Win7 C5180 No paper profiles installed to to use with Photoshop printing

Reinstalled C5180 from a download for Win 7.  Now I cannot access the Printer  profiles for Advanced and Premium Plus Photo papers made for the C5180, C6180, C8180 , which had previously been available with the initial installation of my C5180 in XP.  I used them with Photoshop  for correct Color Management.
How can I find and install them? I still have the original CD but do not like to use this in case it interferes with the new software downloaded for Win7. Any suggestions?

Hello,
1. Maybe you have to activate/deactivate, so please have a look there:
http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-deactivation-products.html
2, Sometimes, we know in the meantime, the "opm.db file" is the culprit. In this case you should delete it.
3. Did you already try "uninstalling and re-installing"?
Be careful with (de)installing aso. by (de)installing by your own resources. As much as I regret it and as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool.
Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)
I quote: ... helps resolve installation problems for Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite (CS3-CS6) applications. The tool removes installation records for prerelease installations of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications. It does not affect existing installations of previous versions of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications.
Please use: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html    and follow the prescribed sequence of operations
4.If necessary and for further questions click through http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html  and if "open" please use chat, I had the best experiences.
Good luck!

My printer died and I need a printer that is compatable with OS 9.1/9.2.  Some printers say they are compatible with OS 9.1/9.2 but do they need a driver or is it included with the install disk that comes with the printer?

As long as the printer is accurately described as being compatible with OS 9.1/9.2, if it needs to have software (such as drivers) installed that software should either be included (usual) or downloadable from the net(usually from the manufacyrer's website).
Not all non-Apple printers need drivers installed. Some, such as many Postscript ones that connect via ethernet, are quite comfortable using the LaserWriter 8 printware that's part of OS 9. Some of those, though, may need to have a model-specific PPD (Postscript Printer Description) installed, a small document that informs the printware of the capabilities of the printer.

There is no software to install, you simply insert the SIM card and (if necessary) modify the connection settings.
If you are referring to T-Mobile USA, they are not a supported carrier and no one here can assist you.
All of this assumes your device is either carrier locked to Tmobil or is an unlocked device.

  • DB Version Error when install SOA Suite using with DB 10G 10.2.0.1

    Hi,
I am trying to install SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0 in Windows XP environment where an Oracle 10g database 10.2.0.1 is pre-installed. When I try to use Advanced Installation, the system says that my database version should be 10.2.0.2 or higher. I couldn't find any 10.2.0.2 version or higher for Windows XP on Oracle download site. There is only 10.2.0.3 for Windows Vista. Anyone knows whether there is a workaround?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jeff

Hi, I met this problem some weeks early. I wrote a conlusion about this:
Update Oracle Database 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.2 on Windows XP
When I install Oracle SOA Suite 10g Release 3(10.1.3.x, soa_windows_x86_101310_disk1.zip download from http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/soa/index.html), a error occured. Because the version of Oracle Database on my laptop is 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.1). Then I download the update patch p4547817_10202_WINNT.zip from metalink.oracle.com and install the database without installing the starter database and instance (orcl). After this, use p4547817_10202_WINNT.zip to updata Oracle Database 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.2 and then use DBCA to install a new database and instance (orcl).
    Summary:
    1. patch: p4547817_10202_WINNT.zip downloaded from metalink.oracle.com
    2. only install Oracle database software, don't install any database or instance
    3. use p4547817_10202_WINNT.zip to update the database software
    4. use DBCA to install a new database
    Question:
    1. how to update when there already exist data in database?
    2. Oracle database express edition isn't stabile enough? Because there are always some error appear during SOA Order Booking demo using.

  • OWLCS install - trying to use with my Active Directory

    Experts,
I'm new to OWLCS but am very familiar with the Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g Stack. My end goal is to integrate OWLCS with WebCenter Spaces 11g (11.1.1.3). I have a Dev Environment where I have installed OWLCS (11.1.1.2) following the steps outlined in the Installation Guide, Oracle® WebLogic Communication Services Installation Guide 11g Release 1 (11.1.1) E13808-01.
I followed the instructions to setup an All-in-One Managed Server. I have an Admin server (owcs_AdminServer) and managed server (wlcs_server1) defined and started. I've also followed the instructions to update my Realm to "mycompany.com" and also remembered to update the /etc/hosts file with "mycompany.com".
I followed the remainder of the guide to test the installation with an Oracle Communicator Client.... I added test users using launch_sash, I successfully connected and saw my presence change and was able to communicat with another test user.
That was fine for testing... but, I need this connected to our LDAP (Active Directory) and then eventually to integrate with WebCenter Spaces. This is where I get lost...
I started following the Admin Guide, Configure Authentication Provider for OWLCS, in Section 5. But I'm confused over what type of authentication that is needed? Do I setup for Digest Authentication?
Being not quite sure, I started to follow the steps 5.7.4 Steps for Configuring Digest Authentication. First, I could not change my LDAP provider to store unecrypted passwords so I didn't change anything to the existing LDAP.
In 5.7.4.2 Reconfigure the DefaultAuthenticator Provider, I followed steps to change the DefaultAuthentication flag to "sufficient".
Next, I followed 5.7.4.3 and created an LDAP authentication provider for my Active Directory LDAP server. I checked my Users and Groups after restarting the Admin server and I can see my users and groups in the MyRealm Security Realm .
Here is where I need help... My LDAP admin is telling me that our LDAP cannot pass unencrypted passwords... so what are my options?
Do I really have to setup DigestAuthentication? What is the Credential Attribute Name that Active Directory LDAP users use?
Do I have to create a new Digest Authenticator?
I also have a few questions regarding the settings to Oracle Communicator but will wait until the above is resolved. I have some confusion on the settings on Oracle Communicator once the above is working. And then next, getting it to work with WebCenter Spaces.
    Thanks in advance,
    Phil

