iphone.
Does anyone know how this can, or even if, it can be set up?
Also, if it can't be done in the native mail app to ios, do you know of any third party apps where something like this would be possible?

When he replies to my email and changes the "send From"
to [email protected] and send the email, It will still show that it was sent from @mainDomain.com.
Now, I think the issue is within his Exchange mailbox, his default reply email address is @MainDomain.com.
A:You are right. By our testing. We could just send emails with primary address, but we could receive emails with primary address and second address.
How do I get around this. The client wants to utilize sending email from both domains since he has clients in both domains.
A: If we want to send email with specific email address, we could manually modify the primary email address to the specific domain by Exchange administrator. And the client didn’t use customized email address to send emails.

Twice I've asked Apple Support unsuccessfully to send me the link to updating my account profile
I downloaded Skype for WiFi on my iphone. I was asked for username and password and then two categories containing three options were presented for an answer related to security. I didn't connect Skype with having anything to do with Apple details, so I created new information and answered two questions. The App was successfully uploaded.
Subsequently, something popped up on my iMac computer asking me for my Apple ID and password. These two items were accepted, but when I was asked to answer two security questions, my answers were not accepted. After repeated attempts, I was barred for eight hours to use my account, after which time I could ask for my security questions to be updated, etc. I clicked on the link to Apple for them to send me the link to change my profile details. I did this twice as the first time I did not receive the expected response from Apple i.e. the link to a site where my profile could be updated. Now, the second attempt has failed to deliver this link, although both attempts I got the message "email sent etc...) So Apple, where is it. Can anyone please shed any light on my query or suggest to whom I should turn to for a response. There doesn't seem to be a direct contact for this type of question. First, I don't remember there being a question to provide a back up email address. If there had been I know I would have given my one and only email addres that I have. I was asked only to select the questions for which I would give memorable answers. Now, when I check my information in "Manage My Account" I see that the info there is correct, except for when I click on Password and Security to see what info is there, what I see are the two questions that I was initially asked answers for. I know that the answsers I give are the correct ones, yet I receive the following message: The Authentication Information provided does not match our records. Please verify your personal information and try again. I tried several more times to answer the questions but continued to receive the same response. Finally, I responded to "Forgot your answers?" and clicked on Send reset security info email to pxxx@btinternet. (To be honest, I've only just now realised that ther address was to my service provider, btinternet.com) Even so, I have never received an answer from this email address allowing me to reset my question/answer.
What also confuses me are the number of other Apple users complaining of much the same issue as I have, except that I thought they were referring to Apple when they mention that they too have not had a reply to their request to reset their question/answer.
For want of knowing where to go to next, I tried a Chat call to Mobile Me hoping that they could help. All they could say was that the link Password and Security in "Manage My Account" was an opportunity to reset the question to the answers, which has confused me even more. Help! -

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I have an iMac 7.1 and a pc in my office. My pc recieves all emails as well as my phone but on my iMac i receive them speradically. I checked with my ISP and there are no issues. I can send emails. I have a pop account. Please help in dire straits
Sorry, no idea at this point with so few details to go on. It will probably help if you'll post what version of Mac OS X you're running and who your email provider is. Someone then may have some ideas.

Why not just create an Apple ID for her and then you wont have any problems. Login on iMessage and Facetime using her ID and do the rest with your ID. It will work i tried it on my iPad
