Windows 2003 process, started from a service, is aborted when closing sessi

Hello,
Short description of the problem :
a Java process (control-process) running as a service, starts other processes. When we log into the computer by
NetMeeting or an other tool like 'Terminalserver', that works with session 0, and log out, the started processes
are terminated. The service-process, that started the other processes is still running.
The problem seems to be , that the started process is handled in a different way, than the service process.
The child-process is started by the Java Method Runtime.exec(..)
Why is a child-process , started from a service (mother-process), not also running in the same mode as the service ?
Is it a problem of Windows or of the the JVM ?
Is it impossible (by WINDOWS) to manage, that the client-process runs in the same mode (service etc.)
as the mother process ?
If it is possible, how must the child process be configurated?
When the child process has aborted, the following message is seen by the mother process :
Exit code: 143 The system cannot join or substitute a drive to or for a directory on the same drive. ERROR_SAME_DRIVE
Here is the description of the surroundings:
- The server is Primergy RX600 of Siemens with Windows 2003 servers - operating system
- The processes are written to 100% in Java. With the Tool Native-J is generated from the jar-File to exe-File.
- The control Process
- We use the JDK 1.4 .2_06 of Sun
- The processes, that break off, enforces transformations between an Oracle-Database and ASCII file.
At the moment we manage with this problem that we won't use the session zero with TerminalDienstClient (without Console)
on the server i.e., administrators
But permanently we can guarantee this procedures badly, because our IT-Support-Team with
DameWare and NetMeeting tools takes care of the other servers.
Thank you for your help

Hi there
The child process receive a "SIGTERM" equivalent on windows. The exit code is actually 128 + 15.
Can you add in -Xrs when starting the child process, see if it helps you?

  • When I open Itunes it says,Windows could not start the bonjour service on local computer.

Just recently, I had a problem with the AVFoundation  thing on my computer. Well I got that fixed, but now it has a message coming up that says " Windows could not start the Bonjour Service service on local computer. Error 3: The system could not find the path specified.
Please tell me how to fix it.

Windows could not start the Bonjour Service service on local computer. Error 3: The system could not find the path specified.
    That's an unfamiliar one, steve.
Let's see what happens if we try to start the service manually.
In your Start menu, right-click Computer and select "Manage".
    Expand "Services & Applications"
Open "Services". (Perhaps maximise the Window to better see what's going on.)
Select the Bonjour Service and click "Start".
Do you get an error message then? If so, what does that one say?

My cluster suddenly went disappear. and tried to restart the cluster service. When trying to restart service this above mention error comes up.
even i tried to remove the cluster through power-shell still couldn't happen because of cluster service not running.
    Help me please.. thank you.

    Hi,
Could you confirm which account when you start the cluster service? The Cluster service is a service that requires a domain user account.
The server cluster Setup program changes the local security policy for this account by granting a set of user rights to the account. Additionally, this account is made a member
    of the local Administrators group.
If one or more of these user rights are missing, the Cluster service may stop immediately during startup or later, depending on when the Cluster service requires the particular
    user right.
    Hope this helps.

  • Windows could not start the remote services on local computer

windows could not start the remote services on local computer
1075: the dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion

    Hi,
On which system you are facing this issue?
Can you ping to the remote system\server successfully?
Initially it seems that this occur due to services issue on system. Might possible that the remote Services component is not installed or is disabled. For that you can add the remote Services component by using the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel
before attempting to start the service. If the service is already installed then check whether it is started properly. Additional check the relayed service for Remote and verify.
    Hope it helps!
    Thanks.

The Mac SuperDrive built into your Mac is the Optical drive.
    1. Insert your Windows DVD in Optical drive. Disconnect any external storage.
    2. Insert a USB2 Flash drive. This will be used to hold the BC drivers.
    3. Start BCA. Check the options to download software and Install Windows. You do not need to download Windows. The BCA will download the BC drivers to the USB.
    4. Partition your drive.
    5. You can see the Windows installer screens at https://help.apple.com/bootcamp/mac/5.0/help/#/bcmp173b3bf2.

  • Windows could not start Endeca CAS Service service on local computer.

Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in timed fashion.
I reinstalled Microsoft .net 4.5 and then installed endeca again... and all 3 services (CAS, TAF, and HTTP) were running fine... after another machine restart...now i find that CAS service is throwing error again...
It was giving same error earlier...
Anyone, if u have a solution to this problem... pls help

You can manually start the service from the Windows Services utility. You can also use the Recovery tab of this utility to set the failure recovery actions.
When you reboot a Windows machine, sometimes a service won't start because Windows is busy starting other services and that service's start-up procedure may time out.

  • Is it possible to access the Windows 2003 guest VM from the VM Server?

    Hi,
I have only one physical machine. I install VM server and VM Manager (using the VM Manager template) on the same physical machine. Then I create aa guest VM for Windows Server 2003. Can I run Windows Server 2003 in GUI mode like guest VM using VMWare Workstation? This setup is strictly for learning and I don't want to get another PC in order to access Windows 2003. If it is possibl, what other software must I install on the VM Server (Dom0) in order to for this to work?
    Thanks for your assistance.

  • Updating library "processing" starts from scratch every morning!

help! every morning when i start aperture it decides it needs to "process" ALL 12K pictures in my library. in the activity window it says it's "updating library." i have no idea what this means or why aperture needs to do this every day. (once it finishes — after six or seen hours! — it works fine. but while it's "processing" my entire system crawls to a halt and time machine feels compelled to run and run and run.)
i've recently "upgraded" from iphoto to aperture, but this is another terrible "gotcha!" that makes me want to go back.
any idea what's going on, or how i can stop this endless "processing"?!?
    thanks!

Have you tried the recommended trouble-shooting steps?
    http://documentation.apple.com/en/aperture/usermanual/index.html#chapter=26%26se ction=10%26tasks=true
Since your installation works well once it finishes processing, I suggest letting to so once more, and then try to repair and if nec. rebuild.

  • Ibook cycles from sleep to wake (only when closed and charging)

I have been having an issue with my 12' iBook g4 for about 6 months or so. It will operate just fine on battery power, but when I plug it in it will start to act up. The screen will flicker as it charges for a few seconds, then it stops charging. Then it starts, stops, starts, stops. I have found that it happens when the battery is lower (under 20%) and if I turn the backlight down or off that it will charge for a few seconds longer each cycle.
In addition to this if I close the computer when it is charging it will not sleep, just cycle back and forth. The only fix I have found it to leave the lid open and put it to sleep from the apple menu. As long as it is open it charges fine.
I now have a new macbook, but I wanted to sell this one and would rather not have this problem. Any ideas?

Have you tried resetting the PMU?
Also for the problem with it not sleeping properly while closed, if you are still seeing this behavior after resetting the PMU, try removing the keyboard and replacing it again. Sometimes this happens if the keyboard is not properly seated.

    OracleServiceVIS
    OracleVIS_db111_RDBMSTNSListenerVIS
    2) Start the application services
    Oracle Process Manager for VIS_ansari
    OracleVIS_ansari_TOOLSTNSListenerAPPS_VIS
    OracleConcMgrVIS_ansari
For the shutdown, stop the application services first, then stop the database and the database listener.
Note: I am listing the necessary services you have to start/shutdown, starting other services is optional.
Btw, the statup/stop sequence is outlined in [Oracle Applications Maintenance Procedures|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B53825_03/current/acrobat/121admp.pdf].

  • Crystal Reports 2008 crashes in Windows 2003 terminal Services Session

    Hi,
We installed Crystal Reports Server and Crystal Reports 2008 on a new Windows 2003 Small Business Server. Crystal Reports works when run at the physical console, but when accessed from Remote Desktop it crashes to the debugger when I try to:
    a) open an existing working report that uses SQL Server 2005 parameterized stored procedure,
    b) create a new report using any SQL Server 2005 parameterized stored procedure,
    c) access help.
All the above work fine at the physical server but I need to access remotely using RDC.
I log in as administrator, I have tried turning off DEP and I am running RDC via the mstsc command both without and with the  /admin switch to run in session 0 but there is still a difference between being at the physical console versus remote that CR does not like.
More: I have to drive a long way to get to the server to try things locally.  For now, as a workaround, I have started crw32.exe at the physical server and I can use that when I log in via RDC - I just cannot start crw32.exe remotely and run it successfully. Also, when I do run remotely, I get the entire menu bar on startup with no start page, but running at physical server I get only the File, View and Help menus but I do get the Start page.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