    Hi Phil,
Integration with Active Directory is not supported for OWLCS. We support LDAP integration with Oracle Internet Directory (OID) only.
Please refer to section 5.12 in the Admin Guide at:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e13806/securityoverview.htm#CJAJEFHF
There are several steps which need to be followed carefully to configure OWLCS with OID, including installing Static Verifier and modifying OWLCS server instance.
Please also keep in mind that OWLCS is not available for production use; it is limited to development, testing, and non-production use only. It is not licensable at this time for middleware customers.

  • Problems Installing FFMpegX for use with QuickTime and other software

Okay I don't know whether I should be posting this here or under the board for Using Mac OS X Panther and earlier operating systems but I used to have the FFMpegX video and audio conversion software installed on my Mac an Apple 12' PowerBook G4 but recently had a system OS reinstall when my hard disk became defective and I was unable to make repairs.
I backed up all my files but of course I couldn't back up the software I had downloaded. Was fortunately able to redownload some of my apps but this is a case where an app of mine I want back won't come back.
I download the installer and it fails to mount the disk image even on my desktop. I am running Mac OS 10.3.9 Panther -- I tried searching for an older version of ffmpegX I could download but that didn't work either. Since when is ffmpegX shareware? When I used it the software was freeware.
Anyways, it is such an essential program foir me that I would pay the fee just to get it back but I can't even download the trial software to begin with. I have tried downloading from the main website www.ffmpegX.com and a few other links I found on Google but to no alas none have seemed to work.
I have plenty of videos I like to encode and re-encode from time to time using my Mac from VOB 2 .DAT 2 AVI 2 MPEG 2 M4V (iPod format) 2 WMV 2 MOV etc and vice versa using Divx and XviD codecs I NEED FFMPEGX what can I do?
I have Mac OS 10.3.9 Panther with QuickTime 7.1.2, iTunes 6.0.5 the Apple Security Update 2006-003, Virex 7.2 virus protection software and Microsoft Office X with the latest patches for that software product and VLC Media Player. I need FFmpegX and/or (in either case actually drop the or) software for Mac OS X that allows users to convert video .DAT files from VCD to AVI.
I have Divx codec for Mac and 3ivx software with Divx Doctor II -- an AVI 2 MOV video conversion software + D Vision 3 also installed. I currently have installed Safari 1.3.2 also.
Any suggestions! Please help any way possible. I just have to get FFmegX working again.

  • Flash 10 install issues and use with PowerPoint

Hi feeling really frustrated now and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a quick solution.
I'm running Windows 7, Flash 10.0.32.18 (now the Beta 10.1 in desperation) and I haven't had to reinstall flash on start up until last night so that was an unfortunate down turn of events for me and not even the reason for searching the forums.
My issue started as I stood in front of one of my classes (I work in a College) with PowerPoint 2007 and a lesson ready to go and the Flash images that had always worked refused to be anything other than a still image with no interaction.
Unfortunately when I upgraded to Windows 7 I carried out a clean install and reinstalled Office along with the latest versions of Flash, Shockwave etc. I say unfortunately because I now have no way of knowing where the problem lie. On asking, Microsoft are adamant that it is an Adobe issue and the forum would seem to back this up.
On investigation I found that when looking at a slide the object was identified as a Flash object but I can't view any properties, also 'insert a shockwave flash object' is not available in the control toolbox. This would indicate that Flash is not installed even though viewing flash on the internet has not been an issue.
The last issue that may help toward a solution is that when trying to view an .swf file I'm informed that I need to have FlashPlayer installed (I have) and when trying to use a third party flash player such as SWF Opener it also asks me to install flash.
Like everyone else here I've installed, uninstalled all Flash etc. more times than I care to remember now.
I'm not that technically minded when it comes to the nitty gritty of software operation and programming, I just like things to work.
Please help as the most important thing I use my laptop for I now can't!!!!

    gm377!!!!
    Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh!
Talk about famous 3 words, It's All Fixed is what I love to hear ! Well good for you, bet you are glad
that is done and as I like to say when all of the ducks are in a row, FP is a piece of cake! It is always
the ducks that cause the problems.
You asked about the dates in manage add ons, as far as SFO is concerned and FP 10 it is more exact
to look at Add/Remove, the screen shot I have shows Adobe Flash Player 10 Plug in and the date is
11/18/09 probably when you did one of the Un/In stalls or the beta and it logged the correct version
there in Add/Remove. However in the 1st screen shot of add ons, SFO is not even listed, probably due
to the Uninstall and Reinstall actions. I have noticed Windows updates are listed in my Add/Remove, not
when I install them, but when Microsoft issued them and maybe Adobe does the same thing. Then I have
XP3/IE6, so you have differences there too. In my add on for example, no dates are shown and when I
updated my SFO Active X (I can do that with IE6:-) I know when I did it. Even though you had Shockwave
Flash Object listed you did not have the Flash10c.ocx which is the ActiveX CONTROL, the engine if you will
that Flash Player 10 works together with so all Flash websites, youtube, etc need. Think of having a gas pedal
and no gas in the tank, everything works together:-) The plug in you installed today was the Flash10c.ocx, the
    gas. Go look.
Hey are the slides working now too?
Ok, I'll take a Christmas card
Well thanks for the "star" and appreciation and the best to you!

  • Photoshop CS 4 won't use paper profiles.

Running Photoshop CS 4. Changed operating system to Windows 7 64 bit. Using a calibrated monitor and Epson 3800 printer. The paper profiles are not being applied by photoshop. Printed 50% gray scale patches with no correction. The printer managed  patches were more accurate than the photoshop managed grayscale patches. The photoshop managed 50% gray scale  were not even close. Anyone had this problem. Any insight greatly appreciated.

Go to c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works.
    Alternatively,
Try resetting the PSE preferences by
       1. Close Elements.
       2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Edit.
       3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall.
try and let me know your comments.

I am trying to install a paper profile I downloaded from Hahnemuhler .(PhotoRag) ...
.icc profile selected that matches the printer and paper
I copied the .icc profile to what I think is the right place: C:\windows\System32\spool\drivers\color
I right clicked the profile for PhotoRag
    I clicked Install
I restarted LightRoom and Photoshop ...
I looked under all paper profile options (incl. Other) ...
    NO PHOTORAG ...
What do you think I left out or missed?
    PC
    Windows 7
    Photoshop, Lightroom (latest versions)
    Much appreciated ... Chuck

you can see the icc profiles when you convert your color settings from RGB to CMYK.
    Therefore, you can try in Photoshop menu;
Edit - Convert to Profile and then you can select the profile which you've loaded to your Computer.
    Hope that works.

  • Printer Profile- Custom Paper not installing

I've been having an issue from prior to switching to the iPrint appliance where when I make a Printer Profile and add a custom paper size, that the custom paper does not get installed with the printer. I'm using the HP Universal Print Driver PCL6, v5.7, and in the process that I find that I am required to edit a driver's profile twice in order to add the custom paper type, in my case a clone of Letter called Letterhead.
The first time that I edit the printer driver profile I configure as much of the first driver screen as I can since I can't give the correct Letterhead tray assignment because it hasn't been created in the 2nd Printer Properties screen yet. Then I get to the screen and create the Letterhead paper type, open the PDP again and assign the Letterhead paper to the correct tray and then complete the PDP.
When the printer deploys to the systems it deploys with the letterhead tray showing as an Unknown paper type, even though I can go back into the PDP and see Letterhead designated on the tray. I can usually go into the local system manually and create the Letterhead type and assign the tray but whenever there is an update to the printer I have to manually fix the tray. Am I missing something for deploying custom paper in iPrint?

    Hi there Wolf!
I have a couple of articles here that I believe will help you out with your question. First, here is an article with some information on custom paper sizes:
OS X Mountain Lion: Manage custom paper sizes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH10748
Note that in that article, it states:
Custom paper sizes aren’t available for some printers.
The reason for that is because this is controlled by the driver for the individual printer. You will want to make sure you have the latest version of the printer driver installed on your computer. More information on this can be found in the following article:
Printer and scanner software available for download
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669
It might also be helpful to reset your printing system to see if that will resolve the issue. More information on this process can be found here:
Mac OS X: How to reset the printing system
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1341
Take care, and thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities.

  • Installing paper profiles in CS5

I am trying to install Hahnemühle paper profiles to print on my Epson R2880, but can not get them to show up in the Printer Profile drop down in the Print window.  I have gone to the paper web sites and picked the paper profile I need.  Then download to my new iMac and they don't show up in Color Sync or in CS5.
I had no problems in my old iMac in having them show up as a selection option after I closed Photoshop and reopened it, but can not get my new iMac to do the same.
    Please help!!--Steve

Check that the profiles are installed in the correct location as shown in the Choose Profiles dialog box which opens from LR. On 32 bit OS this is windows/system32/spool/drivers/color...this may be different on 64 bit OS. LR will only recognise RGB profiles so if you have CYMK profile these will not show up.Also check the box Include Display Profiles as sometimes paper profiles show up as display profiles for some reason.
